Gary's Foods

Oh my goodness I love this store and was so thrilled of their selections. I was purchasing items for our return flight home and some additional produce for my college kid. When walking in my 3 younger kiddos spotted these adorable shopping carts that kept them entertained. Of course you parents know I had to make sure there was something in each cart which actually kept me organized. The checkout process was so lovely and the cashier even took time to tell me a little history of the store and the founder. I didn’t have to bag my own groceries which I’m use to back home. They provided that service and the young gentleman who bagged them kindly escorted me out to my car. That was so helpful so I could make sure these kiddos got in safely. I love this store and even the kind locals who said hello to the kids and I.

Always a great community store, but tonight they showed how great they are, even though a small gesture. I showed up right a 9pm, and instead of telling me they were closed and locking the doors allowed me to grab the one item I needed quick. Great store with outstanding employees!

I really like this place. Very clean, nice employees & great sales every week. I love the local milk, cheese curds & ice cream they stock & that they bag & carry your groceries to your car! I shop there probably 3 times a week since we have moved to town & enjoy it.
I respect small businesses especially ones that hire special need members in our community! Bravo Gary’s!!! Keep up the excellent work in this lovely little town

Great atmosphere with such good vibes that even the customers want to help. Plus the complimentary coffee is amazing. They also have reasonably priced soda machines. I love a cold soda.

Wish I lived closer to this gem. We always stop and get some snacks when visiting town. Good selection and reasonable prices.

I love Gary's Foods! Can I tell you how much I love Gary's Foods? OK, let me tell you how much I love Gary's Foods. They are a smaller store that is packed with goodness. They have amazing produce and an excellent bakery. The donuts are phenomenal when fresh and great when they are a day old ( which you can get cheap). You need a 10lb tube of hamburger? They got you covered. Craft beers? They got you. Variety of coffees and teas? Yep, they got that too. Super friendly staff? They got that down!
I guess I'll just leave you with this. Come try Gary's Foods, you won't regret it

Has the best meat department around. I have not found a better place to buy meat from. The cleanliness of the meat dept says alot as well. Their prices may not beat Walmarts(sometimes they do) but the quality and freshness does. The friendliness is great and how the company runs its operations is made for success.

I love Gary's! Everyone who works there is always very nice. They have a great selection of groceries also organic foods. All the people who work there are always extremely friendly and helpful.

We stopped to gather Dinner picnic items. The ladies at the deli were incredibly helpful and my dad at their way to make sure we were satisfied . The young man at the check out was very pleasant.

This place has AMAZING FRIED CHICKEN sold fresh next to the deli, surprised none of the pictures here show it!

Wonderful local grocery store. Conveniently located in Mount Vernon. Full service. Has almost anything you would need, including many specialty items. They even load your groceries in your car!!

Very nice little grocery store. Always seem to come here when I am in Mt. Vernon. Very friendly staff, and even though it is a smaller store they still have a great selection.

The girl at the checkout this morning was so helpful she downloaded the app on my phone for me and I got my free dozen of eggs which I didn't know I was going to be able to get I will look at the app a lot more often than I usually do in the paper thank you so much I love coming into this store everyone is so friendly and helpful

Great selection, prices and quality. Love that I can get in and out quicker than any of the bigger places and still has everything i need.

I love this grocery store! Employees are really nice and they take your groceries to the car for you. You don't get this level of service anymore.

As an ex employee Im biased but they have (nearly) everything you can want and constantly get new selections and promotions. I recommend the Champs Chicken there, its good.
