I went in today because I had just bought a pair of shoes somewhere else and they just didn’t fit right, so I was going to see about getting a different type of shoe. Instead of selling me on a pair of shoes I didn’t need, Tyrone helped me with a free foam insert, and taught me a different way to lace my shoes that would help them fit better. It’s a good store with a good selection, but the fact that they were willing to help me out even if it meant I didn’t spend money says so much about them. They’ve made a customer out of me for life with that. Definitely check the store out!

My mom brought me to Stouts 60 years ago for my first pair of shoes. It is the only shoe store I have shopped at since then. Great selection, highly skilled employees, who give great service. They know how to fit you properly into the right shoe for you. I have very narrow feet, so finding a shoe that fits is tough. They carry high quality footwear, so the shoes I buy there last. This is a great store, and a great tradition. Shop at Stout's, you will not be disappointed.

We started at the Brownsburg location looking for dress shoes for my son going to prom. He found a shoe he liked but they didn't have his size (12) so they said they would check the downtown location. They did have it downtown so off we went.

We were nicely greeted and were told someone would be right with us. We indicated a call from Brownsburg was made and they immediately knew what we were there for. Unfortunately, the shoe was not a good fit for him (narrow feet).

For the next hour, the store manager - Stephanie - made herself my son's personal shoe specialist. She was amazing. She was insightful and extremely knowledgeable. She gave suggestions. Most of all, she was patient. My son is quiet and can do the typical teenage - "uh, I don't know" answer to any question and she managed him beautifully! ❤

I stopped in to buy a pair of work shoes for my service industry position. I spend sometimes 12+ hours a day on my feet. I had the pleasure of meeting Kara on this visit. She was not only extremely knowledgeable about any and everything I had in mind to ask plus all the extra information she enlightened me with, but she was also very kind, patient, and I felt went above and beyond any expectations I had prior to visiting. It was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in the past decade. I have been wearing my new shoes (Hokas) for a couple weeks now and I am extremely satisfied with them. I have bragged about this experience to many family and friends since visiting. I will surely be back in the future. Kara won me over as a customer for as long as I reside in the Midwest.

Great to go back to Stouts to purchase shoes. My Dad used to take me there many years ago. When I was in town this past Christmas I stopped in to find that the service is still fantastic and the shoe selection is still the best.

The customer service at this place is amazing. They're fast, attentive, and listen to exactly what your needs are. I came here for the first time several weeks ago to buy boots, then again today for another pair of boots and running shoes. The manager, Aaron, recognized me immediately and remembered what kind of shoes I'd been looking for last time and was able to grab the same style for me today. Additionally, they've got a good selection of shoes in the 5-6 range and in wides, neither of which is common at other stores.

Love this place! The best staff who actually provides service such as helping with sizes. They know the shoes. They carry good shoes that are with the price.

I came in on a mission to get some quality walking shoes for my active feet. Kevin & Aaron were great. They were very knowledgeable & friendly. The end of summer sale was fantastic! Happy to support a local business. I will be back!

They work their best to find you the best fitting shoe for YOU and for YOUR needs. I'm a frugal guy, but with customer service like this, I'm prepared to pay top dollar. This place is a local business that focuses on your experience. They have shoes for big and tall people, so you never have to struggle to find your size anymore if you shop here! If you come here, you simply MUST ask for Robert, the assistant manager, for the store. While you're here, your satisfaction is his top priority, and you walk out feeling happy and in a shoe that fits you. I'm not exaggerating, I'm coming here from now on because they have my hard to find sizes that give me the right support for my feet, even in spite of the cost. You can't beat the quality of shoes that they sell and the superior customer service that they provide.

Tyrone helped us get my daughters feet scanned and set up with a pair of insoles. They helped with her heel pain right away. Great store with a huge variety of shoes. Cool throw back in time too.

My family has been shopping here for years. The employees here are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would, and do, recommend this store to anyone who is looking to get shoes, especially those with large feet like myself. This is the only store that has ever had multiple different brands and designs in my size and above. I'm the bird out front is adorable also.

Bought two new pairs of shoes after getting my last pair here a year ago and wearing them out. The employees here have been attentive and knowledgeable, and my visits have been straightforward and quick. And for a person with larger feet, I've not felt as limited in my selection as I feel in most shoe stores.
It's a lovely old store in "the big city" without feeling like a big city store. I will be returning when I need another pair of shoes.

Excellent service and even better pricing IMO. My girl went in there to buy Hokas and they were half the price she expected and I got an unexpected awesome deal on some Chacos that I know wouldn’t have been beat anywhere else. They had all sorts of amazing brands at amazing pricing with even better customer service! Highly recommend!

Fantastic selection of shoes, and extremely helpful staff. I was helped by Tyrone, and when we found the shoes I liked he suggested items like socks and AirFeet to make them better. Never had a better experience shoe shopping.
