Great place to shop. But lines can be long because only two or three cashiers for checkout. Can be a long line and wait for the self checkout. Need to scan receipt to exit self checkout area.

Is a really big safe way really nice personal and very hard workers . I think is one of the best safeway i been to and is close to the bart if you guus need it or gym.

As I was working on a doordash order, and was confused as in where to get the order from. This super nice lady named Dora that was cleaning seen that I was confused and went out of her way to ask me if I needed some help. She ended helping me out by telling me where to go and going to the back to look for my orders. She honestly deserves a raise since it’s hard to find good people that go out of their way to help someone else.

On afternoon of July 11th 2023, due to wanted to catch up train(Bart), I had a hurry shopping in this store. After opening Safeway App to see the coupons, I lost my phone. I double checked the place where I have been and asked related people, the answers all were "No". You know, nowadays nobody will return a phone that picked it up by himself. I was almost despairing.
Ms. Heysia Escobar showed up. she asked her co-workers was there anyone looking for phone? Quickly, she showed the phone to me, let me use my fingerprint to open it and tell me the reason. I'm very touched, want to see the finder, but he/she already left. I want to reward some money to thanks, but Heysia kindly refused.

I from my heart to appreciate the unknown-name employee. he/she is so honest and has a very good work ethic. It's very precious! Also I appreciate and admire Heysia Escobar. She received information and reacted at first time, resolved the problem calmly. (I was tired, confused, anger, anxious and emotional at that time) She knows computer very well, corrected the mistakes of my transaction expertly....

Obviously, both guys have been well trained and practiced. What they do reflects the quality of the team at the store.

Typical Safeway. Well stocked, clean, and well lite. This one has a Starbucks, like most of them.

Nice place and good service. I like ginger beer and I got discount 1$ off for 4 bottles.

Safeway is a great, clean store to shop. 99% of the time they have everything I need. The Checkers are courteous and friendly.

Always an efficient shopping experience at this Safeway. Lots of motels and other stores around also: Ross, Walgreens, T-Mobile etc. Excellent area to do some "outlet mall" type shopping in a less congested area.

I go out of my neighborhood in San Pablo to shop at this Safeway in Richmond. It is huge, clean, safe and has all my favorite organic, Mexican food items.

They had things that were healthy with variety not the same things. Every other store who's main focus is to stop shop lifting and licking everything up.The care for the newer better healthy yet good tasting foods. Safeways in SF does not compare to this one.period

Store is clean and well stocked. The isles are well lit and wide.
The negative issues include not enough cashiers and courtesy clerks during peak hours. A customer can be waiting for a long time in line, and when a new line opens up, they take the last customer from the next line instead of asking the ones who were waiting to swing around.
Those who go to work pull through on holiday weekends and provide amazing coverage even when they are short handed. Speaks volumes.
Didn't see any managers on the floor helping out when the store was packed. This is an area where the corporate office should be aware of.

Clean and regularly stocked. I don't always shop here but it's nice. I also come here to use the dmv kiosk. The one bad thing I would say is there are people hanging out in the front. Such as signing things, people ask for money, not always but it happens and it gets annoying. Other than that I would recommend going here.
