Finch & Fern Book Co.

Very cute independent bookstore that hosts author signings. We traveled from a ways away to attend an event here and their setup is great. The staff were delightful and friendly. We would definitely stop back by when in the area again and wouldn’t hesitate to travel to attend another signing here.

I am so glad to have this book store as an addition to our community. The owner is so nice and is always offering to hold or order things for me, and she is fun to talk to. There is a book club starting up soon and a release party for a very popular book in January that I am excited to attend. Listen, I get it. Buying books from Amazon is tempting. They ship fast and they're cheap, but I would rather support a local bookshop and community building and help keep these places open. Stop by if you haven't yet!!

First of all, the lounge looks gorgeous. I walked in and was awestruck. I love that shade of green; it's very relaxing. The owner, Katie, is very friendly and sounded incredibly knowledgeable about books. She said she's putting her order in for new books in soon so all she has in right now are used, but the markdown on those (and the store credit she offers for trade-ins) are a good enough reason to come back.

The display of plants and antique books was a very nice touch, as was the wall for book recommendations (I added a couple of my own). Those things, the children's area where she'll be doing story times, the low prices on many of the used books that are basically new, and the free book cart, are going to keep me and my children coming back for years.

I'm so happy we finally have a small bookstore nearby instead of having to travel all the way to Ann Arbor or Perrysburg!

I first visited Finch & Fern for a special event evening. I had planned ahead to purchase some used books along with the guest author's offerings. I walked out the door with a great TBR stack! The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. The owner is responsive on social media inquiries and the ability to pre-shop the website is helpful. I can't wait to visit again.

What a lovely shop. You should stop in. I bought a bunch of lightly used history books and they also had books for kids.

Interesting little place that has potential. Overpaid for a book there, which may have more to do with the book's publisher rather than the retailer. It looks like they do have some bargains on used paperbacks if you get lucky enough to find what you want. Nice area set aside for kids to read and be kids. This store is located in a "boutique" type of area in Sylvania where almost everything is overpriced already. Hopefully they resist the pressure to keep up with their neighbors, price wise.
