Walking in the owners were so welcoming and friendly! I ordered the Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken and Kalua Pork plate that comes with Rice and Pasta Salad, as well as a side of the Spam Musubi. You can tell from the flavors and quality of these authentic dishes that every dish is made fresh with high quality ingredients. What a great experience and I can't wait to come back.

Delicious food and the owners are incredibly nice people! We got teriyaki pineapple chicken, turkey tail, sapasui, palusami, taro, green banana, mac salad, vaimago, and guava cake. The owners describe it as real family-style home cooking. So tasty!

They also have beautiful island jewelry, accessories, gifts, carvings, clothing, leis, and other cultural items - many handcrafted. I wanted to buy all of the necklaces and bracelets :)

There are grocery shelves with imported island products and a little fridge with specialty island produce too.

Mahalo to Laukau and JP for the hospitality and yummy grindz, I enjoyed my takeout lunch today and my mom loved your food too!

I keep forgetting to write my review regarding the owner & food. We had the best experience here and the owner truly has the aloha spirit. I was visiting from GA and I was looking for Purity brand Hawaiian Portuguese sausage like I use to buy back home in Kailua. She had one in stock but special ordered me 10 more to take back to GA for family members. If you're not aware Portuguese sausage, also referred to as linguista sausage on the mainland, is not the same as Hawaiian Portuguese sausage. She carries the REAL HAWAIIAN Portuguese sausage and everyone was so excited when I arrived with it.
I also want to point out that she went out of her way to be sure I had it in hand before flying back to GA, despite a devastating loss on her family. I am so grateful to her and the professionalism she showed even though she was in such a state of shock and sadness. She made sure someone came to meet me with my special order. PLEASE keep businesses and people like them in business! They serve authentic Hawaiian food, like excellent musibi, in the store too so stop by and pick some up for lunch or dinner. Aloha and mahalo!

Absolutely love this place. A totally family run place where JP and family make me feel like I am a part of it. Everyone is so welcoming and you have a smile on your face the whole time you are there. And then there is the food. UNBELIEVABLE AND AMAZING. Cooked fresh the day of and is the BEST POLYNESIAN food in AZ no doubt.

I am thrilled to have found this place. I can get ingredients I used to buy regularly in Anchorage. It’s a mom and pop place and they were very friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious!

This is a newer small mom and pop shop, run by a wife and husband team, and so they do make rookie mistakes so just be patient. But they are trying and I really want them to do well, so I hope everyone supports this business.

Hours of Operation:
Usual hours - Tuesday thru Saturday from 11am until 6pm.
However I recommend before going to the store, to check their Facebook page because they sometimes will announce that they will be closed on a specific day.

Cost of plates:
I eat out a lot and I've also eaten at many polynesian restaurants so I know around where prices should be, and based on that it is a smaller eatery and is specialty food the cost is about right. I should have taken a pic of the menu - they recently wrote it better in store. But to give you a general idea - I dont remember the exact amount but the range is:
13.50, 14.50, 15.50, 16.50
And this depends on if you are getting a one meat plate, 2 meat plate, if it's seafood and of course if you have a poly plate which instead of rice and mac salad you might want taro or banana. Don't get scared off with this cost - its actually a decent cost. As a cost comparison think about McDonald's lunch - its about 9+ for one meal. This place actually has specialty food and better quality.

The Menu:
They post weekly every Tuesday what they will be making and on which days on their Facebook. Their biggest selection is on Saturday. Saturday is the only day they serve taro, banana, and guava cake and lots of meat selections. I really recommend to see the menu weekly on their Facebook.

Taste: 😋 Yummy
As far as the food, everything I've had is very tasty. I've had other foods from them but the ones in the pics:
Garlic shrimp, island salmon, mac salad and rice, mochiko chicken, hulihuli chicken, corned beef brisket, sapasui (chop suey) and taro.

The seafood, and chicken was delicious and all well marinated and the amount was great I am picky with mac salad - so it was ok. The rice and taro was good. The corned beef brisket is also excellent and of course I enjoyed the chop suey.

They did have i believe a mango otai drink on Saturday and it was so tasty and delish but this is where I think this is too expensive and they need to drop the price. You can taste the little chunks of fruit, it was great but cost wise I wouldn't, but if money is no object I recommend it too. Ask for that price before you buy. It's expensive.

