Barbara was so awesome! First of all, great customer experience, but secondly, she took the time to explain MTG to me. My husband is the main player of the game but I’ve been wanting to learn, at first it seems so intimidating but she really helped me grasp the play!

I can’t wait to have these at home date nights with the hubby and build my own decks!!

The store is locally owned and operated. The owner is there daily. The store specializes in trading cards like Pokemon and Magic the Gathering. The store also sells things for D&D, Warhammer 40K, other miniature tabletop games and assorted comic books. Tournaments are held throughout the week for the different card games. The store has a Facebook page that posts regularly what they are doing. Would highly recommend to anybody who is into what the store sells.

Awesome selection of board games with probably 100+ games in stock. I'm a BGG nerd and still found some games I haven't seen before. I picked up the roll and write pinball game I had been wanting for a while. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Very pleasant community here. Definitely a good spot to play Warhammer (which is why I go) but they seem to have a good mtg scene as well, I've heard those guys laughing and having the time of their life.

Owner is pleasant and friendly to deal with, he's tolerated both my smart and dumb questions.

Update: it's been over a year and I still like this place.

While the store is sort if half game store and comics, the staff make sure both needs are filled. They csn subscribe to any comic series or board gaming material you need.

The store also has the treats you need to keep up with those long dungeon crawls. Also if you require your miniatures painted inquire with the staff and they will hook you up.

If you live in New Braunfels, it is a good source of comic books and the hours are more geared towards late afternoon to midnight. Very friendly and both owners will talk shop and offer insight.

Fantastic place to hangout and play games. Billy and Barbra are some of the nicest people and have so much knowledge about every game under the sun. Highly recommend checking them out.

I wish I could give them 10 stars. Went in today trying to find something for my young boy, and these folks are so friendly, patient and helpful they've got a customer for life. Excellent selection, and they were awesome in helping find the right item for what I was after. I'm so glad I decided to go local instead of online, and I'll be going back for both myself and my son on a regular basis. Looking forward to game nights and to expand on/find new hobbies. So, SO glad Blitzkrieg is my neighborhood game shop. Oh, and their shop dog is a sweetheart and a bonus to this gem of a store. 10/10, would highly recommend.

Wonderful game store that has only improved over time. This store is legitimately a case study in how to do a small, independent business correctly. At first it was kind of cramped, but they expanded outwards when they got the opportunity. They adapt constantly to the wants and needs of their customers, provide excellent customer service, and stand by their values of creating a fun, family-friendly space that caters to all kinds of crowds. Their staff is friendly, informed, and patient. Their owner is deeply involved and savvy. Their inventory is clean and kept up to date. I could go on about what they have done to improve themselves over the years, and to be honest, they started out in an amazing place. So they have only worked to get better.

I had a fantastic experience at Blitzkrieg Games. We were visiting the area from out of town, and I decided to stop in to check out their magic singles. Their selection was fantastic, and they had almost every card I was looking for (and quite a few I didn't know I needed until I saw them!). The store was very clean and organized, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back the next time we are in the area.

Great customer service and atmosphere. Plenty of games with a healthy player base. I go there to play Magic: the Gathering, but they play roleplaying games and board games there as well. All around a good store and a fun place to hang out.

Good selection of board games. The store might seem small at first but offers a huge space in a back for table top gaming. Fair price on everything and felt very welcomed.

Great place to get together to play MTG and Commander MTG. And, a good sized library to choose standard board games. Very friendly German Shepard. :)

Havent visited the store in some time..however, when we visited often to build MTG decks, Billy and the rest of his associates were always super cool, and helpful! His shop is a hot spot to be at on a Friday night for MTG! I have seen some people leave lesser reviews because of the low comic selection..give him feedback! Start a comic subscription at his store! They will tend to your needs and always keep the customer in mind :) Very happy to see how successful his shop is doing right now! We love it there and will be back soon!

Went here for a playing card game event. The staff (owners?) were very kind and accommodating. They ran a solid event with a generous prize structure. The gamers were fun and diverse. It is a small store, but they pack a lot fun and good vibes into the space, as well as a good variety of merchandise.

Awesome place to play card games, board games, and buy comics, board games, trading cards, and accessories. The store owner is really cool and goes out of his way to ensure everyone has a good time including first time players and beginners. A great place to hang out with a really nice community, I highly recommend checking this place out, although be sure to check out the store hours and event times to make sure there will be people to hang out with when you get here.

This place has such a great atmosphere. Since day one the people have welcomed me in with smiles and respect. Plenty of room to play for a small shop. Billy an ex Abercrombie store model and Barbra, a former winner of Texas best smile, have done a wonderful job in making this place have the latest and greatest of Magic, Yugio, and Pokemon. Stop by and support this local business that works hard for their community. Love this place.

My number one spot to go to for cards and other game items. Very laid back Vive that I like, never feel like I'm being rushed or pushed into buying anything which is a big plus for me.
There is a super sweet puppy there sometimes and that makes it worth the trip even if they don't have the card I need that day.(which they can order for you in the store.)10/10
