Stop & Shop

This store was great. I would recommend people coming to this store to buy whatever they need. We were buying stuff for BBQ as well. It has all we need.

It’s good in a pinch. It’s one of the smaller shops so there isn’t a wide variety but they have what you need. Whenever I need something for dinner I just pop in and out, super easy. They have great premade salads and sandwiches as well!

Helpful staff. Hilariously chaotic naming of isles, "all the ingredients" being listed on 3 separate isles 😂🤌😂

OTR Truck Driver here...I love coming to this store, I can park and restock my truck, and be on my way. Good selections, helpful workers, just a good store to come to, I've been here many times before, always a good experience.

Canaan, being the capital of Connecticut, makes this Stop and Shop’s location superior to any other grocery store on the planet. As a long time customer, I do not understand the negative reviews left regarding staff and food selection. One individual brought up a lack of fresh produce. People still eat vegetables? Complaining about a lack of greens at Stop and Shop is like complaining that there isn’t enough VCRs to go around: it’s because they are outdated. Another person was complaining about the self-checkout section being out of order. Is this something to be upset about? You really want to bag your own groceries and pay for them? No, you don’t, so stop acting like you’re a hard worker. Lastly, the addition of the robot named “Marty” is better than the invention of Play-dough. While Marty doesn’t do anything besides get in the way, it never gets old to look down the aisles and say “What the fu- oh, it’s Beepy.” Overall, Stop and Shop in Canaan is so perfect it’s considered Holy in my book.

You have the most wonderful crew! I have always found everyone happy and helpful but today was beyond exception! Danyelle ( hope this is correct) and Jacon are two wonderful human beings!

Feels friendly. Everyone stops to chat with other customers. Could use a bit brighter lighting and lower isle signs. They have good service and selection.

Were here all the time shopping. Were at the campground up the road a piece. Stop and shop always screws up our gas discount receipts. Got to use them
