Price Chopper

I am writing to thank April and Paul in the bakery department for all their help and hard work on December 31, 2023. I had placed and paid for an order approximately 2 weeks prior for 2 large trays of breakfast items for New Years Day. My plan was to just run in and pick the trays up. For whatever reason the order was never filled. April and Paul went to work immediately, as busy as they were, to fill the order very quickly for me. I appreciated they were able to do this since I was on a tight schedule with little time to spare. You both made it work. Again, thank you for all your help. Janet P

We've recently moved to Connecticut and were looking for a supermarket that was affordable and had a large selection. Price Chopper Newington has been the closet thing to the large supermarket we're used to. The selection was amazing, the prices very affordable. The best meat and vegetable selection I've seen in Connecticut. The meat was very high quality and the best pricing in Hartford County.

I love shopping here and instacarting here! They always have deals! The workers in deli, meats and produce are always so so nice and helpful!! The cashier are really nice, they can be a bit slow scanning and distracted, have to ask them to help you bag while you have 4 people behind you starting daggers at you to hurry up. But all in all still love this store!

Very Clean Supermarket. Very organized. Friendly staff and they had my Mom Favorite cake! 😍

I've read some of the most recent reviews of this store location and have experienced some things differently.

When stock is low at ANY store, especially for the last 12 months, just remember that we were (and still are) in a pandemic. The store cannot control how the food industry has been impacted. It's a supply & demand matter. We'd all link to think that things should have gotten much better now, but not for all food items.

All stores have their own "look." One may think that the store looks outdated, but perhaps this is the vision of the company. Perhaps not good or bad. What should matter is the quality of the food and the customer service that one receives when needed help or interacting with store associates.

Cashiers/Baggers are not always the best and some just kind of toss your food in the bag, but there are some who are conscious about one's items and bags with thought. Yes, bagging matters to me.

Some items at Price Chopper are more expensive than at other stores, but they do have some good sales on some items. Shop at whichever location gives you warm & fuzziness but don't cross Price Chopper off your list. They're really not that bad.

Price Chopper is always a good visit!! The store is clean, stocked, and have the best prices around. The staff is awesome. Remembering customers names. Always asking if they can help as well as greeting you both coming in and when you're leaving the store. No reason to shop anywhere else!

I visited here on a Friday morning about 9am. I wanted a bagel and I got more then I had anticipated, in a good way. You can get a bagel toasted and with cream cheese on it. Also the employees I interacted with, Antonino and Angel were extremely helpful and a joy to talk to. The attendant of the self checkout was able to help me pay for the bagel while helping another customer. I would suggest that Price Chopper do some research and development on improving the self checkout system, it does seem to be still dependant upon an attendant more than other stores.

I love shopping here because of the good selection on all brands. The only thing I have an issue with is the wilted lettuce in the produce department. They over price the red and green leaf lettuce and it is not fresh at all.

Gas points add up quick and prices are usually better then other big chain stores. Quality of their special made items in and around the deli area are fantastic. Recyclers this is the spot to return that accept all bottles which makes them awesomely GREEN!!!

Pleasantly surprised!! Great prices, clean store, high quality meats and fresh baked goods. Wonderful customer service, even though they were very busy.

Good selection. It’s kind of one of those stores that keeps their foods and goods in boxes on the shelf. But overall great service, quick and easy, small place. Clean

At first I stayed away due to the name. I thought it to he generic. I was very mistaken. It is a store I find most enjoyable. clean, organized, great atmosphere, and very helpful employees. How can I ever shop anywhere else now? Good thing is I don't need too.

They're the only ones that carry German chocolate cake 🎂

We love it. It is rarely crowded, always clean, and well maintained. The employees are always friendly and helpful especially with signing me up for extra savings.

Love love my price chopper very clean, Beautiful costumer service,its is beautiful to see Nice smiles no matter what going on in world these days,but i have to say i truly miss Allen at the meat departament he made my day with a big hug and laughter.♥♥

The people that work for the company were very noe nd helpful. The store was very clean. Produce very fresh. It is the store to shop for your family and be very satisfied.
