The wine bar here is fun. Get a wine card for a $2 activation fee plus whatever you decide to put on the card and then use it on the wine vending machines. There's a nice selection of different wines that, at least for me, are not the stuff I usually buy. So it's nice to do some tasting. You can choose to get just enough for a few gulps ($2, $2.50 range) or a regular pour ($7 to $10). The prices are from memory so may not be exact. They also have a nice selection of cheese and meat boards, sandwiches, etc. See my pictures for the menu.

Read some of the bad reviews, and examine my time here (once, so take it with a grain of salt), and here are some points I would make (scroll down for deli), the deli staff were amazing, so so nice, I cannot stress it enough, but the liquor store staff maybe were a bit tougher, it was like hard to get them to smile? Which is irrelevant, their job is to sell me alcohol, so they accomplished it. But would be nice if someone asked if I needed help when I was wandering around, it’s a big place, GREAT selection!! Another point, the prices are a dollar or two more than some of the cheap neighborhood spots but no big deal, the selection makes up for it.

The deli was amazing. Ive had $16 sandwiches that feel like they should be $8 but this was totally delicious. The dipped sandwiches come with perfectly developed broths, seasoned just enough, the buns were amazing, everything about the deli was a great time.

South Lyndale Liquors is awesome! We live relatively close by, been coming to them for years, and i love their new location and expansion. Wonderful selection and service. They have a great staff who’s really knowledgeabe. They even helped me with a dynamite wine tasting real estate Client appreciation event once that went super well. Thanks you guys!

Great selection of wine, beer and whiskey. They also have a great loyalty program where you get cash off your total at checkout. New location has sandwiches. Going to try them all and report back.

We have been so excited for South Lyndale’s reopening, and were so impressed by what we found! The new liquor store area is so huge and well stocked- as compared to before it is a lot easier to find what you are looking for and stroll calmly through the aisles. We also decided to have lunch at their deli and we thought it was delicious! We ordered their italian hero and prosciutto cold sandwiches and were really impressed by the quality of the bread, meat, and other fixings. We are so excited to keep trying other menu items here.

Oh goodness, this new location is gorgeous! So welcoming and the selection is really excellent. They even have a little cafe in the front with sandwiches and some cheese / meats.

as a huge fan of Eastern European beers and Portuguese wines & liquors, I simply admire and appreciate their unique and astounding selection.

I stop by every other month, and whenever I'm there it just feels pleasant to walk around, explore all the unique liquor you'll hardly find in any other store in the Cities and, of course, grab quite a few bottles. I sure look forward to be back soon!

Great atmosphere to shop for booze or grab lunch. These Matt Brickford sandwich creations are soon to be a staple for Minneapolis. So happy he's back and SLL has expanded. Can't wait to try their new wine machines!

Fantastic selection of everything—beer, wine, and spirits. Seriously, this is the nicest liquor store you will ever visit in Minnesota! They also have a sandwich shop and the turkey sandwich is delicious.

Love that they have a little cafe with garage doors that open to the outside. Wine by the glass coming soon dispensers in the seating area. Specialty sandwiches were delicious and made on the spot. Staff was (still) friendly and helpful, and they still allow dogs (even though they have a cafe/deli area, which was what made me think they might not be welcome at the new location). There are nice, clean restrooms, a raised dog bowl set next to the drinking fountain with also has a bottle filler.

We loved South Lyndale Liquors before, but now it is a destination for more than just alcohol.

The new location also touts the largest beer cooler in MN, which has pretty much any and every "local" brewery represented. It was so interesting just to look at some of the names and ingredients of the drinks they have to offer. There is a small freezer that contains a specialty mixer that looks like something I'd like to try, too - Boot Leg.

Plan to spend some time here, at least for your first visit! Food is packaged to go, but seating area is open and welcoming for use.

Just picked up some holiday booze and stopped at this deli for a sandwich. Ordered hot, Italian beef-dip sandwich. It was the best savory, crusty, cheesy, spicy-pepper filled handful of heaven that I’ve ever eaten. If you watch the bear and wonder what a great hot Italian beef sandwich tastes like, look no further than the market at South Lyndale liquors at 55th and Lyndale you will not be disappointed. The hours are pictured in my post photo. Kudos to the chef!

An incredible market and liquor store in a great new space! Huge variety, tastings, and plenty of room to spread out. Looks like wine on tap and possibly an event space are also in the works. Haven't tried the sandwiches yet but have heard they're top-notch.

Incredible selection and beautiful space! And they have delicious sandwiches, a kids menu and fun deli items- very kid friendly. Finally have a place to find Asian alcoholic beverages like soju, sake and maekgoli! Great service too. Everyone we interacted with went above and beyond.

Awesome selection and great staff. I bop in every once in a while and never regret it. Also the new sandwich shop has some great options.

South Lyndale has everything. Amazing selection, super friendly staff. So great to see them in the new space, which has so much more to offer now.

South Lyndale Liquors is quite possibly the best liquor store in Minnesota. They have everything you could ever want from wine and beer to hard seltzers. The Fall Sale is awesome! They even do taste tests and recommendations. 10/10!!!

Brought my mother in for lunch, some fantastic sandwiches here at the new location. Italian beef is a delicious classic, jus for dipping. Smoked turkey with bacon, fig jam and sprouts, such a great tasteful sandwich. Definitely coming back.

Amazing Liquor store, good prices, great selection, knowledgeable staff, and friendly service. The staff are always really nice to my little dog Floki and give him a treat and pets.
