Super Bear IGA Supermarket

This review is 💯% about the grilled burrito bar. It's hard to find tinga chicken down states let alone in AK, and this is great tinga. The regular one is huge. Can't imagine being able for a jumbo in one sitting. There aren't instructions or a step by step of fillings so you need to be listening to the options. I like the full service Mexican restaurants in Juneau, but this is the best place for standalone burritos.

Love coming to Super Bear. Always find something new I couldn’t get at any other store here. I have fond memories of the Super Bear zipper pulls—bring those back and you’ll have a whole generation of 90’s kids being excited to rep “the Bear” with their own kids!

The guys who make the burritos are so great they make amazing food and are so kind I do think it would be great to have cold drink by the deli

Burrito Bar is one of the main reasons that brings me in--the Burrito Boys are awesome!! Whatever you want in your Burrito--need special add ins or substitutions due to allergies, medical reasons, or just preference? Get what you need from the grocery side, and they'll put it in for you no problem!! 100/10 would recommend; great quality, massive quantity, outstanding service and all for one low price!!

Marcos and Cyrus at the burrito station are an outstanding example of how customer service is not dead in Juneau. Not only is the price great, and the made-to-order food excellent, but they leave you feeling like someone who is appreciated for walking in the door. I used to frequent a burrito place in Lemon Creek, but the humanity has been sucked out of that experience. Go here - and take your family home a fresh prepped dinner from Super Bear!

Very nice place to shop for people with sensory issues as it's a lot less intense than Fred's.

Friendly staff, good vibes, and they actually have human cashiers which is a plus.

The guys at the hot food counter are awesome, and tireslessly make really good food every day.

Decent selections of various products. They've started carrying a lot more hot sauces and Monster so that's great too.

The grocery store is solid too. I'd say they have the best produce in town, a great meat selection and generally everything I need from an Asian grocery as well.

The burrito bar is incredible! And the staff crafting the food in the burrito bar really know their product. Why have I not heard of this sooner?! Between the delicious food and the great prices, the Super Bear burrito bar is my new favorite!

The Burrito Bar is the best lunch in town! The only thing that could possibly make it better would be some cilantro, lime rice 😎 the crew making them are always polite and friendly!

Great store. Main thing that brings me in though is the burrito bar- easily the tastiest, most affordable "mexican" food in town. The big guy with the glasses and beard is my favorite. I've been coming here for lunch 3-4 times/week for a year now and he is the only one I trust with my admittedly complicated order. Great food. Consistently spectacular customer service.

Marcos was so great! He offered me tastes of things, and made sure I knew every option. I am a big baby when it comes to spice, and he wanted to be a sure I was happy with what I got.

Hella PHAT jumbo grilled burritos! Guys working there are super nice, you can customize anything to the max and you can't beat the price. It's just a plus they taste delicious too!

The Burritos and Tacos are the best here in all of Juneau. Closets thing to chipotle, qudoba or moes. And the guys that serve are the absolute best! Great price for huge portions. 10/10 recommend!!!!
