My son (11) is just starting out in his new hobby, so we were really starting at square one when we came to Hobby Town. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They were familiar with my son's interests and welcomed him to the hobby community, showed him what he'd need to get started, instructed him on some different techniques, and gave us some tips on how to save money without sacrificing quality and aesthetics. They had a great selection, and anything they didn't have they could tell us when they would get it or had suggestions about where else we could find it. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely visit again!

This is the other favorite place of mine in Dallas. They have a great inventory of models, R.C. paints supplies etc I've bought quiet abit of supplies and a few kits from them in the past and I've never been disappointed. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The store is well maintained, well lit good parking etc. I don't Iive in Dallas anymore. So I don't get to go there any more except for the past week since I was in town on a business trip. It's a great place to visit. So I recommend visiting them.

Very helpful and "punny" staff. I feel like my kids and I are being watched closely, but I can understand and respect the need to do so to prevent shoplifting. Great place and great guys working here.

On a lark I stopped in and I was able to walk out with a new RC that was sold out and back ordered almost everywhere else. The staff was very accommodating and hands off, which I do appreciate. They answered all my questions and made some sensible suggestions. If I’m ever in town in the future I will definitely make a point of stopping in.

Well, I recommend this place to anyone. Because they have so much cool stuff. Some of the staff needs some better training or they need to have people that specialize in certain aspects of different hobbies. When I tried to ask questions to one of the staff members. He Got a little smug and condescending with me about an item even though the packaging said otherwise.

Great place that supports your hobby or help start a new one. I went in with my 8yr old son for some airplanes and 1/10 scale drift car parts.

came in here a week ago to get some batteries and as i was standing in line, an older man behind me started choking on a sandwich. An employee named Michael jumped over the counter and saved that old mans life with one hell of a Heimlich maneuver

They have an overwhelming stock RC cars. From small to large, slow to fast.

I dont remember if it was Mike or Ike but he was great for us knowledge wise, and helpful to my son and I deciding on the right RC plane!

My daughter and son have had the best time playing with a TRaXX Teton remote control car. Today we had a piece break from hard impact (she is only 5yrs old) and came here for replacement part. Gene was incredible and even took the time to give me a tutorial on repair and even made the complete repair for me. As a result, I rewarded him with the purchase of another Traxxas Teton for my other young child. Gene made the experience incredible. Incredible guy. Love this place. You will too.

this place has pretty much everything you need for rc cars. the staff was super freindly and helpful aswell. i leave really far away so i called them up to make sure they had what i need and the guy on the phone took the time make sure he had exactly what i needed

Michael is the bomb! He was so helpful and knows a lot about the planes they sale which are AWESOMEE!!!!! Check this place out there's so much neat stuff here!

This place is great. I was given an older nitro powered rc car that needed a little bit of work. Took it to hobby town and and showed it to the rep, they showed me piece by piece what I needed, and had everything in stock! Sales guys are extremely knowledgeable and friendly considering how much of a noob i was. Made it out the door for under $100, and with a running car! Will be going back this weekend for some new wheels and a longer range control. I recommend this place to anyone with rc car, plane, or boat needs. They also have some interesting models, and collectors items.

Great little RC hobby store. Located in central north Austin and easily accessible from Mopac. They have lots of RCs in stock and the staff is always friendly.

Stopped in to buy some parts to fix my drone and was greeted and helped by Michael. He was a great help.

I came in for advice on fixing cheap plastic sunglasses.
I was guided to my favorite new product Bondic. It’s a liquid plastic with a UV curing light. It’s affordable, works in very fine applications and you can clean it up before curing.
This product is a game changer and I really appreciate the thoughtful advice.
