I came for a specific product that they have on promotion and they could not find it in their stockroom. Waited for about 10 minutes only to be told that they don't have it and there was an inventory error on their part. Brennan was kind enough to offer a similar (actually an upgrade to the one I meant to get) for the same price. I took the offer and then asked if I could return an item which I bought from a different location. He said it is fine as long as I have the receipt.

So, I bought the Everlast F.I.T. Powercore Heavy Bag Kit for $91.59 and then returned the Everlast Cardio Fitness Bag that I got last night. It was too light to take power punches.

Big 5 always has great deals on name brand items. I stopped by to pick up a couple of Kershaw folding knives that were on sale. I was assisted by Ricky and he was upbeat and very helpful. Sign up for their emails to get the best deals available.

They had the lowest clearance prices I almost cried tears of joy. Plus, salesman, Benjamin was extremely knowledgeable about every pro, con and odd fact about basically everything.
(Especially shoes- which pair we should is for which activity- my and my son's feet thank him 😊) The store was clean and well stocked and they were very polite and helpful when talking with my 7 year old son.

Went in to track down an item I saw online. The store computer showed 1 in stock. At least 3 clerks tried to help locate it, as I couldn't find it. One guy finally located it in a totally different area of the store. Lots of good deals there too.

Was in the area & glad i stopped in.. wider selection of shoes than other Big 5 stores & more people on the floor to assist you.. bought some New Balance shoes & used the $10 coupon that comes in the mail every month(Valpak) for any purchase over $30. Nice people & store is kept clean..

Great Customer Service The Sales Personal helped me out a lot in the Shoe Department and Nike Womens Wear.

They have good deals on most items.The guy in the shoe department was helpful today. They didn't have the shoes that I wanted in stock, but he told me I could go to the front counter and order them.

The BIG 5 in Costs Mesa off of Harbor Blvd was epic!! They held a pair of boots for me that I had the HB store call about the night before!! Extremely helpful there & very kind!! If the store was closer I would more often!! But still a awesome place to shop!!

My favorite sporting goods store in the area! They always have great prices on running shoes. If you subscribe to their email list, they often send coupons.

Super helpful and the staff was great with kids. We got our kids baseball stuff there and it was very smooth purchase. They even held the bat overnight.

Nice to still have brick and mortar sports stores. Needed 3 tennis balls, simple as that. Not trying to buy 100 of them via Amazon Prime.

Sales staff speaks well on the phone and gave me all the information I needed to know to purchase a product that works well with me.

I'm a difficult fit for shoes. The guys were super helpful!! By the way, why aren't the employees wearing your own sportswear? I'd expect them to be wearing athletic wear.
