Wells Street Popcorn

I'm a popcorn connoisseur from Chicago. I got the Chicago mix, cheese and caramel and was blown away by the fresh taste of the popcorn itself, and the amazing consistency of the caramel. Not hard and gummy, but crisp and buttery almost like the flavor of a traditional praline. I've just found a new favorite popcorn joint!

I purchased a groupon and was just hoping for some good popcorn to give out as gifts for the holidays. What I found was a delicious place that I ended up visiting a second time before the holidays were over, for popcorn for my family. The store was clean and smelled amazing. There was a nice selection and you could tell they made it fresh for the customers. The people who received my gifts, raved so much that I headed back a second time and I was so glad I did. I Like cheese popcorn, but I LOVE their cheese popcorn. The Chicago-mix was a crowd pleaser, I am a customer for life for sure. Everyone working there was friendly and helped answer my questions. If you enjoy popcorn, I would add them on the list to try. Also for a downtown location, it was easy to find and park - so no excuses for not checking them out!

Great local shop. Perfect for gifts and events. They made up small bags of popcorn for our client event and everyone loved them.

The gentleman who helped us was very patient for us newbies. We ended up getting the Chicago mix for five bucks.... Which is caramel and cheesy popcorn, and a hot chocolate which was $2 and very wonderful... And small but for two bucks it was plenty large. The Chicago mix is mind-blowingly good. Hot chocolate was also very good. We probably should have got the tub for a couple bucks more for a better cost per weight ratio... But seven bucks for dessert and cocoa is fantastic. Give them a shot with one of their smaller bags and you'll see you wish you got a bigger bag too!

Casually stopped in after dinner in Downer’s Grove and was so impressed. The guy working the front was super friendly and explained the different flavors for my young daughter. The quality is incredible. Definitely glad we stumbled in this place! Will come back to buy some tins for Christmas!

We were given two bags at Hotel Versey. I did not expect it to taste so good. I thought we lost one bag. Just found it a week later and it is still delicious!!! I will purchasing some when I go back to Chicago.

A hidden gem in downtown Downers Grove. Best carmel corn ever!!!! Buttery and traveled well in a car ride back to AZ for 5 days. Not sticky at all. Best treat for everyone and lots of other selections. Will buy everytime we return to IL.

Just went here for the first time to get my aunt some cheese popcorn for her birthday and it couldn’t have been better. The guy who was there was super nice and helpful and really made my aunts day. The popcorn was great. GO HERE!

Great little popcorn shop. Needed a gift to send relatives visiting from out of town home with & did not want to drive downtown Chicago & hassle with parking. So glad I found this gem! Will definitely be returning.

Chicago Mix is excellent. Shrink-Sealed fresh packed containers keep popcorn fresh for several weeks.

We love the cheddar popcorn enough to make a special 20 minute drive to pick it up! Staff is always friendly and prompt.

They ran out of Bacon Cheddar Popcorn. How dare you? Very disappointing but still the best popcorn in Chicagoland.
