DiSalvo's Deli & Italian Store

This is one of Dayton's best kept secrets. The eggplant parmesan was the best I have had in Dayton. The salmon wasn't fishy at all. It was flaky and the sauce was exactly what I hoped it would be.

The chocolate cake tastes like what I imagined Bruce's cake in the movie Matilda tastes like. It was moist and rich and the frosting was creamy and perfect. I could have eaten a gallon of the German chocolate cake frosting.

Alana was so helpful!!! I love it when employees actually eat the food. She gave us awesome recommendations and explained how the deli worked and the dessert scheduling. They are lucky to have such a great asset to their company. Thank you again!!!

By far and away the best Italian deli and food store in the Miami Valley. The ownership here actually work harder than the employees. There's nothing better than walking into a place that is ran this efficiently. My wife and I have been here quite a few times, and we have never once had an issue. We love their Italian sandwich, tiramisu, and just about every other thing we've ever tried in this establishment. The owners are five star entrepreneurs, human beings, and now friends!

DeSalvo and I go back to my college days. This place remembers your name. They know what you like. And I could go on and on about all the different food they can give you there, but I’ll save the space and just recommend that you check it out sometime. You won’t be disappointed. Some of my favorites: Anything Ronnie happens to be cooking in the smoker that day, any other pasta salads, the fresh made oatmeal raisin cookies, cannolis.

Stopped by the deli this afternoon for the first time. Getting out of the car i was treated to the smell of smoking ribs before I hit the front door. Inside I found a classic deli setup and a solid and robust menu.

I decided to order two of the ribs, a half meatball sub, and the tortellini salad. The ribs were good and the tortellini salad was better. However, the meatball sub was the star of the show. This is the best Italian I've had outside the North end of Boston.

Excellent Mom & Pop Deli. The best Corned Beef Reuben sandwich around! You can actually get a bowl of homemade soup there. The best, best, best, homemade chocolate cake anywhere! Definitely on par with Martha Stewart. Honestly, it doesn't get much better than this. A real treasure in the Greater Dayton Area. It's a lovely place! Very warm and welcoming staff.

I ordered antipasto and assorted mini dessert trays for a wedding shower and they were the star of the show!! My guests and I were blown away by the fresh deliciousness of the food. Such a great place - thank you!

A terrific deli with a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, pastas, and delicious desserts all made fresh! It was exciting to see the meats being prepped just on the other side of the counter. Good people there create a great working environment leading to excellent service.
I had the corned beef reuben, chocolate chip cookie, and tiramisu all of which never stood a chance. :)

Wow as singles we went to DiSalvos Deli and hung out played cards euchre and spent many many days and nights hanging with Ron Mindy and staff we all became family. For anyone who is originally from New Jersey, this Deli is the only place in the Dayton area that I've been able to find that sells Taylor Ham, or "pork roll" as some call it!

Delicious!!! Home style/family dining, with something for everyone. I had a Turkey sandwich with potato salad. I recommend it, and will be getting it again. If you ever find yourself near E. Stroop, in Kettering, OH stop on in. Tell them Doug sent you. They don't know me so you may get a weird look...lol

Love! First time there at the Deli. Love the vibe of community there. My half Italian sub on soft bread was outstanding and filling. The Cannoli was FRESH! I also had the stuffed mini peppers, very good with some spice but a little tough to cut with plastic silverware.

Simply the best Italian Deli you will ever find anywhere. This is the gold standard. Favorites are the Chicken Parm, subs on the Awesome sourdough bread, and the world's greatest oatmeal raisin cookies.

Great food friendly service. This is an exceptional restaurant. The Italian food is wonderful. I really like Mamma DiSalvo's. I had not been there for several years and my wife and I just r e associated with the restaurant in the last month or so. We've been back 3 X, basically once a week. We've had multiple menu items and each of them has been very good. I particularly like the fried ravioli appetizer. I've also had the veal, the gnocchi, and the pasta sampler. I vouch for all of them. I also like the atmosphere. The music background tends to be Sinatra. Perfect for a traditional Italian restaurant.

My wife and I went to Dayton to take back my bike helmet and while we were here we looked up for lunch and found the greatest Italian deli and restaurant. Mama’s DiSalvo’s Deli. The people in there were so happy and the owner came out and talked to everyone and we felt the love. the food was beyond amazing

Amazing place. Went here for lunch and didn't get disappointed. Hand made subs, freshly made meats and tons of specialties at a really fair price. Staff was super friendly! A perfect lunch spot! I'll definitely come again!
