When I first walked in the store I asked what URT stands for, and friendly staff told me it is the sound that sea lion makes when it barks! URT URT! So funny! Upon hearing that I was hooked. DEFINITELY A "MUST SEE" IN CORONADO! It's more than the best looking store in town, it's an experience. I had a blast! Ocean-inspired local brand URT URT has it all: clever and funny t-shirt designs, outerwear, drink wear, accessories, patches, watches, hats, and more.. Also try amazing locally roasted Heave Ho Coffee. Mmmm so good! Great gifts for yourself or anyone else! LOVE IT

So excited for URT to finally have a brick & mortar spot in town…right where they belong, back where it all began!! I gotta say, we have been stopping by once a week since they opened. The store looks fantastic, and stoked to see they are fully stocked with all things URT and Heave Ho Coffee Co. Congrats Ian&Pat and team! What a feat.

The one of a kind shop for anyone who shares a love for the ocean. Whether you’re into surfing, fishing, sailing, or simply dipping your toes in the sea, the URT brand is for you. URT has so many relatable graphics to chose from, all original and designed in house. Their familiar logo of a barking sea lion (“urturt” is the barking sound) can be spotted on cars, hats and tshirts rocked all around San Diego, specifically in Coronado. This leaves many people wondering what and who the brand is, since up until now, they’ve only ever existed online and doing pop-up shops in the area.

You can tell how much work went into their brand new flagship storefront. The walls are covered in custom wood, they have a ton of merch to include exclusive collaborations with other epic brands, and their staff are as cool as they come. It’s fitting that URT opened their first shop on Coronado as the island is where the owner and founder was born and raised.

I have been a long time wearer and support of URTURT and always proud to sport their brand. Having a local American brand that loves our great country is an easy choice for my daily swag. My wife and boys also love the style and we always get positive comments on our hats and shirts. We are always looking forward to the new drops and love Ian’s support for our military.

Most best bitchin little shop in Coronado…San Diego area for that matter. Rad staff and even better swag. Definitely will be dropping in every time I visit the area. My “Commies Don’t Surf” hat is a head turner and conversation starter. Whomever is their creative director has a good sense of humor and knows what being a waterman is all about. Six stars ⭐ if they let me.

URT has been my favorite local Coronado brand for nearly a decade and I am so excited they finally have a spot in town. It has been years in the making for this homegrown business and I know they have worked extremely hard to get this place open.

My first experience in the store I felt very welcomed by the friendly staff. I could feel their enthusiasm about the brand and that they wanted to share it with others. The aesthetics of the store were beautiful and I learned that family build and designed the whole thing! The apparel was also arranged nicely and I was able to easily shop for what I was looking for. I was also excited to see that the brand has expanded the women's collection which was extremely cute!

URT has also partnered with Heave Ho Coffee which is another family and locally owned business. I have been drinking this coffee for more than a year now and am thankful to have the easy convenience of purchasing the coffee at the URT shop in town.

You have to go check out this store if you are a local or visiting Coronado for the first time. It is a must!

From hand crafted carpentry, to curated decor; the one word that comes to mind is authenticity. The staff is polite, warming, and all around stoked!

The URT brick and mortar location is a must stop for locals living on the island and travelers passing through. It’s fantastic to see a home ground brand put their stake in the ground and solidify their spot as a true staple of this wonderful community. Bravo!

I’m a US Navy Vet living in Australia. I’ve ordered many products from URT! URT! and am always happy with the uniqueness and quality of their products. It’s one of my favourite brands and I get compliments on their t-shirts and hats all of the time. It’s a very cool company and I also appreciate their respect for the military and waterman lifestyle alike. I can’t say enough good things about URT! Keep up the great work. 👍

It’s great to have Urt officially back in Coronado!! The grand opening was amazing…great vibes and fantastic merchandise! The Heave Ho coffee was delicious and the black URT flags to the first fifty customers was so characteristic of the fun that is always part of any URT event! I love URT! I got my first sweatshirt when they first started years ago and still wear it. I am so excited there’s a shop now! It’s a perfect place to stop by for gifts for your loved ones. Stoked there’s a kids line now, my 5 year old loves the mommy’s lil sea monster T-shirt we got him opening week. Congrats URT!

Cant tell whats better, the team that runs URT or the incredible gear and apparel. Such an amazing spot to get a feel for the amphibious lifestyle with a patriotic theme. This shop has so much warmth and character that you just want to hang out and shop more. This isn’t your typical Coronado shop that seems hoity-toity and stuck up. The owners did a wonderful job with the details and great flow of the store. What an upgrade and transformation from the previous business. The merchandise was organized, displayed nicely, and the sales person was friendly and welcoming. I’m proud of this locally grown business in finally getting a store front in its home town. The URT flagship store in the heart of Coronado is an awesome one stop shop for all things amphibious! This store does not disappoint and features all the URT essentials from hats, tees, patches and unique accessories to exclusive in-store only collabs from local SD brands such as Resco instruments and Half Face Blades.
