Stew Leonard's

This is not your typical grocery store. It was a much more enjoyable shopping experience than most markets.

There were many fewer big-named brands than at most stores. Instead, it was chock full thier own foods. The produce section was very varied and a great way to start your food shopping adventure. The bakery section was nearly overwhelming, and all the other departments were amply stocked.

I was impressed by both the layout as well as the placement of products. The aisles are purposefully designed to guide you from one department to the next. In fact, it would be more akin to a meandering path. There were shortcuts from one section to another, but overall, you are drawn to explore the store in its full glory. I also noticed that there were items placed strategically throughout. For instance, I saw some of the items (like condiments) were in several places.

The final impression that I was left with was the little bit of whimsy scattered throughout. At various locations, there were animateonics that can be activated with a simple push of a button. I especially liked the moving cow in the dairy section, although there were plenty of others which to be entertained by. I saw a singing chicken in the cheese area, but that's a story for another time.

A regional chain of supermarket located in prime location of Newington. The decoration inside is too good. I was taken aback when I first visited the place. The price is however in a higher side. There’s a liquor store inside as well. Budget customers however prefer to visit Sam’s club across the street.

It’s always a pleasure visiting. I sing, dance and enjoy the fun while shopping. The customer service is like no other. We always get a free bag and my ice cream points are out of control. 😂 The food is so fresh.. We spend a lots of money but honestly, it’s worth every penny. Keep up the good work. It’s not often we get your way but when we do, we truly enjoy the trip. You must pay your employee top dollar because everyone, even the manager who thanked us on the way out was super NICE! One of the favorite grocery stores to do shopping. Everything is fresh. You will find even prepared food that can compete with top restaurants. Don't forget to get an ice cream on the way out, so delicious that will "put the cherry on the cake". Have a great time there

This is a fun store with entertainment in every aisle. Great place to shop if you have kids coz I’m pretty sure they will be amused. Prices are reasonable. Great customer service. This place smells like home cooked meals and pastries.

I love the craziness of Stews but don't love being corralled. But all and all, fun place to shop. We like the buffet area. The food is delicious!

This is the best grocery store I've ever been to! They have amazing baked goods and a very entertaining store! It's definitely worth the 45 minute ride for us to shop here!
They also sell the best coffee! Such a great place to shop!

I grew up going to Stew Leonard's in Norwalk. My grandparents took me there a lot. It's nostalgic for me. I love that my kids can experience the singing animatronics like I did. I have a special feeling about the Norwalk store, but I think the Newington stores is a very good facsimile.

ExcelentI recommend it 300%. It is a place where you will find a world 🌍 of fresh products, a cafeteria, an ice cream parlor, prepared food, good service and the most important thing is that despite many people going there, you feel relaxed and happy looking for what you need.

I recently made an email regarding a broken animatronic, and what do you know! It’s fixed right the next time I come! Amazing service, so warm and welcoming and very family friendly. Even better food too!

Absolutely hands down the cutest store in Connecticut, If my sons were still young they would have loved it. The little Chiquita banana shuffle to goofy swinging off the ceiling will keep the little ones busy and their food is simply fresh and delicious. I also noticed the store was very clean and our bagger was so nice, I hope he becomes a radio personality. :) Great Store and employees.

I got Thanksgiving dinner catered from Stew Leonard's and was great. The dinner served 4 but really was even more food than that! The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the snowball dinner rolls but I guess that's just personal preference. Will definitely order again.

Stew Leonard's is always a great time ! I wish we had one closer to Southeastern CT. My girls always have a blast. The ice cream is always delicious and food options are amazing.

Really cool place. Wide variety of different exotic foods and fruits. Staff is nice. It smells amazing! The bakery just fills the air with the smell of cider doughnuts. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. There's something and more for everyone!

Place us fun for kids, quality of the produce is excellent as is the bakery, just expect to spend an extra 25% over norm for the privilege.

This is such a one of a kind store! It has all your grocery shopping needs at great quality! Fun for kids! With all the fun attractions inside. Many free samples. A large buffett and ice cream shop. It was plenty of fun visiting this store! I will be back again! Ot has a wine and pet store inside also!

Got our dinner meats... all I can say is... it's cheaper to buy here than at Big Y, Stop & Shop...

Fresh produce, dairy, and meat. My go-to store for all of these items.
I love the prepared meals that are ready to buy when I have a busy week.

I like to get a coffee at the start of my shopping trip to enjoy while winding my way through the aisles and interactive decor.
Sometimes I pick up something at the hot food buffet at the end of the shopping trip.
And when I want an extra treat, I use my reward points to get an icecream at the end.

Always like Stews. Very busy on this day - Sunday midday. Still got through quickly and plenty of cashier's. Good specials.
