Garfield's Beverage

Great experience yesterday at Garfields in DF when Koval (Chicago-based, female owned!) stopped by to share distillery insights and a fab bourbon tasting.

Fun to see many locals as well as the phenomenal staff. This has quickly become my local 'go-to' for pretty much any beverage.

Stopped in the other day and it was such a pleasure shopping somewhere with friendly employees who genuinely wanted to help you. (like the old days...) I bought a couple bottles and they even ordered something for me from another store that they didn't have in stock which was terrific! This will be my go-to place from now on!

In terms of the alcohol selection, this location doesn't have the square footage of a Binny's and therefore isn't going to have the same variety.

HOWEVER...

1) Guessing they'll still have most everything you'd want;
2) The prices looked great;
3) The employees are knowledgeable and helpful; and
4) They have a full bar where you can sit and enjoy drinks for SUPER CHEAP. As an example, we had a glass of Fortaleza tequila for $6. The bottles sell for ~$50. At any other restaurant nearby, that's probably a $12-15 drink. Drink prices are similar for all of the options, and there are a ton of them. They want you to be able to sample higher-end bottles for reasonable prices.

Without a true local bar option in Deerfield, #4 might end up turning this place into quite the hangout spot.
