Heritage Hobbies

I am a obsessive maker and like to visit hobby shops when I am travelling to see what they have. This is a small shop that has a great selection of items for many disciplines. Some shops are too RC heavy and others are all Military Models etc... this was a great all around shop. Gentleman I spoke with was friendly and helpful. I bough a few pieces of material that I will use when I get home from this road trip.

Rocco the owner keeps a great shop. From new to Consignment models and collectibles. The best place to visit after eating pie from Michelle’s Pies. LEGO’s, 1:35 scale tanks, planes and trains. He has a line of RC and race cars as well. Plus Star Wars and Star Trek! Worth the stop for any amateur or master Hobbiest.

Excellent hobby shop with products for modelers ranging from beginners to advanced. They gave a nice selection of kits and modeling supplies including multiple ranges of paints. If they don’t have it, they will order it for you. Definitely my go to!

No place like Heritage Hobbies. Old school hobby shop. Not many around anymore. It’s always good to to talk shop with Rocco as well. He’s extremely helpful and anything he might not have he will do his best to find what you are looking for. Just a plain nice guy.. Also has a lot of old school models like Monogram etc. Always feel like a kid when I visit. Purchase all my paints and other items only at one place and that is Heritage Hobbies. Highly recommend!!

First time visit. Rocco was very, very helpful. Price for glow fuel was better than national brick and mortar chain (not sure I can mention them by name but you know who I mean). Nice selection of RC stuff in store and he was happy to special order. Definitely worth the drive just for old school hobby shop feel. We talked engine tuning for a while. Great guy.

Good store. Went in yesterday to look at rc cars, definitely eyeing some Rocco is a very nice man and knows his rc’s well!

Was able to get my basic hobby needs, without paying for shipping. Owner was real friendly, and nice to converse with. Have been driving by location for several years without knowing it was there. Will be a repeat customer.

I am brand new to the model scene, particularly constructing nature and landscape dioramas. I’m the type of person to dive in headfirst and become totality immersed in projects to the point of being overwhelmed. I visited a hobby shop superstore in Manhattan followed by two Michael’s Arts & Crafts stores’ local to Heritage Hobbies. To be honest I was disappointed in the first 3 stops of my new interest as their wares were thin and were quite spread out throughout the store and the employees of the first two franchises had no knowledge and provided no insight besides pointing their fingers at the depleted selections. I was going to move my search online when I discovered Heritage Hobbies. At first glance it’s not very big until you step inside and its packed with all sorts of awesome. Their selection of what I was looking for blew me away. They had a ton of material and props I didn’t know existed, stuff that I couldn’t online in the 4/5 months of research I did leading up to me pulling the trigger. I was helped by Rocco, who I assume was the owner after he told me that Heritage Hobbies had been in business for 36 years. Rocco was a complete professional. He went out of his way to assist me and answer all my questions, while also doing the same for another customer. There were also two other employees both of whom judging from what they said were also consummate professionals. This store has such a welcome vibe and is a true small business. I plan on returning every chance I get and look forward to building friendly relationships with all three men employed here.

Great place for all hobby products. Recently bought an R/C airplane from there. Rocco is the owner who has fantastic prices!! He also gives lessons teaching how to fly. I've had 2 flying lessons with Rocco, and probably need another 2-3 lessons. Rocco is the best !! Anyone & everyone should stop by and check out his store.

A very cute shop with a nice variety of RC kits and parts, lots of good plastic models and other hobby stuff. Rocco, the owner, is a sweet older man who has had this shop for over thirty years! Pay him a visit to say hi and buy something you need or just want, it’s worth it in many ways.

Went here earlier to pre order a traxxas sledge. Rocco help me in understanding the different batteries and how to take care of it. Also has a lot of spare parts for traxxas. This will definitely be my hobby store!

If they don't have what you want they will order it. Rocco is the owner and is very helpful. He will give you tips. Great prices.

Came up to CT from NC to attend an NHRL event and left our lipo batteries at home. The gentleman there had exactly what we needed plus some and saved our day! Thank you for your time and for just being all around awesome. We will pop by on our next visit. ☺

Rocco is amazing and is great with all the rc cars. he even fixed my old rc car and made it even better! my uncle also comes here to get rc's, and he likes rocco alot too! i absolutely love this place, i would definitely recommend it to anybody into drones, rc's (Boats and Cars!), trains, and more cars! If i could rate it this high, i would give it ∞ out of ten!

Rocco was a fantastic owner and the prices are great. It was fantastic to be able to find a hobby store in this area because as you probably know they are very rare.

Great hobby shop. Rocco the owner is friendly and super patient with kids. We have been coming here for a few years now. Open on Sundays is great!

Good old fashioned hobby store. 30 years and counting. Support your local businesses and not the internet and big business. One day when you want this shop he just might not be there. One on one personal service usually dealing with the owner directly. Prices very competitive with the internet, yes you have to pay sales tax but it's far less than exhoratant shipping and handling charges.
