American Discount Foods

The prices at American Discount are great we have a discount foods in Peoria Arizona but this store puts that one to shame. It's going to be worth the trip every other month just to get everything like we did. Spent over $180.00 dollars and filled up my big freezer with meat and dinners. And the service is very good better than most grocery stores in the valley.

Prices seem good at the entrance, but once you get to the aisles, things get crazy.
Prices are outstanding. 25 cent snacks in 2023? So cool.
Workers are pleasant and helpful.

A lot of people talk about carbon footprints, and this place is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint, reduce good waste and with your food bill.

American Discount Foods is a large, clean grocery store that get lots of overstock, some dented boxes, and lots of dairy products and dairy substitutes within date.
ADF has lots of food nearing expiration dates, but they are safe to eat and most taste great.
They do have some things that are past the best buy date, but there are posters with links to documentaries by FDA and various health organizations explaining what is still safe.
The store guarantees all food for 14 days if refrigerated, but 45 days for everything else,
So if for some reason those just expired chips taste nasty, you can return it.
I've never has anything except refrigerated Presidents brie taste off.

The food carried is always rotating with new things and weekly deals.
There are so many health foods, veggies, and even foreign goods.
They even have restaurant quantities available like a mini Costco corner.

I love that they also offer a small amount, so you can buy a 10 to 50 cent snack, and then decide if you want to buy the big Box for, like, three to eight dollars. That's really helpful for people like me whom are trying to expand what they they eat and try new things, and for families with young children.

Some fun things they've had: Kewpie mayonnaise, dungeoness crab chips, sushi chef pickled ginger as an item they carry often, maple onion jam, chestnut honey, blue corn tortilla chips, chocolate coconut chips, dried whole mung beans, Peruvian beans, fried apples, no bake pumpkin pie, Thai chili rondele dip, and every sauce known to man

Great deals I've gotten: 5 pounds of pancake mix or 10lbs of Quaker Oats for $5, Cascadia farms granola cereal for 99c, family sized chips for $1.29, 79c for half-gallon in date Lactose-free milk, 5lbs of ricotta for $3.99, 9 pack of Pocky for $1.29, 79c Strawberry Pocky, $1.99 for 3-pack of large portion Korean instant noodles [Naeng-Myeon]
and all kinds of cool prices on RX bars and meal substitutes. They carry LOTS of vitamins and cleaning products, and some clothing as well.

Absolutely great deals on food here, as well as some other items! Their selection is a bit random as most items are stocked when they are available cheaply in bulk rather than on a regular schedule. A great way to save a ton of money as well as try some interesting products you may not have had before! I also found great deals on a couple small home items as well, so definitely take some time and have a good look around, and stock up on things you like while they're available!

Love this store. I have shared about this store to family and friends. I live on a budget and they always have affordable options and many of the food choices that I typically buy but have paid more for at other stores. Really like when I can find what I'm looking for at American discount foods.

My daughter stumbled onto this gem of a grocery store and shared her excitement with the family on how much money she saved. Most importantly was her amazing experienced with the staff which was overwhelming POSITIVE! I am so glad that I finally was able to shop at American Discount Foods yesterday and I found many item’s that were name brands that were very inexpensive. I know if I would have gone to the big grocery chains I would have paid so much more. Just like my daughter I had a wonderful positive experience with the staff. While waiting at the checkout I had an opportunity to read the back of staff t-shirts and walls. Wow, totally mind blowing! I am so blessed and grateful I had an opportunity to shop here yesterday and I will continue to shop at this awesome grocery discount store! I appreciate American Discount Foods for making it possible for me to stretch my money to provide groceries for my family!

I really love this store. Great variety of items and not the best looking store but great deals every day. The staff is friendly and they’re always willing to help. I’ve been a customer since the Extension & Broadway location. Unfortunately, I moved to Glendale about 10 years ago. Thankfully I do work in downtown Mesa so I’m able to stop by for a quick shop before you close every few months. My only major complaint is that the store opens too late. Wednesdays I’m not at work until mid morning and that would be a great time for me to do some shopping. Either way I still enjoy stopping by every few months and grabbing some great deals. Really enjoy all the great finds!

Always the best prices. The selection is top-notch. The store is well stocked and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I drive from Sun Lakes always worth the trip

Make sure to check the expiration date. So many things were more than half off and the store for what it is was great. None of the freezers I opened gave a weird smell staff was amazing and understanding with my questions.

Good service and decently priced product. It is a liquidation warehouse so they don't always have every you need but they sure have a great selection.

First time shopping here and it's a great store! I love the variety and low prices! I wish there was one closer to the far East Valley!

If anyone looking for a discount they have very good food I've been shopping with them for 2 months now and the prices is really good and the food is really good go check it out and see what you think you will be able to save a lot of money with discount food

Still love going here. It's a treasure trove; I regularly find brand names. Especially things I might not have otherwise purchased at full price. Shopping here keeps my grocery bill manageable in a month. $100 goes further here than other stores these days.

Great place to get discounts, including vegan products. Doesn't specifically cater to vegans, but it's always great to find a place where you can pay less than the upcharge. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's a wide selection of products and often something new to discover and even a prize wheel to spin for savings for your next purchase if you spend over $50. Certain days of the week also have additional savings for veterans or seniors.

I really do love going to this place nearly every month! There's a lot of great deals on different types of things, not just food but appliances and home wares as well. Of course, the selection is always changing so there's always new things. I really like coming for the various snacks and drinks they offer. Their clothing and health section is super varied, and I highly recommend coming here if you have children as they have different things you can buy at a deep discount. Otherwise the store is kept clean, stocked well, and I always have a pleasant experience with the staff and cashiers. Its very fun spinning the wheel at the end of the cashier transaction. Parking is very large and available. If you can make the trek here, its very worth it.

Great prices for name brand products. Recognizing the senior and military population by giving these groups a discount is a thoughtful gesture.

Where has this place been all of my grocery shopping life? I've never seen anything like it. The prices are amazing. The staff is friendly. This is the only place you can find a 50lb bag of carrots for $4. Awesome if you have horses!!! I will be coming here for groceries from now on!

There is a lot of items that are great buys and we go out of our way to check this store every week.

Love the store and prices. Always something new. They have senior day on Monday and veteran days on Thursdays, 10 % off.
