SEPHORA at Kohl's

I went to this location last week and couldn't find the foundation I was looking for. The employee working there, Meli, helped me with shade matching for a different brand she recommended. She was super nice and helpful and gave great recommendations! She gave me some samples of other products she said she uses and highly recommends. She definitely knows what she is talking about and I will be coming back to purchase full size products.

Love this idea it's p much a whole sephora inside the Kohl's--kind of like how they had it at JC Penney--separate checkout etc.
I find even standalone stores' selection varies quite a bit and I was surprised & delighted at the pretty sizable range here. The people who work here are super nice, too. :-)

I love this Sephora the associates are not intimidating and easy to approach!! Not like regular sephora locations !

Don't work here if you don’t want to deal with a miserable 40 year old woman who has nothing to do but gossip , hang out with girls half her age , and act like a kid. The Sephora is managed by kohls management and they do not care about you or the team the team , the team leader is limited to what she can do in regards to holding associates accountable for their actions she has no control over anything because the kohls management try’s to control everything when they know nothing about Sephora ! This company is doing anything to save themselves from bankruptcy that’s why they signed a 10 year contract with Sephora who is saving their company and makes 70% of the sales . And in regards to a review on here by Jaidyn Castro she is miserable and has nothing to do with her time she hasn’t worked for the company in a year and a half and still leaves reviews and updates what a boring life !

I worked at the Gurnee Sephora in Kohls for a few months. I can genuinely say it was the worst job experience I’ve ever had. Upon being hired, I informed management I would need flexibility with my schedule because I am a full time Graduate student with classes, an internship, and family obligations. When I asked to switch my days I was no longer scheduled. I was harassed by the staff via text and social media. Management and HR failed to do anything despite me composing a 4 page letter to HR and submitting proof I was being bullied by team leaders. I simply asked they not schedule me with the people harassing me, yet they continued to do so and told the other staff at Sephora I was going to be terminated. Yet, they never reached out to me. Very toxic and unprofessional work environment. There were no consequences for my former coworkers that were harassing me. They were able to keep their management positions. I would not recommend working at this location. Actually, after dealing with Kohl’s management and HR I wouldn’t work for the company period. Basically, the staff is composed of teenage bullies and leadership does absolutely nothing about it despite receiving several complaints from both customers and other employees.

Follow up: the two employees I wrote to HR about ended up calling another employees’ autistic child “retarded,” and this employee had to confront the other employees themself. Just demonstrates the lack of professionalism on behalf of Sephora and Kohl’s management. These employees should’ve been fired over a year ago. Initially, I didn’t include names, but since Nubia wants to continue being the rude person that she is, I’ll update it with her name included. Nubia Guzman was one of the employees. Imagine being a 20+ year old mean girl… what a boring life !

Zeros stars if I could. Horrible customer service, I was trying to figure out about a cologne in stock. One worker saw me going to ask and ran away like a 5yr old, didn’t even attempt to look busy at least. Don’t work in customer service if you just want to stand around mean mugging people.

The sales associate at this location is very rude. She must hate her job to be rude & unhelpful to customers! Date at the store was 12/14/23 at 3:10 pm

Is it convenient? Yes. Is it worth your money? NOPE? Workers are in your business and I get it’s there job but this girl was following me and asking me if I was ready to checkout when I was clearly not I thought it was obvious by how I was intensely looking for product I wanted to buy. This girl was an older woman with gray short hair I don’t know why but she kept coming up to me asking if I needed a bag for the ONE item I had in my Hand I politely told her no and she left and comes up to me AGAIN asking if I’m ready to checkout? No I certainly was not she ruined my mood and I ended getting nothing and I went home this place has absolutely no products their stock of stuff has been the same since 4 months ago I’ve went here abt 10 times looking for specific products and each time they never had what I was looking for this area needs to do better on what they sell and pick their employees out better bc each time I went there my experience was horrendous. This is the only Sephora I have near me and it’s just sad that this is it. And btw this place is very nasty theirs product spilled boxes thrown I don’t think anyone even cleans the place.

Not even one star. This is an embarrassment for any Sephora store. I will never be back. It’s disgusting, a mess and can’t believe this particular Sephora wouldn’t be shut down.

Great idea, location. Unfortunately, the store is always a mess. Staff is very moody and your afraid to even ask for help. They all appear angry!!! So many products out of stock. It's just a mess and it's unfortunate because this could be such a good store for it's location.

I love the convenience of the location but out of stock of a lot of makeup, employees are hard to find and when you do find someone, you soon find out you are better off helping yourself, customer service could be better.

Absolutely no. There were so many teens playing, opening, and contaminating the makeup in the store- I didn’t want to buy used products during a pandemic or ever. The staff could care less. Shop somewhere else.

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. To say they are rude is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Especially the guy with blonde bleached hair.

The one worker from England was so rude and disrespectful.
