This was my second time ordering wine online, I got burnt with a different vendor, it took over a month to get the package and countless emails, but these guys brought my confidence back about online ordering.

Great selection with some hidden gems. All or a lot of their inventory is online and you won't see everything they have if you only look on the shelves. They have a great selection of Sauternes and they had a 1983 bottle of vintage Port from a less well-known producer (but still).

I'm not from the area, and I was searching for the perfect place to deliver a bottle of wine to my former colleague. I'm pretty particular about wine. I was searching for a great Brunello di Montalcino, and I was impressed by their selection.

The cherry on top is the awesome staff. I worked with Daniel and Phil to send this gift. I felt like I was in great hands. They double checked everything with me and wrapped the gift beautifully (much better than what I could have done myself).

We just had a great online shopping experience with this company. I requested a clarification by email and got a prompt & pragmatic response. I placed the order and the correct bottles were delivered the same day with the correct message for the recipient. It sounds simple enough but many times things are not that smooth, starting with getting a an email reply.

Excellent wine shop with deep collection of wines from great producers. Prices are also very reasonable and sales prices are great. Check out the Burgundies — several good values and more than one vintage available for several wines. Strong collection of Italian wines as well, especially Piedmont and Tuscany.

An institution for DC wine. Home grown and local merchant all the way. And the vast selection and knowledge of many of their staff is out of this world. This is the kind of place where you can go and ask for a recommendation for a wine for almost anything and from anywhere in the world.

Oh and the prices are very very reasonable too! They give the big box retailers like Total wine a good run for the money. And with added personalized service in a local neighborhood atmosphere to beat. Easy parking on the street within 2 blocks or so
