This store is a runners dream! They have everything you could want as a runner, along with all the major shoe brands to choose from. We walked out of here today with a pair of custom insoles. The service was great during the customization process. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience today. I was not an easy customer as well going through many different shoes trying to find a shoe that would help with my Achilles tendinitis while still having some visual appeal 😅. Michael made the experience for us, super friendly and helping with everything while also helping 5 other customers at the same time. He had the best attitude and energy. Thanks again Michael, you’re the best!!!

The customer service here is fantastic! Ian answered all of my questions, and was very helpful in choosing the perfect shoes for me. The Fit Finder is an awesome feature to the whole experience. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who helped me through that process.

This Road Runner location was Awesome! Plenty of options, friendly employees (and fellow customers), competitive rewards program and discounts (including military!), and the knowledge the employees have is impressive (to include using a foot scanner to help find the best options)! Eric helped me out and boy did he earn his pay that day. I had lots of questions and was looking for something really specific, and we found the perfect shoe for me. And he seemed genuinely happy to help me out! Guaranteed future business from me.

12/10 experience! Ethan helped me out and these are the first “treat yourself” shoes I’ve given myself & he did an excellent job in making sure I found the right shoe that was comfy & fit my day to day routine. I’ve been wearing them for about 2 weeks now & I have no complaints! Thanks Ethan!! :D

I was a bit skeptical about getting shoes here. I usually only get other little things like glasses from this location. There was a check in process that was great and as a VIP I got seen very quickly. I was inquisitive about Ian helping me and his skill in what I needed as a runner, But he actually introduced me to a new brand I’ve never tried, Altra. I was pretty happy with his service. I know he was so busy trying to help everyone and his manners to clients were great, for example, before touching me he asked if it was ok. He was trying to make sure he gave everyone what they needed. Then at checkout he was able to significantly reduce the price of the items I bought with all the discounts and my VIP status (absolutely worth it)! Highly recommend this store! They were so busy but customer service from all their employees was great! I’ll likely make this my new home base running store!

Incredible service with excellent buying options. Custom fit insoles and shoes to each client. Even more impressive is they don't charge you for the service. This company understands customer service. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Absolute best shoe store out there!

I was looking for a very specific pair of Hoka Bondi black on black non-slip shoes for my bartending job at the recommendation of a nurse friend. I was greeted immediately when I entered and they looked up my RR purchase history. They had the shoes I was looking for in my size and brought out some alternatives to try as well. Nathan helped me with a custom pair of RoadRunner inserts for my high arches that were molded to my feet while I was in the store. We renewed my VIP membership which paid for itself on this purchase with savings. I am super excited to wear my new cushy Hokas with custom inserts tonight for work and if all goes well I'll purchase another pair shortly so I can alternate shoes every other day. Great customer service, product knowledge and availability, and pricing!

I got a pair of Hoka's and inserts for my shoes. It was a busy Sunday, but they have an awesome system for giving each customer service as they come into the store. Knowledgeable and attentive staff.

Frankie was great. He was very helpful and knowledgeable in getting my son the proper running shoes. He did not make us feel uncomfortable and push us into buying anything. Overall, great experience.

Road Runner has very experienced and knowledgeable staff to help with fitting. I was evaluated on three different machines to determine which shoes were likely to be a good fit for me. I also switched from a neutral Hoka I’d been wearing to a stability Hoka that’s half-a-size shorter and more narrow for my feet. Mille and Wayne provided EXCELLENT customer service in helping me to exchange a pair of shoes I didn’t wear due to a foot problem for a better fit and type of shoe I need for a couple of trips.

Natalie and Jennifer were amazing professionals who knew their product!! Super knowledgeable, kind and very helpful in helping me find and buy the perfect shoes I need as an RN, as well as having MS and left side impairment. Hubby and I will definitely being going back!! Thank you to Managers Nathan and Michael as well!!

Natalie S was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and offered alternatives with out of stock items. She ordered a pair of shoes for us that weren’t available in store, and offered for us to upgraded our VIP status for minimal cost. Went above and beyond.

I bought shoes and they gave me plantar fasciitis. I came back to the store and they spent a long time refitting me and running the fit test. My new shoes are being delivered to my house at no extra cost. I appreciate the customer service and hope these new shoes work

I really enjoy this store the fitting and custom insoles in minutes are cool. Just can leave there without spending on a pretty penny on kicks.

You can try shoes for 90 days; I found the best athletic shoes to fit my needs & I did don’t know that had inserts you can purchase that are heat molded yo your feet. The employees are friendly, helpful, not pushy & very knowledgable.

Exceptional Shopping Experience - Ask for Kaye!
I only had 30 minutes to dash in and get a new pair of inserts (1st pair were finally worn out). Kaye quickly found my record and got to work making a new pair. While those were being made he explained the current selection of shoes that would work best for my exercise style and my gait, and then explained the trade-offs between product material wear vs weight. (So interesting!) With all his help I was able to make an informed choice in new shoes, get inserts customized to my feet and put into my new shoes and get out the door with a smile in less than 30 minutes. It's cool I learned a little more about how running shoes are made and why. I bought shoes I would not have even know to try without Kaye's help and knowledge. I used them today love them already. Thanks for the exceptional shopping experience!

A year later and I’m back for a new pair (should not have waited so long). Another great experience even though the store was extremely busy today. Got an amazing deal on the new shoes using my rewards! Thank you Road Runner Carlsbad.

My wife and I both enjoyed the fitting program and got good advice from the salesperson. We both bought shoes that ended up being super comfortable!

Jennifer at Carlsbad was very helpful, not pushy and ordered me two pairs of shoes in my size and they arrived two days later. I asked her about some comfortable socks for my feet with a bunion on one foot and a botched bunion surgery on the other. The socks are amazingly comfortable and I will buy more. Scored on the tent sale for myself and husband. 2 pairs lightly loved shoes for $130 but with my VIP discount and my VIP rewards out the door was $85.
