Nice place to go to, wide selection of sporting goods, discounts when you subscribe to their newsletter.

Big 5 always has what a customer could need for sports. Needed tennis rackets and balls, found both out of a wide variety and definitely the least expensive for identical tennis rackets throughout the city.

I'd recently lost 200 lb over 6 years and my son wanted me to go swimming with him. Unfortunately after losing the way I had so much leftover arm skin but I was very self-conscious about wearing a bathing suit would just drops and I was looking for a rash guard with long sleep. Everywhere I looked in town that I could buy one that day nobody had any in stock they all had to be ordered. I didn't know what to do. My son wasn't going to wait for me to order one and wait for it to come in the mail he wanted to go swimming now. Thankfully I found several to choose from at big 5! It was great! Decide which bottoms to get with the top for the best match. I would recommend this store highly! In the past it hasn't been a store that I thought much of to go to to buy things but now I will definitely go there first. Very happy customer.

Corinne behind the gun counter was very helpful (and funny)! I couldn't decide between a knife or BB gun for my boyfriend and she very effectively upsold me a $100 gun with two different kinds of ammo and CO2 cartridges. I thought I was going to spend maybe $50, but she got me :)

I also came in looking for a mini cycle for my mom, honestly not expecting to find it, but it was there, and I found it in less than a minute in the store, for ~30% cheaper than the same models online, which is crazy - you never find stuff cheaper in the store.

One last thing - they always have super cute hats.

I'm no extreme athlete by any means, and cannot speak to the quality of any of their more niche products, but for the few items I purchased, I'm very satisfied with the price, product and customer service - especially considering it's the holiday season. I was very pleasantly surprised.

They were so helpful and all so amazing. My friend was having a lot of trouble with her card and trying to find her size and such. To the boss, please give Gisella a nice raise. She deserves it. She is an ANGEL! And everyone else who was working the night of Feb 2nd. You guys are all amazing and so helpful. 💓💓💓💓

The Big 5 in Petuluma was beyond words, they literally let me annoy them with calls, dont do it, but awesome staff from cashier/inventory- to the Manager. They literally answered all my questions and they did so with experience and true honesty. They have my full support at this store. I mean I'm an active person and they satisfied all my questions and needs. I wish there was more companys or people like them in this weird world. Why can't we all just get along right, LIVE. Awesome store infinity/10. 😍💯

The cashier warmly greeted & asked if I was looking for anything in particular. She knew exactly what I was looking for and where to find it. As I wondered around looking at all the variety of items on sale I was offered assistance without having to ask for any! Being an active family and in year- round sports I know I'll find the right equipment at the right price!

Out of all the Big 5 stores in the north bay, this is my favorite.
The store is always well stocked and organized and staff is friendly.
Whenever I shop there I always use a 10-20% off coupon by signing up for the eteam, it does help save a little money.

Today I came in to buy an MTECK Tomahawk for my Physician's Emergency Kit that I have building for him.
The Gentleman in the Hunting Department was really great, and got my what I wanted, in "Record Time";
And, after 5 minutes in the store I was Done.
Through tomorrow, with the online Coupon, you can get 20% off a Full-time item, and 10% off of a Sale item.
They almost always what is on sale;
But, if they don't have an item in stock, they will call the Rohnert Park or Santa Rosa store, to see if thry still have more of the sale item

Had a flat on my bike by Big 5,bought a tube,but they were out of the tire changing kits(temporarily out of stock) the employee who helped me(forgot to get his name)also a bike rider lent me his tire changing tools.Thanks to him I was on my way in no time.Kudos Big Five Petaluma
