Bonzai Steak and Sushi Restaurant

Visited San Antonio and stopped here for family dinner. I've been to several of this style restaurant across the country. We were very pleased with the show! The chef was very friendly with the kids and of course the adults. The standard jokes, heart burn, train whistle, volcano and FIRE, lots of FIRE!

The food was very good, soup salad and stir fry. We even had some sushi to share. Great night with family!

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant. The rainbow roll and the tower are two of our favorites but pretty much everything we’ve had on the menu is amazing!

It was a nice place to eat. The seating feels a bit compacted but overall would go back again!

Visited this spot before the dinner rush hit and I was beyond pleased. Sat at the bar and the bartender was kind and assertive to my needs. The soup was interesting with some sort of cheese in it...I didn't mind it. Salad came with the right amount of ginger sauce which I was really happy about, typically you don't get enough at these kinds of restaurants I feel. The sushi was tasty and a great serving size. I also got a lunch portion of hibachi. Delicious. All of it. Certainly will visit again.

I stop here often for lunch, good sushi at very decent prices. I usually get Jennea as my server, she's very friendly, fast & efficient. She makes sure you have everything you need without being that annoying waitress that checks on you too much or talks too much. Only complaint I have is that the floor was very sticky like someone right before me had spilled something and it wasn't properly mopped up. Not reason enough for me to stay away. Like I said it's a good quick & cheap lunch option. With exceptional customer service.

THE BEST HIBACHI IN NB! Been going here for years and it’s always great! I always get the steak and shrimp and it’s to DIE for. The portions are huge, especially the dinner portions, and there’s so much sushi to choose from! The hibachi experience is also super fun with family! I highly recommend this place for dine in, hibachi, and takeout!

Went there for lunch on a Saturday in New Braunfels. This place is quitely tucked away in a shopping center, but you don't want to miss it!

I ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer, which came with vegetables. I also ordered the hibachi rice as a side. All for $15 with the lunch special!!!

It was like eating a full meal and I took some to go. The food was delicious and the tempura sauce was excellent!

The atmosphere was low key, which made for a pleasant dining experience. There are authentic hibachi grills available to have your food prepared in front of you for an exciting culinary adventure.

Would def go back if I was in the area. Highly recommend!!!

Had a fantastic birthday dinner with my daughter! The whole family was able to get together and be entertained while the chefs cooked her dinner right there in front of us. What a show! Would highly recommend going back for any occasion.

The food was great, I had shrimp with steak and fried rice. It was great and was made to order. I don't remember our cook's name but he was Hispanic and he said he had been cooking for over 30 years, great cook!

I ate here this evening. The server/waiter was the best thing about this place. He had a great personality and excellent customer service. The hostess needs more coaching on customer service.
The food was good. Pretty good sushi. It came out fast.
My table was so wobbly I was worried my drink would spill. The booth wasn't cleaned all the way before we sat down. There was bits of food on the booth chair. On both sides. I hated the lighting.
Overall, 5 stars because the food and service was good.

Unexpectedly good meal. The chef was entertaining and well prepared. Sadly, I started eating before I took a picture of the food. The staff was very attentive and prompt.

I adore coming here!!! The staff is amazing, and the Sushi Chefs treat everybody like family!! The food is always incredible, so fresh...and the flavor combinations are so amazing!!!

I've been going here for over a decade. It's one of my favorite Japanese restaurants and never disappoints. With the large selection of sushi and hibachi options to choose from, I'm sure you will find something. Staff is always friendly, and the chefs are my favorite for their entertainment. Don't skip on this little gem in New Bruanfels.

Great food! Portion sizes were perfect and so yummy. Drinks are also really good and prices phenomenal. Very speedy services and the staff were so kind. I will definitely come back in the future. Thank you!

My servers name was Hendry according to my receipt. He was extremely attentive and did a wonderful job. He made my experience wonderful and I hope to see him again next time I come back.

Absolutely amazing sushi! The New Braunfels Roll is out of this world! The Philadelphia Roll does not disappoint either. Will be returning to try the hibachi.

Stopped in today & found out Friday's Lunch Special was Steak & Shrimp with Fried Rice & Mixed Vegetables it was OUTSTANDING but then we had to try the Sushi SO we got the Seguin Roll it was AWESOME then we moved on to the Philadelphia Roll, Salmon Roll and Sushi Roll they were SPECTACULAR WERE COMING BACK NEXT TIME IN TOWN

I had some the sushi there which was octopus, squid, and Tobiko and the Hibachi were nice enough to give me a little bit of fried rice, since we were celebrating my nephew's 16th birthday over there.

Words cannot express the high quality, great service, well-priced variety of menu items, and unsurpassed overall atmosphere of this place! Bonzai made my birthday weekend a total blast! We sat at the hibachi grill, but I, myself, got the crab and lobster roll. I'm so happy with my choice. The best part is I got bang for my buck! Just under $20, and you can see how big my roll was! Plus it came with 6 pieces of fried lobster in a lobster tail! Please visit this place and you'll see what I'm talking about!

Awesome food and service here whether we’re on a date or with a group! Hibachi is the best in town and the sushi is always phenomenal! Highly recommend the Texas Roll if you love a little spice!
