My name is Romeo and I myself own a video game store in Los Angeles, CA called LA Video Games and I must say as a collector and store owner that this video game store (1 Up Games) is a must visit in your Arizona itinerary!!! The owner, Nick, is very welcoming and his positive attitude will make you feel like you have been friends for life. My favorite part of the store is the flat screen TV right behind the register, advertising ads in which he made that promotes buying, selling, & trading. Nick is so friendly that he will also recommend other video game stores just to make sure you enjoy the video game community of Arizona. One cool store. So nostalgic. Very well assembled. The owner is one cool guy. Lifetime skateboarder and gamer. Clicked with the man talking about old cky videos. They have a couple free games the kids can play when they come in. Excellent selection of games for all prior consoles and current as well. He recommended a movie Iron Will. I watched it last night and what a cool dog movie.

Great service! Bought 2 games and a Wii controller. Also, thank you for helping me with spare parts for my Nintendo Wii. I can finally play it again.

Very organized & clean store with reasonable prices and a lot to look at! The staff is also very friendly and informed. Definitely recommend, especially if you like older games. (Would love to know where the Pikachu in the window is from! 🤩)

Mesa's little unknown hidden Treasure!! Neat Place. This is a cool place to support because its not a corporate greed stop. While small still offers a wide variety of games from the classics like Sega to what's out now. DVDs, blu-rays, show seasons, and used game systems among other things here.

Very clean and fun shop! Fun vibe and the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. There is so much fun retro gaming stuff. I went to trade in some old games, and the amount they offered was more than fair. Will definitely be going back!

Their games are in fantastic shape. They have some great consoles. They have great inventory and they also have competitive hours.

Great prices, Great customer service, Great maintenance. Got a broken Dreamcast from the For parts/Fix shelf. Guy in the front was very knowledgeable and was and overall great experience. Would definitely go again!

Updated: I love and look forward to every visit I make to this store. While I enjoy the selection of video games and chill atmosphere, it's the two owners that keep me coming back. It's their genuine passion for the store and the video games, it's the fact that they answer the phone with enthusiasm and courtesy. I've been to the other stores and these guys are in it for the love of the games.

Wonderful, friendly and very helpful staff. It's one of those independent game stores you want to last forever. If you are a collector, I would encourage you to visit the shop because the prices very reasonable and in many cases, cheaper then other stores and online.

I’ve been going here since 1up first opened up down the street from me. Instantly I was hooked, great atmosphere, a warm welcome every time. Both of the guys there are helpful, beyond fair on pricing and super chill.

This is hands down my personal favorite retro game shop in the valley. They seem to offer the best values for your trades and have a good selection of games/consoles. The shop owner is always fun to talk to as well.
