The Book Burrow

This is my all-time favorite book store. All of the people are so friendly, and the environment there is amazing. It feels so safe and cozy, and I have never once felt judged there. Customer service is so amazing, and I have gotten to nerd out over books multiple times there. It is so amazing to have a queer owned safe space with books. The only reason this is 5 stars is because I can't do 10.

I've only been here twice, but I'm already in love! I feel like my thoughts can best be communicated through sub-reviews, so let's a-go!

Vibe/atmosphere: 5/5 cute and cozy!
Organization: 5/5 shelves are well labeled, and all of their space is maximized
Employees/customer service: 6/5 everyone I've met so far is super sweet and knowledgeable
Event management: 3/5 the Valentine's Gay event last night was fun, but the way the activities were handled left some to be desired. I've got suggestions that don't necessarily need to be in the review, if they're wanted.

Overall, The Book Burrow is a great place that I'm excited to have discovered!

What a find! My daughter and I spent an hour and a half just perusing the shelves and all the extras. The owner was super friendly and welcoming (as were the kitty greeters). I also love their Facebook page. We will definitely be back!

I love, love, love this local book store. They have a great range of available books, fun book items, and a cozy shop. The people who run the store absolutely make it the gem it is, though. I love visiting and chatting with them. I always leave with a perfect new book rec, often by a local author. They are super queer and neurodivergent friendly, too!

A fun little spot with a small but frequently rotating selection of new and used books. The new books they stock are highly curated and they make an effort to advertise books with LGBTQIA+ representation as well as books written by diverse authors. They sell other things that could make great gifts for book lovers and seem to have an array of community events (I haven’t participated in any yet but they seem fun and very welcoming).

Local, knowledgeable booksellers at the Book Burrow can always point me toward something I'll enjoy, sometimes a new release and sometimes used--they carry a nice selection of both. The atmosphere is also very welcoming and cozy, and their events are wonderful for building a community of bookish folks here in the 78660.

Such a lovely store with comfortable, cozy vibes and a great selection of books. The owners are so nice and knowledgeable, and they helped recommend new books to me when I didn't know what to get (and I've loved the recommendations). I will definitely be shopping here again soon. I can't wait to try out their "blind date" books and go home with a few mystery novels to read.

The Book Burrow has a fantastic staff and unique collection of books. Not only is it a book store that features local authors, LGBTQIA+ content, and especially sci-fi and fantasy, it’s also a gathering place for D&D, reading, and more. The people who work at this woman- and queer-owned place are kind, responsive, and knowledgeable. And the shop cats are first rate!

This was such a a cute bookstore! I loved the vibe and the people. Embrace the weird!

Feb 2024 update: I visited during their voter registration event (a book store that cares about the community? Love it) and one of the employees was giving recommendations to another customer. They took their time talking about books the customer may enjoy and gave great recommendations. You could tell they really enjoyed the books she was recommending.

What a delightful book store! I wish I lived closer, but I've had several books shipped to me (both from their current stock and through their online bookstore) and really appreciate the genuine, kind customer service. They're a great store to follow on Facebook as well, I love all the hijinks the employees and store cat/plants get up to year-round!

Super cute place, super helpful people working there, all sorts of events, good selection of books, and lovely used (ahem: pre-loved) book selection as well.

This is everything you want in a bookshop, plus things you didn't even know you wanted.

Love this place! First encountered them at Pflugerville Pride I think. That's always a great sign! They now have their very own place in Pf. They have a good selection of new & used books. They're friendly. They have a cat. What's not to love?!

Such a cute bookstore! The staff are really helpful and friendly, it’s got a great vibe, a snack bar, they have shop cats! and even if they don’t have what you want in-store they’ve got an online catalog

Amazing people with amazing books! They always know the right suggestions and if they don't have it on hand, ordering online from them is really easy. Always happy to support small business, and I recommend them to everyone I can!

I adore the many gifts that come from the expansions of this store as it grows and evolves. Game room, books galore🥰, stickers, jewelry, coffee tea station, and best is interaction with owners. Every new location opens my perspective to the local shops and bonus this location has artist market booths outside every 1st Saturday 10am-3pm.

I fell in love the first time I walked into this little book shop. I don't know if I can dream up a better little slice of heaven than, The Book Borrow. It truly is one of a kind and a safe space for all orientations of life and identity.

This store is quickly becoming the heart of Pflugerville. I spend a lot of time and money there. I'm welcomed by the staff and hang out there on a regular basis. I'm happy this place exists and will continue to be a patron for the foreseeable future.

We were visiting Austin from NB so I had to come check out this little bookstore, and I am so happy we did! With so many books to choose from I decided to go with a blind date with a book! I can’t wait to read it and I am hoping I can come back and visit soon!
