Absolutely phenomenal museum! This place is massive! So many air vehicles! I could easily have spent at least 2 days here. Placards are very informative and give some history on the aircraft! Good mix of outdoor and indoor exhibits! The amount of aircraft outside was astounding and I easily spent 3 hours alone wandering around the planes on display outdoors. Bathrooms were easy to find and reasonably spaced around the facility. Even if this place was busy it would still be enjoyable due to its size! I was able to see everything I wanted to see in 5-6 hours but if you want to see everything I would definitely recommend doing the 2 day pass. Highly recommend!

Everything about this museum is 10/10. Beware, if you are planning to visit, then plan to be here longer than expected! There is so much more than meets the eye, and you might just find yourself in Snoopy's happy place...wildly imagining the sounds and sites of the Red Baron flying around freely and mastering the sky. My 3-year-old grandson loved, loved, loved it, and was completely enthralled the entire day! We are so glad we spent the day at this museum. We visited previously during the summer months and loved it but returned in the cooler months to really enjoy the outside components more.

My wife and I had a great time at the museum, so much to take in. The vets that give of their time to answer questions of guests is fantastic. We ran into one vet that had an amazing sense of humor and we spent a lot of time with him. The fixed wing and rotary collection of aircraft is impressive. They have so much to look at and get right up to and touch. I highly recommend you visit the Pima Air & Space Museum. Best time to go in my opinion is between late October to end of February. Bring a jacket as it does get windy and cool outside when you’re on the tarmac/apron.

Awesome outing that never gets old. Staff is extremely friendly and they are dog friendly too! Lots to see inside and outside. Even if the day was rainy, we were able to take shelter in the hangars in between rain showers.
The place seemed pretty busy but it never gets crowded.
Highly recommend for visitors of Tucson as well as locals!

This is a great Air and Space Museum. It is HUGE. There are 5 huge hangars filled with planes and items related to flight. There is a lot of historical information. There are painted portraits of famous people, as well as historical photographs. There are several hundred planes outdoors as well. We spent only 3 hours there, but you could actually spend days there. There is a gift shop too. We enjoyed our visit.

Amazing museum. I spent almost 5 hours touring and I didn't see everything. I would recommend the Tram tour also, very worth the $8. There are planes from the military, private, and international planes. The snack bar has many options. Interesting interactive exhibits. I took lots of pictures.

Worth every penny! We went to look at all the planes (over 300) outside and inside. The scale of these planes and being able to see it up close was amazing to see!

I recommend you stay for 3-4 hours, there are just so many planes to see and explore.

Went here on a whim from a friend's suggestion, and I was floored. This place is huge! If you are not a history buff, you might be after a visit here. From the Wright Brothers to the 707, and everything in between. Great place to bring kids and even pets. You can walk the hangars and grounds or take a guided tour with a little history behind some of the aircraft. It was worth a trip, and definitely worth admission.

This was such a pleasant experience. The museum staff was really friendly and helpful. Each exhibit had a lot of care put into it. We came here for my husband's birthday and had a great time. We weren't expecting the 390th museum inside the grounds but that was great as well! We also ate at the flight grill, the food was fresh and we were surprised that we weren't ripped off price-wise since its the only place to eat and theres no outside food allowed. There was one gentleman running the entire cash register and cafeteria by himself, he was so sweet even though he was very busy. Honestly it was a great experience. We are planning to return when they finish the transportation vehicle portion of the museum.

Decently kid friendly. Stroller friendly. So much to see! Definitely come for a day, we came around 3 pm and it was no where near enough time to see everything. Tickets were priced decent! Gift shop was a little expensive but that’s to be expected. If we are ever in Arizona again we will definitely be returning!

Fascinating! I definitely recommend checking it out. Make sure you're wearing comfortable walking shoes. I also recommend going when it's semi cool out and not the dead of summer. Every plane has a story, and you get to walk right up next to just about EVERYTHING!

Highly recommend a visit to this very interesting museum which has aircraft from World War II, commercial aircraft, Air Force and Navy and helicopters. Very educational to see them close up. A World War II vet that is 100 years old was sitting in the hanger where they had the B 17 displayed, telling us his story. He was shot down in World War II and put in the German POW camp for two years. Amazing story!

We went here on a weekend afternoon. It’s easy to get to. There’s plenty of parking available. We both found this museum really interesting. It has a lot of airplanes and space craft on display. It literally covers almost everything from the first flight to the space shuttle and satellites. There’s unique airplanes, like the smallest airplane to the largest. There’s military airplanes covering planes used in World War II to Afghanistan. There’s planes from several European countries as well as the United States. They have 2 of the planes used by United States Presidents…Air Force One (including the one that was used by JFK). There are planes on display in a large indoor building as well as many more outside. They offer a guided tour of the outside planes. This is done via a motorized cart towing the seating trailers. I highly recommend taking the tour… I doubt that you can get the same information that they tell you on the tour. There’s water for sale, which you can have with you in the museum but sodas etc are not allowed. This museum is truly covers the history of flight. Highly recommend.

One word: WOW!
Friday morning, was not busy at all. Multiple buildings, static displays well laid out with great signage. Unfortunately it was storming so I didn't spend any time on the grounds. Be sure to also stop in to the 390th museum also on property and see the B17. I took my time and only got out of the main building after 2 hours. If you love airplanes, I would say plan all day, it's easy to spend 4-5 hours just in the buildings.

The gift shop had a lot of tempting items, I struggled to control myself ;)

I had an amazing visit and this has become my new favorite air museum, can't wait to return.

This is an amazing museum, there is so much variety in the aircraft on display, really great. I have a preference for fairly modern fighter jets and large helicopters and included some photos of my favorites. There is so much to see, it feels a bit overwhelming, but in a good way! I enjoyed the tour of the outside areas via guided group tour, but I still walked around myself a bit to see some closely. I was lucky to hear a personal account from a WWII veteran which was really memorable and neat, he seemed to have his speech very well practiced. The replica plane he was sitting by was also really cool.

Amazing museum ,lovely staff very friendly. Absolutely massive so allow plenty of time if u decide to walk not have tour. We walked much better experience. Live air base near so may get chance to see fighters etc take off like we did.

Plenty to see toilets and drink vending machines dotted around.

It's a really huge place with hundreds of aircrafts on display in the outside and also in hangars. There's was a presidential airplane, the world's smallest aircraft, called the Bumble bee, the NASA's Sofia etc. There is an outside playground where my 3 y old could play, and also an inside playroom for children with many air and space inspired games to play. Awesome place!

Had a great time at the Pima Air & Space Museum, there were tons of exhibits to explore, we bought a 2 day pass which the second day has no expectation date so when we are in the Tucson area again ( hopefully soon ) we can go back and see what we missed.

A primo Air and Space Museum - not government and not associated with nearby Davis-Monthan or the "Boneyard". About 400 aircraft , civil and military . Mostly US but some foreign acft. The 390th Bomb Group has a memorial building on the grounds that houses a beautifully restored, B-17 from the air war over Europe. Tram tour with narration gives a fast tour of the outdoor exhibits but only time to highlight a percentage of the planes. More time on foot it needed and you can walk miles on the grounds without realizing. Mecca for any aviation enthusiast or any Navy or Air Force or Marine vet. Army too- plenty of rotary winged acft. A primo air museum.
