My husband bought his suit and we had the groomsmen rent their suits from here for our wedding. They were really helpful when we were deciding color, fit, and style for the suits. The staff really know what they are doing and sized everyone well. None of the guys complained of their clothing being too tight, etc. the day of our wedding and had no trouble dancing later that night. We had a great experience and were glad to support a local store!

The staff is incredibly nice and super helpful. The store has a small town feel with a surprising selection. I've had nothing but great experiences with Bauman's.

I went with their wedding suit special for myself and 7 groomsmen. All of my guys were between 6'0" and 6'3" and 170-215lbs.
I wore their charcoal suit, and the groomsmen wore the mid-grey.
The suits themselves are really good quality and fit for the price.

We upgraded to the wrinkle-free, cotton slim-fit shirts and they looked great. Definitely worth it for easier care.

We battled some supply chain issues for a while (as did most stores at the time). Although they have a large selection, we weren't able to lock down a tie choice while we were in the store. We trusted Olivia, the store owner, to make decision based on our colors, and she ended up picking out a tie that was perfect.

Overall the prices are great. I wasn't able to find any of their products anywhere else for less.

Don't be afraid to ask them to take the waist in a little more than they suggest during fitting if you are looking for a slim, modern fit.

We created and shared a Google sheets document with Olivia. We were able to easily share and keep track of everyone's sizing and updates.

I rented a suit through bauman & co, they are the only ones to ever measure me correctly and completely. Most places just guess the pant length based on your top half, saved me a ton of time and headache. Highly recommend this place for weddings or any other special event for high quality dress. They have an amazing section of cologne and some other fits as well, like outdoorsman/ lifestyle patch hats.

Josh was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They also had an amazing selection and were accommodating with ordering other items not available in store. Highly recommend coming here and supporting this business!!!

Great selection of all sizes and genuine one on one customer care. I wanted a pair of wide shoes, which they had, and I ended up with shoes and so much more. If stores like these aren't supported, they will go away. Don't ignore Bauman!

Everything about this store is great. We come here for my husband’s regular work clothes, suits for special occasions and everyday clothing. You can’t beat the customer service. And the prices are equivalent or competitive to those with the same type of clothing. You won’t regret coming here.

Went there to buy a specific sock brand (Fox River). They had the brand but not in the style and fit I wanted. The gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable and brought out the vendor catalog to help me select from and order. When the socks arrived, he gave me a fair discount and helped me browse their other items. There are not many small clothing retailers left and I would recommend Bauman & Co. as the best I have been to in the Corridor area.

The ladies who took over Baumans have kept alive the quality service and selection that brought me back for years. I made the mistake of trying to shop at a couple stores in Cedar Rapids then went to Baumans and found exactly what I needed.

I originally went in to Bauman's on 4th of July on a whim while shopping with my mom. I'm getting married in October, and in July had just began to look at suit options. After speaking with Olivia, I immediately knew that we would be using them for all of the men in our wedding party. The service has been amazing and Olivia and the rest of the staff are always super helpful in person and over the phone. Highly recommend!

I'm glad every time I walk in the door. There's genuine interest in helping me choose something for me or my husband. Thus far the salesmen have been 100% right on gifts and sizing for both my sons and my husband. The interior of this store is like no other - dark hardwood, shelves, drawers, dressing rooms. It's a library of soft goods. Worth a touristic visit, even if you don't need anything. It reminds me of the Merz Apothocary or The Green Mill in Chicago - a favorite room which has served its clientele with grace right through many decades.

Fantastic selection and amazing service. Staff really knows their stuff. Went in to buy dress pants, not really knowing what size or style I would need..walked out 20 minutes later with 2 pairs of paints that fit perfectly! Comparable prices to larger chain stores but service is 10x better.

Definitely one of the best clothing businesses in southeast Iowa. They have a great selection of sizes and styles, and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful! It is definitely worth the drive to Mt. Vernon from anywhere in southeast Iowa next time you are looking for a new outfit!

I stopped here to purchase a belt. The staff are responsive questions and helpful in getting what I need. In and out in less than five minutes. No over selling. Better than driving to Cedar Rapids.

This is where I go for suits and dress shoes! The selection is great and the service is incomparable. Prices are very reasonable! For me it is worth the drive from Rochester, MN.

Beautiful small town clothing store the prices were surprisingly reasonable and the staff is top notch if you're ever in Mount Vernon give them a look
