Everybody who works here is always very friendly and helpful. They will even special order items if they aren't available, and you're willing to wait.

I'm happy to shop here because the customer service is outstanding and prefer to support a local business and ensure Amazon, Home Depot, or Lowe's aren't my only options in the future.

Great service and prices. They fixed our screen door very quickly. Very impressive. Definitely will be back to do more business with this hardware store.

They have all the things! The big box home stores are too full of nobody with zero knowledge, who should be working at Target. The folks here know what you need.

Super impressed with the customer service, selection, and prices! I stopped by here at 6:55 and noticed that they were closed for the night (hours til 6:30pm.) The owner's son saw me in the parking lot, invited me in and offered to help me find what I needed. He found exactly what I was looking for and it was less than I was expecting to pay. So happy for this new small business in the neighborhood.

Called and got all my questions answered about their carpet cleaner. Came in and the service continued to be kind and informative while I checked it out. Very fair pricing! Plus, it did a great job! Thank you!

Needed an O ring for a filter basket for my pool. Went to Leslie's, Home Depot, Lowes and Ace but none of them had it. McKay True Value did! Staff super nice and helpful and price lower than expected.

Very helpful and informative, they take the time to help and explain how to remedy what you need to fix instead of pushing items to buy. I walked in today and they explained to me a faster resolution and it worked. I did not have to buy anything. I will be back again for sure.

Great store to buy hardware and practically any household hardware and more. Gary is always nice and so is the smart young man Griffin. Always so polite with professionalism. BTW, for all of the cry babies posting negative reviews that are criticizing the store about employees not wearing mask, people that wear masks will get covid and pass covid to others regardless. If a customer that has a good intention to walk in this store and go on with their business, then do so. Otherwise don't criticize the store and it's staff about some nonsense brainwashing mask ordeal.

This store is great. Awesome selection of high quality tools and materials at reasonable prices. Everyone at the store is very nice and really wants to help you have a great experience while you're there. They are also knowledgeable about the tools and materials you may need to complete jobs so they can give great advice. I like going to stores where they know your name and always treat you like a valued customer and that is McKay's offers to the community. I'll be doing all of my tool and hardware shopping here!

The customer service here is why I come here. Is it a bit more expensive than a big box chain? Maybe, but the helpfulness of the staff outweighs that for me. It doesn’t matter if I pop in for Traeger pellets, irrigation fixes for my drip system, or miscellaneous screws/bolts. Never had a bad experience here.

These days, good service seems hard to come by but today as soon as I walked in the store he was there ready to help me and I had no clue what I needed. I am so grateful for good customer service! Thank you SCOTT for your time and attention to my machine screw dilemma! 🙏🏻💕🌻

Very impressed with this store. I have been in several times for various items that I would have normally purchased at Lowes or Home Depot. They also have an impressive Traeger section. The prices are competitive and they show me where everything is located and are very helpful. Recently, I had some window screens replaced and they did a fantastic job. The owner even came out to my house with 5 minutes notice and measured my windows to ensure they fit. I highly recommend this store.

This is what every hardware store should aspire to be. Helpful and kind staff. I have plenty of hobbies that require obscure hardware. Have never walked away from McKay's without a part. Better value than ace and infinitely more convenient than waiting on parts to arrive from online retailers.

Such a great little home improvement store! They have a wide selection of any random tool or part you may need, a very helpful and knowledgeable staff, and excellent service! Prices are a little higher on certain items compared to big box competitors, but it's worth it to me to support local and get quick and honest service.

I received excellent service and information about an issue with my St. Augustin lawn. Even though they were out of stock with the chemical I needed, they tools told me where I could purchase what I needed.

Gary and his staff are very knowledgable and friendly. Good problem solvers too. Especially if you're not sure just exactly what part you need or what it's called.

These guys are really great when it comes to finding what you want. They try very hard to please. As always, True Value Hardware has a large variety of unusual Hardware or other parts that are difficult to find at other places. I am glad that they have moved to this location because I use them VERY often.

I've been a Home Depot fan for a lot of years. I'm sure that I will someday have to go back to HD, but now, I just head over to my local True Value, usually park 5 steps from the front door, walk in and am usually greeted with a genuine "...can I help you?" And then they, from the owner to the young men that work there, really do assist you. They have far more bolts, screws, fastener and the like than HD has. This True value is really indispensable and I'm sure glad it is close to my house.

Gary was so helpful, what should’ve taken hours took only 5 minutes with Gary’s help! Nobody else had the bearings I was looking for. This hardware store is a blessing to have in the community!

Will only spend my money here, unless I absolutely need to buy at Lowe’s/Home Depot.. why? Personal. The world needs more personal, less “cheaper”, less “faster”, less fear. The mask comments are the stupidest things I’ve read. Waaaaa, oh wait, baaaaaaa
