I purchased one of their kits in a retail store and the venting system was faulty on the fermenter causing half made beer to spill everywhere. But, this company still earned 5 stars, because as soon as I reached out to them with my issue they offered full upgraded product replacement and it shipped same day.
They stand by their products and take care of their customers. Well done.

Look, if you can follow simple directions and boil a pot of water without injuring yourself, you can totally make your own beer at home. Mr. Beer is a fun and easy gateway into home brewing. You can buy a kit with almost EVERYTHING you need from brew to bottle (you still need your own pot, spoons, measuring cups, etc), or you can choose kits with no bottles and/or can of magic beer goo. OK, it’s really called Hopped Malted Extract, or HME, but magic beer goo makes me laugh. I went crazy and got TWO of those Little Brown Kegs (LBKs) so now I can have two batches going at the same time. I’ve made the St. Patrick’s Stout, the Aztec, the Bavarian Weissbier, and (my absolute favorite so far) the Oktoberfest Lager with no modifications. They were all really decent. I’ve got the Canadian Blonde with an extra Pale LME SoftPack and another St. Patrick’s with an extra Robust LME SoftPack in my LBKs right now. Why did I choose those particular combos? No reason at all! I just want to see what will happen when I start mixing things up. Well, that’s not entirely true – I did read about what each of those packs do and made my decision from there. I plan on bottling the St. Pat’s with a tincture of coffee, vanilla, and Irish whiskey to give it a bit of an Irish cream aftertaste. I don’t know if it’ll work, but to me it’s worth trying. Whatever the outcome, I'll post about it on the Mr. Beer forum and probably get some decent feedback from other brewers. That’s the beauty of home brewing. With all the great refills, recipe kits, and separate ingredients, you can branch out and start coming up with your own flavor profiles. Also, a lot of people who got into more hard-core brewing from scratch started with Mr. Beer kits. Just check any of the online brewing forums. Really, go look - I’ll wait. (hmm…what’cha got in your fridge?) See what I mean? You may have noticed that a lot of those home brewers STILL use their LBKs for small experimental batches and other things so it’s not a bad investment. Mr. Beer customer support is awesome as well. I e-mailed them with a question and within 15 minutes "Ms. Beer" got back to me with a solution. If you’ve ever had the urge to try home brewing, just do it. You could use a new hobby right about now. Cheers!

I have only been once, but in an environment where many noobs feel intimidated by everything around them, the people there to help were very kind and made me feel welcome

Hours on Google say the store is open, when I went had to ring a bell and someone eventually answered and rudely told me they were closed because of COVID. Being closed because of COVID is fine, maybe update the hours and be more courteous to someone who was trying to give you money. Won't be shopping their in the future.

Poor customer service. They do not honor promotions advertised in brand new items.
