I can't say enough good about this place the prices are amazing. This place is about volume, sometimes a product will be passed its prime. So don't get that product. There are lots of choices. I have never seen so many different ethnic foods and domestic foods in one location.

This market literally has everything you can't find in grocery stores from unusual spices and condiments to international pastas to fruits and veggies that are hard to find. It's always an adventure shopping here.

I would say it's a 5 out of 5 for deals, but 4 out of five for quality of SOME of the produce because they don't always get rid of their produce when it goes bad. They do have FABULOUS deals like multiple kinds of apples in the fall for 40 or so cents a pound! I have seen other fabulous deals on bags of grapes, pallets of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, organic asparagus, oranges, bell peppers, lemons and limes, pumpkins, tomatoes, plums, pears, etc. Great place for large families or food for feeding large groups of people. You never know what will be on sale when you go there. They usually have a big sign out front saying what their great deals are, but not always. Sometimes you just gotta go inside and see. They do have a great variety of most produce you would find in the grocery store and also kinds not as easy to find.

A simple local market but excellent prices, excellent prices and the people who work there are nice. I like having a nice place right in my neighborhood where i can get some fresh fruit and vegetables without having to voyage through a giant superstore. My daughter loves to pick a new foreign candy or other year when we go there.

Really good deals if what you need is fresh that day. Mostly one of those places you buy what looks good that day and can't rely on what you need being in good condition so work with what they have.

Great prices. Friendly helpful staff. Only draw back is the produce is ripe so you can't store long. However the plus is the produce is ripe and you don't h ave to wait to eat it.

Cheapest place to buy fruits and veggies! I go here at least once a week. You can go with $20 and get bags of stuff.*** 2022 update*** Most stuff seems on the verge of being rotten. I think it’s different owners. Not real happy with my selections lately. Been going to Jewel for their fruit and veggie sales instead. ***

I give this place 5 stars because I understand I have not going here to shop at Whole Foods, I am going to Evans's Market.
They have lots of produce, some truly exotic items that I can't get in Northwest Indiana & I understand that the orange peppers I bought 4/$1.25 need to be cut up and put in what I'm cooking today or tomorrow, not next week.
They fill a need in my book bu offering what they do & they are honest with their pricing. Thank you for what you. Keep up the good work

Fun to browse. Recently has become a go to. I can always get Curry leaves and green unripe papaya which I use for Indian recipes. Can't get those anywhere else in the region. I also pick up in-season fruits and veggies. Prices are great. It's not a grocery store, so I limit my selection to what I use in 3-4 days because they sometimes ripen quickly. Overall I love this place. Yes they sometimes have items that are overripe. I just move along to the fresher shipments. But I've seen people buy some of these....possibly for stew or something. Lots of "ethnic" foods you can't get elsewhere. I would be tragically out of luck without this place. It's single handedly upped my Indian cuisine game, ever since I moved back from Indianapolis where I had access to international supermarkets.

I love this place because most of the time it is cheaper than stores. You do have to be careful because some things spoil quickly because they are so ripe. I recommend buying enough that you will eat in a few days. I was so overtaken by the low prices, I bought too much and paid for it cause I didn't eat it in time. Love the diversity.

I worked in this Evan Farmer Market for 5 months now. I really liked this job. My worker men really good care all fruits and vegetables. We did check cut fruits to taste it, make sure still fresh. I feel I have a close their family in the work. But I haven’t work for one weeks now. I just have no idea what going on.

I was driving by and saw their sign for dollar pumpkin's and decided to stop. I didn't realize I was going in a store at 1st and did not have a mask. I went up to the door and the employees opened the door and invited me in! Such a welcoming experience. Most the people didn't have a mask on and it was amazing and refreshing. Please support them and head over. I'll be back
