If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I love coming here to paint, play D&D, and just spend time with the awesome people who run the shop!

J is absolutely amazing, and can help you find anything you need, be it an odd paint color for a miniature, an interesting board game, or giant maps for D&D. He's got a great personality, and is super helpful. There has rarely been a question I have asked that he hasn't had an answer to.

Ben is super sweet and willing to help you with anything you need help finding in the store.

If I could get away with coming here every day I would! They have a great selection of merchandise including Warhammer, MTG, D&D, and more. There are even paint classes for miniatures! The atmosphere is comfortable and the regulars are super helpful. I plan to continue coming, and can't wait for my next visit! 100/100 stars from me!

Lovely local board games attire with very friendly staff and tons of classes and events.
My 9 year old loves going there for DND games. I’m excited to explore my games there.

I've bought gifts (miniatures) here for my gamer children. Really good selection for a niche retail establishment. Prices are competitive for online. They have space for gamers to come in and play and hobbyists to paint their game place. Patient and helpful staff.

This was my first visit to this store, and it definitely won't be my last. The manager, Jay, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He made an exciting hobby even more exciting. The store had plenty of room and tables for gaming. Additionally, there was a decent selection of models, paints, accessories. I can't say enough positive things about this store, I will recommend it to my friends, and I will absolutely be back in the future!

This is an awesome store that is always a pleasure to go into. Jay the manager is very laid back and knowledgeable about most everything hobby related and is willing to help all comers, new and old. They have a great selection of hobbies supplies and a great game room for all kinds of games and lots of room to spread out. I come and hobby all the time.

My daughter (14) LOVES coming here. Perfect location, it’s right in the middle of downtown. Within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, clothing shops and more! While she’s at her game night, I’ll usually go have a snack at 602 or Old Town & wait for her to get out, then WALK over and snag her.

I was blown away by how big the shop was and the massive selection. The atmosphere is very inviting and fun. The owner and staff are always a pleasure to chat with. Love the rewards program and super cool event days they put on. Wheel chair and stroller friendly entrance in the back.

I absolutely love this shop. Everyone there is very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. Plenty of room for games, whether it be Magic, Warhammer, DND, or all of the above, and Friday Night Commander is incredibly fun. The player base is very diverse with both new players and veterans of all games coming in. All in all a great place to shop and hang out and I definitely recommend giving this place a visit or three.

This place is amazing. Everyone is super awesome, friendly, informative, helpful, and awesome. It's always a joy just to walk in and talk to staff. Can't wait to be able to join a game night and get to know these incredible people more

Going to visit this location is always fun. They have a not only friendly staff but if you ask them a on topic question about most of there games they prove to be either super knowledgeable or resourceful if not both (especially on warhammer) Friday's are magic the gathering commander night and it's awesome so many diverse players and is always a joy to play with be it new and learning or a total veteran. A ton of products to pick from for table top games from models to the countless paints to pick from. My experience has been exemplary and would totally go check it out even if It is just to see what cool things are being built or painted. You never know you may even try yourself.

Excellent game store! Perfect for warhammer or if needing mini supplies. Wonderful selection of Magic the Gathering cards. Jay was super cool and told us about commander Friday nights- no participation cost, lots of prize support and I know the word pizza was mentioned as well! While it’s a bit of a haul for me I definitely want to make it out for future events!

Huge selection, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. All kinds of games including classic board games, Warhammer 40k, Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, and more.

Large gaming room in the back for events, and anyone is welcome to come in at any time and paint. Their staff are expert miniature painters and offer great advice if desired.

They are also happy to place special orders for you for rare games or products, and the staff can even professionally paint and/or have custom models 3D printed for you in resin. We got our entire D&D party resin printed after creating the 3D models in HeroForge and sending the .STL files to the Bastrop Games and Hobbies employee. It only took a few days and the models are so high quality (and affordable). And now I get to go back to the shop and paint them! :)

Great store with a great atmosphere. Staff and clients alike are very welcoming and knowledgeable. I started going in there for Dnd things and eventually expanded into warhammer 40K and the entire time I’ve been helped with any questions I had it products I need. Jay the manager is super welcoming and does a great job keeping the store up to date and in stock.

Since getting into warhammer back in January or February I’ve spent more and more time in shop and you can find myself along with many of the other regulars in there multiple times in a week and sometimes all day Saturday

Bastrop Games and Hobbies has a brilliant selection of hobby material and Warhammer minis. Jay has never failed to be incredibly accomodating about shipping when I'm not in the area.

Also, ask about Nights at the Game Table memberships, it'll put a smile on your face and more wins on your belt

Really great game store! You can tell that the staff is very passionate and willing to help! My boyfriend and I stopped in and purchased a mini and some paints and the guy who helped us offered to give us some painting lessons! Super friendly and very knowledgeable!

In reqards to MTG-
Good store with friendly staff. Very helpful with any questions and always down for a game (when they are free). Only improvements I could ask for would be to introduce single card sales for popular formats, and hopefully more event participants.

I love this place, it's a better place to play than anywhere in Austin. The nights At The Game Table membership is worth every penny. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Fantasic FLGS, with very friendly and fun-loving staff. They have everything you need for hobbying and then some. Parking is a struggle sometimes, but thats honestly just an issue with Bastrop.

I had a real fun time playing dungeons and dragons with their Adventurers League group! Everyone there was super friendly and helped me understand how to play! I also enjoyed playing Magic with the other players there.

The staff here is excellent, and the atmosphere is friendly.