Little problem:
I come in on Saturdays specifically to get guava cake. In all my Saturdays I've been able to get it once. I did enjoy it when I got it but it's disappointing that they dont really have it available many times. I get it, they are a small shop but I think if people start realizing that they have guava cake they can upsell to that and it will be a big hit. There's nobody else I know who sells guava cake right now - Aloha kitchen hasn't for a while. I think if you preorder a sheet or 1/2 sheet for a party you have a better chance of getting it.

Actual store:
It's not a sit down eatery because there's an actual market in there. It's only take out for now. The store site is small and the cost of the retail items is a bit pricey but again its specialty polynesian - leis and lots of stuff. Worth taking a look at. But just check or ask for the price before you buy, so you don't get shocked when buying.

Anyway I cant come in as much as I'd like to, to support this store so I'm hoping everyone comes in and checks this place out. Try something new. It's great!!

Husband and wife that own the shop are absolutely the nicest people you’ll ever meet! My mom and I will be back there for the amazing food!! With every bite, that was homemade, I was enjoying a little piece of paradise that made my heart happy! There is a sitting area if you want to stay and eat even a shop with snacks known on the islands. The main part of the shop has shirts, shoes, bags, some car decor, necklaces and made to order lei’s.

My first time in the market/restaurant was welcoming. The owners greeted me and made me feel at home. My favorite part was the market, everything I saw was stuff only available in Hawaii. They also had a variety of other goodies. For the prices in the market, it’s not the dollar tree, so don’t expect to get cheap products. The prices are the same on the islands which is very fair considering they have to ship them here. The FOOD was delicious. It was unique compared to other places that serve the same thing. I recommend trying the Polynesian noodles, I loved them. For food prices it’s fair, the same as others.

My recommendation is maybe a sample platter. I think it would help show different food dishes. Other than that I hope this business thrives. I really felt at home.

Not so much a sit-down restaurant as it is like going to your auntie’s house to eat! It’s a bit small, but the food is delicious (garlic chicken is the best I have tasted) the portions are generous, and the owners treat you like family.
The shop has all kinds of neat food, clothes, jewelry, and other things. It may be a bit pricey but that’s because it is all brought in from the islands.
Definitely recommend if you want some real yummy Polynesian food and/or some authentic island snacks or merchandise.

This place is Loaded with Aloha, the folks that run this place are Super Cool, down to earth people. Friendly and Fun. I LOVE The Plate Lunches here, it's not your usual chicken katsu, teriyaki etc. They get stuff like Beef Stew, Hamburger Steak, Shoyu Chicken, the kine stuff you'd come home to, what Mom was making for Dinner. They also got the Polynesian grinds, Tim TaMs, Mochi Crunch, Bongo, Twisties any kine. They even get cans wahoo. Koko Samoa, they got clothing and Musubi's, I forgot about that, guava cake too and otai. Saturdays is Polynesian plates!💪🤙🔥❤‍🔥 If you got the munchies or you need some Aloha in your life, come check this place out.

Everyone here is so welcoming and nice! I came in and felt so nice being in there. The food is great, and they have a wide selection of snacks and items from the islands of the South Pacific! They even have some vintage items that aren’t made in the islands anymore. This place is 10000% worth a look and the owners are some of the friendliest people I’ve met since I moved out here.

AMAZING! This is the closest you will get to Hawaii in Arizona. The owners are beyond welcoming, prepare to feel like family after walking in. The shaved ice is different, nothing close to it. Very unique place with all the feelings of the island. Go Saturday for the BBQ. 5/5!

Super kind and nice husband & wife team. This is a family establishment and they make you feel at home. I ate the hulihuli chicken, charsiu pork, macaroni salad and oka. Everything was delicious and prepared well. I also ate their mango & chocolate cupcakes. The mango cupcake was amazing and unlike anything thing I have had. I also tried the halfmoon pie (pineapple) and that was new to me as well but I was very happy I tried it because it was so soft and mildly sweet in a perfect kinda way.

Overall Aloha Island Market is a place to soak up a comforting family vibe with great food. I am really excited to try the hulihuli pork next time! Thanks Aloha

If you are wanting the feel of the islands without spending 6 hours on a flight then Aloha Island Market is the place to go. Family owned, Aloha Island Market has an assortment of island clothes, snacks, etc. The owners treat everyone like ohana (family). I cannot recommend their food plates highly enough. I have unsuccessfully looked everywhere in AZ for authentic garlic shrimp and did not find it until today at Aloha Island Market. The Shrimp was Fantastic and the Mac Salad maybe the best I have ever tasted. If you are missing the 808, this is the place to go.
