Fantastic locally-owned hardware / housewares store. The staff is really knowledgeable and helpful. Great place to get anything from bathroom hardware to paint, and the pet supplies / specialty food selection is great! Best place in Davis to get gardening supplies, too -- from soil to starters, and they have a great selection of supplies for home growers. Absolutely recommend Davis Ace, I've been shopping there for my hardware and garden supplies for nearly 20 years now.

Best hardware, home and garden store in town! Davis Ace Hardware is the place in Davis to find anything related to home improvement, housewares, gardening supplies and so much more. All the staff here is always very friendly and helpful. This location has two buildings with the outdoor garden and plant area in the middle. The larger building is a more traditional hardware and paint store with the other building having more of the outdoor and patio products. Support your local ACE!

The best home improvement store in Davis. It’s not huge, but has all the items that you might need for home repairs, and saves a lot of time - no need to drive all the way to Woodland or West Sacramento! Can’t complain!

One of the all-around best hardware stores I've been to. The customer service is excellent their teamwork is outstanding and the selection is plentiful.

First things first, I Love this Ace! Other Ace’s are great as well but the experience and selection here is next level. Whether You’re a weekend warrior, or a general contractor, or maybe You’re just in the middle of a project, this is the place. Friendly and Helpful Staff. Management is very Nice and easy going as well as helpful. If they don’t have something, they’ll order it or help You find it at another location. They have a rock and lumber yard as well with knowledgeable staff. Their prices are great and I never feel like they were trying to up-sell items like the Bigger Hardwares stores tend to do. Not going to mention their names of course (Home Depot, Lowe’s. Haha). They have great staff and selection. Cat Toys, Food and Cat Litter, Baby Chicks, BBQ’s, Paint, Tools of all sorts with great price tags. Housewares selection is always updated and well placed. I could go on and on. If You haven’t checked it out yet, do Yourself a favor and go in and look around. If You have kids they also have some great toys and different items for the Kiddos. Thank You Downtown Davis Ace! Lots of tool options during fall move in. We had our choice of screwdrivers and alan keys which were in short supply around town.

Great for projects around the house, also carries kitchen wares. Helpful staff. Good for garden projects too.

Davis Ace is like Mayberry amazing place. Customer service hands down the best. In any Ace, I've ever been to great people in there, small town love.

Ace has, hands down, the best and most friendly and knowledgeable staff of any hardware store I've ever been to. They don't have the huge variety like a big-box store would, but you can usually find what you need. I highly recommend you try here first.

Great selection of plants for those with a green thumb. Also have lots of things for pets. One block away is also a rock yard with all sorts of aggregate and ground cover. They also refill propane at the rock yard.

Ample parking on street or in their own and city parking lots.

Love this place. I come here for their plant/tree/shrub collection. It's not huge but they always have good stuff and plants I don't find anywhere else.

The people here are kind and friendly and patient and help you figure out your project and get you the best things you need for it they have a pretty good selection of things and have a great garden center.

Nice general store. Has almost everything one would look for in such store. Staff is friendly, place is clean and well organized. Prices are on the high side, though. Overall, a local staple in the area worth supporting.

The staff take on your issue as their own and are as dedicated to finding a solution, even more so than you. Micah and John are phenomenal and if there isn’t a fix available in the store they are right there with you trying to think of other solutions. 11/10
