Fareway Meat Market

This lil meat market is amazing! They've got tons of seafood, smoked meats, Italian meatballs, BBQ, specialty meats, local desserts, etc. We went to check it out Saturday night, and Gerry at the butcher counter was the sweetest gentleman ever! We grabbed several types of meats to sample and a few sides. The brisket baked beans, smoked meatloaf, and Italian meatballs were seriously some of THE best we've had around all the KC area! I'd take these over most of the Italian restaurants I've been to by far. We'll definitely be back to try more BBQ, and seafood!

Wow! Grand Opening today and they were giving out a pound of ground beef just for showing up...who does that?! Very nice store, a great selection in the meat selection. They have ready made bbq for sale. They actually have a smoker out back so you know it's the real deal. An awesome selection of bbq spices and sauces. Groceries, beer, wine, and hard liquor. Everything you need under one roof to make your weekend a great weekend! This will be my new favorite place!

Very wide selection for how small the place is! Love their meat counter! Comparable prices. Of the staff I have met thus far very friendly and well worth the extra 10 minutes or so without traffic it takes to get there. They are closer than whole foods, cheaper than whole foods, and their meat counter is at least 3 times larger than whole foods. Not only that but their quality seems to be better than whole foods. Much preferred over trader Joe's if I'm grabbing meat or just about anything meat related. This store's focus is their meat counter! Other than trader Joe's and whole foods I cannot think of another store to compare them to! Will be going here for many items from now on! So glad they moved closer as I never have business in the other parts of they metro that they moved to. This is a welcomed addition to the northland. They have built a whataburger QT starbucks around the store and have at least 2 more stores going in. It is the ideal location if you live in kc north gladstone liberty and dare I say even excelsior springs and Smithville the like. Price chopper got to diluted. Hyvee got to big to fast and have not scaled up their work force. This place has the staff the inventory and the way to do business in the Midwest down to a t. If I had transportation I would love to work there myself.

I shopped here in Iowa for many many years. Great move for them to add a store in North Kansas City on 152 hwy. Meat department is signature. Lots of traffic even early in the day. Try Fareway for "fair" prices on meat and deli items.

This is a great small grocery store with all the essentials. The meat counter was amazing with the variety of meats. The staff was friendly and prompt with service. The full service deli was amazing and the $7.99 daily sandwich specials are pretty sweet.

Super busy the Friday before Christmas yet every employee remained positive, extra helpful, and on the ball. Fantastic selection of meat, of course. And lots of specials.

We ordered a prime rib. They had ready right on time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Large selection of sauces and add ons. Highly recommend

I love this market. The butchers in particular are very knowledgeable and helpful. The store is fairly small so it’s not the right place for everyone for everything, but the prices are great and I prefer to support local when I can.

Great meat selection. Good selection of high quality food items comparable to Hy-Vee and prices are comparable as well. This is not Walmart, it is a specialty grocery store. Also Friendly service.

Great to have a hometown favorite in KCMO! Grew up in Iowa and shopped this store hundreds of times! The meat is awesome!

The prices and select can’t be beat on meat (the rest of the groceries are pretty pricy).

The place to go for meat in the Northland. Don't forget to stop by the deli and get a hot bbq sandwich and some brisket mac and cheese!
