Bodega 42 Fresh Market

So happy I found this spot! Got an ad online and decided to go check it out. The best part? The bakery is great. We got a slice of chocoflan and tres leches cake. Each was about $5.50 and worth it. My mama is always on the look out for a good slice of tres leches and she really enjoyed this one. We also went home with some groceries. Limes were super cheap and we also got fresh aloe vera, ready to cook cactus and other items. Next time, I definitely need to order from their kitchen. The tamales looked yummy. The worst part? Not much to add. Some items were priced higher but most were cheap or reasonable. I’m looking forward to coming back and loved that staff spoke Spanish too.

Beautiful store! We love the variety of tres leches cake! Only suggestion I would add is - are you able to do caramel tres leches cake?
Self check out systems are still adapting but staff is very helpful and friendly. The store has so many fresh options and pon! 😍

This place is fantastic! Clean organized and delicious cooked food. Great cut fruit options and hard to get food ingredients were found here!! Highly recommended! The people in the store were super helpful and kind!

Very excited about this new market in Apple Valley. Twenty dollars bought this barbacoa platillo, a pollo taquito, a beef dobladita, the chocolate oreja, and 1/2 pound of guavas.

Chorizo breakfast burrito for the win! It was fresh, great flavor, and overall outstanding. My only slight critique is that the fryer oil could be changed more often for the pastries. The churro had such nice crunch and texture but the deep fryer oil taste was noticeable.

Great products, clean environment, offers great prices and variety of products. I even found the cashew fruit that I couldn’t find anywhere in the Twin Cities. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!!!!

Love this store and the owners! So nice to see individual ownership and not a corporation. I end up getting the best advice on how to expand my cooking skills from the other customers!! I can't say how much I love this addition to our community ❤

Impressive house made tortillas. More impressive hot deli. Most impressive bakery!

This place is phenomenal! A foodie’s dream! The customer service was the best I’ve ever seen at a market/maybe even anywhere. The workers explained what things were, offered suggestions, offered samples to try, and were just so appreciative to their customers. This is the opposite of your average chain grocery store. I will be back to try their baked goods, as they were the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend their hot food to go (deli area). I got lunch to go and it lasted me three lunches!! Also- their freshly made tortillas, chips, guacamole, and salsas are pure perfection.
It’s so great to have authentic food options in Apple Valley.

Impressive place! Bakery/panadería made us drool with all the yummy options. Deli has great options too, and we found a couple grocery items here that we’ve only ever found in MN at Burrito Mercado which is too far to go to regularly. SO happy this is in Apple Valley now and highly recommend! Can’t wait to try the restaurant as well.

Got some veggies that are harder to find in AV here, for a really good price too. Their corn tortillas are good quality and cheap! The pastries are super tasty and reasonably priced. Ordered an empanada from hot foods and it was really tasty. Looking forward to trying more foods. Really appreciate having bodega 42 in apple valley.

Worth a visit just for the tres leches cake alone! Light, not too sweet, absolutely delicious. The store has a large variety of items and fresh produce.

Clean store, fresh produce. Many baked sweets and cakes! Wonderful butcher selection as well as hot items. Fresh tortillas too. Prices are reasonable for ethnic items they carry and fresh produce. Employees are nice. Definitely recommend!! There may be a language barrier with some of the employees so be kind and patient!

This place is an absolute gem. The folks there, especially in the butcher section, are just so friendly and helpful. They've got this amazing bakery with the tastiest bread and pastries (had the chocolate and queso flan) , and their tortillas are to die for and let me be . What really stands out is their top-notch customer service; they really go the extra mile.

In a world of big, impersonal supermarkets, Bodega 42 is a breath of fresh air. I've made it my go-to spot for all my grocery needs because they make you feel like family. They are more expensive than Aldi (my usual spot), but I'd rather give my money to a local place. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this fantastic shopping experience!

Beautiful new store in Apple Valley with a lot of fresh produce and unique Hispanic foods and drinks. They have Coke in the glass bottle that uses real sugar cane. I can never find this anywhere!! It comes in a 4 pack too. This might be a "hidden gem" for your other soda desires too, pretty good pricing.

Loved the fresh hot corn tortillas!! Refried beans & rice, wonderful house chips and salsa. Delicious baked goods. Adorable hand painted mugs.
