My wife and I have dined at The White Hart three or four times over the last couple of years and the experience just gets better and better. Last night, we sat in the taproom, as the lucky guests of friends. Every dish showed an exemplary combination of sound, exciting conception and flawless technique. I am a French-trained chef, and I can assure you there is no better cook anywhere in the area. This gentleman deserves much more recognition, and all of his loyal following, among which we number ourselves and other friends. The service and ambiance are equally topnotch, they make great cocktails, and choose excellent wine. The setting is beautiful. What more could you ask for?

The room was clean and cozy. The bartender is one of the best in the business, and all staff are accommodating and polite. Nice twists on a few classics with the menu.

We had dinner in the Tap Room, found a place at the bar…and it was divine! First, the bartender made me a surprise drink …delicious to say, and then dinner arrived…we shared the burger and sprouts…it was soooo good! Dessert made its way and that too was outstanding….all great! Must go! We went back the next night and it was just as good!

We’ve been coming to this amazing inn every year for 10 years now. The rooms, the staff, the food, the common spaces — every single detail is absolutely perfect. I’m so grateful for all the family memories we’ve made here over the years.

Food and drinks were great! Servers were attentive. Best dinner rolls I have ever had in my life!

This place is definitely set back in time and a must see..a charming atmosphere as well the food is superior..made with high quality local ingredients..while your here check out provisions their little gem in the back..I meet here whenever I have the chance ..bring a friend or your laptop if you have work to do..have a fresh cup of coffee or delicious hot chocolate..made from fresh milk…a place that will make you feel like you have all the time in the world..if your a guest here you can take out the bikes ..ride around town with the whole family…

I could not have picked a more beautiful hotel with a more perfect staff. Everyday was a treat. Thank you all for making our stay so wonderful.

Delightful find that captures the essence of the Berkshires

The staff are very warm and welcoming and very helpful. They do not have any airs about them which really makes those place.

We easily drive the 30 minutes from Mass for anniversaries, birthdays and sometimes for an inventive well done meal. Enticing and broad menu, many locally sourced, served well and with a cheery staff (check out the bartender in the Tavern-outstanding). The physical environment of the inn is worth the trip offering a dining, a pub, and a relaxing library space, Judging by the off season crowd last night during our birthday celebration there's a strong regional following. Recommended.

Love the White Hart Provisions! I used to work locally and frequently went out of my way to stop here for coffee and a bite. The staff is always so friendly, the options are all delicious from the sandwiches to the lattes. Don’t skip the White Hart!

A stay at the White Hart is now an annual tradition and each time the experience gets better. The staff is so kind and accommodating, the food is incredible at both the restaurant and the provisions shop and the rooms are so cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed each and every nook in the entire space. Looking forward to next year. Go visit if you haven’t yet!

Had a 10/10 sandwich from Provisions. Great produce, ingredients the bread was perfect. 10/10 cookie. They sell good pies, honey, jams, cheese etc. The tap room pub smells of wood and ale. Felt like I was an England again. Thank you !

The White Hart is a lovely country inn. Salisbury itself is a perfect jewel box of a New England village, enjoyed by vacationers for a very long time.

We were so pleased by the hospitality at the inn. To begin, the staff is attentive and caring. The rooms are very pretty, with renovated bathrooms, poster beds, big screen TVs and good wifi. There was a fridge in the room stocked with bottled waters and a selection of locally produced teas and juices. Guests pick up breakfast at Provisions, a little shop on site. We had a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon, avocado toast, and cappuccino. We helped ourselves to fresh orange juice, then sat outside on the porch in big wicker chairs to take in scene. The drinks in the room and breakfast are included in the room. Very nice.

Dinner at the Tap Room also gets 5 stars. There are several places to dine, indoors or out on the porches and terrace. Service is excellent, prices are fine, portions are generous and in all, it's a lovely experience.

There is plenty of parking and the inn is handicap accessible. There were children with guests, and although the inn is quite elegant is is also comfortable and homey.

Beautiful inn with beautiful rooms. Everyone on the staff was sweet and helpful. Provisions is a gem (taco night is first rate, breakfasts are included and delicious). Sitting reading by the fire was a perfect way to spend a chilly afternoon. Easy walk into town and lots of antique stores nearby.

Where do I begin??? This place is incredible. I travel A LOT. and I have never been at a place where I feel so welcome and taken care of. Jess at the front desk went above and beyond in every possible way to make my stay amazing. She texted me to see if I needed anything and how my stay was going, and no matter what my request (directions, dinner reservations, great walking trail etc..) she was in top of it. The food was amazing. The rooms are clean and so cute. This place is a hidden gem!!

This has got to be the warmest, coziest, most relaxing inn I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The hospitality was excellent. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Our suite was incredibly comfortable and homey. The decor and furnishings transported me to a simpler, fancier time. Having dinner at the restaurant was one of the tastiest experiences I have ever had. Every single bite was superb. We will most definitely stay here every single time we are in town.

Fantastic evening at The White Hart on the porch of the Tap Room. We had Heard- the food was delicious and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend the corn starter and the burger. Great with gluten free including gluten free bread rolls and gluten free buns.

The White Hart handled a large memorial for the family yesterday. I was very surprised at how beautiful everything was inside after the extensive and historically sensitive renovations. We were immediately greeted by a member of staff, Connor. Throughout the night he was amazing. Whatever was needed, he and the staff were on it. The fires were cozy and comforting, the food was outstanding, the bar staff was strong, and the staff seemed to provide for every single need. Over and over, the guests, many of whom had traveled great distances, said to us, "What a great place!" An event like this is tough to pull off. What a great place to give tribute to the man.

Lovely dinner and we stayed the night as well. Updated and very comfortable rooms. The bed and pillows were very nice. It was sweet that we had a little deck outside our door with two chairs and a little table. We had our night cap right there. So romantic. The dinner service was right on. And very accommodating staff. A little pricey for the room.

Stayed for the first time after trying to get there for a couple of years. Our son is at the salisbury school and reservations around school events fill up fast. The suite was spectacular! Unfortunately the dinner wasn't on par with the room. Uninspired limited menu and substandard service. We will go back but dinner reservations will be elsewhere.
