Countertops Today

Great experience with Turnkey from start to finish! Sam helped me pick out the perfect slab for my kitchen counters, and from the time I placed my order the process of measuring, fabricating, and installing only took a week. Very happy with the price, quality, and service and would definitely work with them again.

Sam and his entire crew at Turnkey were great to work with. The project was quoted, measured, and installed within weeks. My home was minimally disrupted, both crews protected the rest of my home and cleaned up when finished. Thank you Turnkey, you made it easy to update the entire kitchen.

I hate myself for going to a big box store for my upstairs countertops. turnKEY was the choice I should have made and did for my 1st floor. Incredible service, products, prices. Make no mistake go with turnKEY.

Our recent experience with Turnkey Renovation was extraordinary! From the initial meeting with Tom, to the 3D Joanna Gaines design experience, living in a construction zone, to the final reveal, every step of the way was pleasant. Tom initially helped us find our vision. We had ideas, but couldn’t put them on down on paper. He helped us come up with the perfect layout after changing our minds a few times. Every step of the way, we were informed and involved. We also had to live in our home during the whole process. While it’s not ideal, it was kept as clean as a construction zone could be for us. It was so exciting to see the reveals as things were completed. As the project came to fruition, everything was gone over with a fine toothed comb to be sure we were happy. One of my favorite parts of the process was the cleaning crew provided at the end (especially being 8 months pregnant at the time!). This allowed us to literally just start enjoying the space. We’ve been in contact with Tom since the completion of our project and he even helped us on more than one occasion with emergency situations we had in other parts of the house that his company wasn’t even involved in. We highly recommend using Turnkey Renovation for your future home projects, is was a wonderful experience!! Oh, did I mention they finished earlier than expected too.....

I had my master bathroom remodeled and it turned out perfect! PJ and Tom were wonderful to work with, very helpful! Definitely recommend using turnKEY!

Awesome experience... 1st Class in design, planning and execution of our total remodel. Our dear friends have already hired the team for a 1st floor remodel in Oak Lawn and I cannot wait to see how it comes out.

Beautiful installation of countertops.

This review is for TurnKey Renovations, or TBCS, Inc.
Hiring this company was a mistake. Kitchen remodel that was supposed to take 6 weeks took 6 months. Communication with Tom/PJ/Liam was horrible, and I was constantly chasing them down for answers. Scheduling was a mess - they consistently seemed to have no idea what work would be happening or when. At one point, we had a month go by where only 3 days of work got done with no explanation, only excuses.

Tom never showed up to interface with subcontractors, even though we were told from day one that we'd never have to deal or even talk with the trades, that they would handle/manage everything. Project management was nonexistent - and I had some really awkward encounters with tradespeople that should've never happened. Once I reminded them how they told me they'd manage everything, only then did Tom's son start showing up every time a trade was at the house, and I had to really yell at them about it to get them to start showing up.

Attention to detail is severely lacking. I always felt like they had no idea at all what the status of our project was or what was going on or things I had told them. Example - from the get-go I had a sink that I wanted. Bought it right away, and told them this is what we're using. Day of countertop install they show up with some other sink. Had to take the countertops back and cut the right size opening for the sink.

There were several mistakes made, and although they were eventually corrected, I had to really hassle them to get it done. Example - there was a mistake made regarding placement the vent for a range hood that I mentioned to Tom early in the process and he completely blew me off like I had no idea what I was talking about. Turns out he was wrong, then it was a pain to get it fixed, and the correction they made left the ceiling messy looking.

The last straw was being ghosted for two weeks towards the end of the project, and I felt I had no other choice but to threaten to fire them - and it still took them over a month from that point to complete what could've been done in a week.

Last thing is minor, but PJ told me a cleaning crew would come through our house at the end of the project but that never happened, which is too bad, because that would have been a nice touch after all the problems we had.

I told them this to their faces, and I'm sure they don't care since they got their money, but I would absolutely never ever hire this company again and would not recommend anyone else to either.
