Saint Seneca Store

I don’t know I’ve never heard of or visited this store before today. However, I’m glad that I’m fully aware of its presence in Ridgewood. Saint Seneca has been around for awhile now. They were at their original and previous location for about six years. They have been at the new location for 1.5 years.

I was here for a private event and this store made me happy. The plant store section has a wonderful assortment of beautiful, healthy plants. I wanted to purchase one but knew that it wouldn’t last long with me.

The gallery section was pretty cool. However, my favorite part of the store was the main area where they sell lots of unique and cute goodies. It is so hard to choose an item to purchase because there are many options to choose from.

Staff and the owner were quite pleasant and ready to answer any questions. Stop by and visit Saint Seneca when you are in the neighborhood and I’m sure that you will glad that you came by.

I absolutely adore this space! I stumbled into it on a neighborhood walk back in 2016, and as soon as I stepped in, my heart felt like it was home. This might be a small local business, but there is nothing small about the heart and soul of Saint Seneca. It's a bonus that it's owned by the coolest chick with a huge soft spot for humans, pets, and plants alike.

Yuka curates her spaces with an artistic and thoughtful eye, while putting an emphasis on local Ridgewood/Queens/New York creatives and other small-batch home goods and personal adornments. Whether you're a seasoned New Yorker or just in for a quick visit, let the charm of Ridgewood reel you into the shop's doors--and don't forget to check out the attached art gallery and brand new plant and pottery shop (right next door)!

My experience with Saint Seneca has been impeccable. I wanted to surprise my sister for her birthday and I wanted it to be something special because I couldn't be in the USA for her birthday, because I live in Europe.

In the search for the perfect place I found this beautiful store and even better, beautiful people. They helped me prepare the perfect surprise for my sister, they gave me options for product changes, they coordinated everything with the delivery place, the created beautiful gift packaging, and also helped me with every detail.

Without a doubt, an ideal place where they received my requests with the best attitude and availability. If you are looking to give an original gift, I would definitely choose Saint Seneca!

I popped into Saint Seneca during a stroll through Ridgewood. The store was full of fantastic gifts and jewelry. I purchased earrings that I needed to exchange and the owner was tireless in ensuring that I was able to find something that I would love.

EDIT: I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE OWNER NOW DOES BESPOKE AND OTHER GARDENING NEEDS AND I CANT SCOOP UP HER PLANTS FAST ENOUGH. Her eye is just incredible. I want her to come fix up my entire apartment. Check out this rare beauty I just picked up...

I am absolutely obsessed with this store. Saint Seneca is by FAR my top pick for home decor, and it has honestly made me the go-to person for gift recommendations. It also feels great to support a small business. You seriously cannot go wrong here.

Saint Seneca is the BEST!! This is the only place I go for special gifts for loved ones of all ages. The selection of hand-crafted decor, clothing, children's toys, jewelry, artwork, and more is the best you will find in NYC. Their assortment of cards (birthday, birth, wedding, anniversary, etc) is really fun. You'll find pretty and unusual cards here for every occasion. Saint Seneca is also attached to a fine arts gallery showcasing (and selling) some of the best contemporary art from local and international artists. Next door to Saint Seneca is their sister shop (Saint Seneca Nature) where you will find some of the most beautiful plants and gardening accoutrement. I always look forward to popping in, picking up a few items, and shooting the breeze with the shop's owner.

I happened to be in Queens recently and stopped in this store to check it out. I wasn't looking for anything in particular but it looked like a cool place. As soon as you walk in the door you can feel the warm and inviting vibe. It's pretty obvious that there's been plenty of thought put into the inventory and layout. There's almost an art gallery feel to it without being pretentious.
The staff is super friendly and there's no pressure to buy anything. I was just killing a little time and had no intention to make any purchases. Well, I left with a book, some shampoo for my dogs (which is all natural ingredients and smells amazing) and some grooming products for myself.
They have lots of home decor products, books, jewelery, self care items, clothing. A really nice variety. They have a great website where you can purchase anything in the store but if you do that, you're really missing out on the personal experience.
If you find yourself in the Queens area, do yourself a favor and pop in for a visit but be warned...you won't leave empty handed.
I'll definitely be back!

Saint Seneca added such great little touches when my partner ordered a gift online.
I received a beautiful necklace, shipped to my apartment with a wonderful hand written note on the front, which made me smile. My boyfriend ordered the necklace as an anniversary gift. The store staff wrote "happy anniversary. you are so loved" on the envelope. Wonderful surprise to find in my mail box!
When I opened it, it was beautifully packaged with some wonderful touches (a small spring of dried flowers and tied up with string). They'd also hand written a note from my partner on the box.
These little touches made an already wonderful gift even more special and made both of us smile.

yuka has such an amazing eye not only in curating the items she selects for her shop, but also in their presentation within. saint seneca store is a true gem in the neighborhood of ridgewood, qns, and is my absolute go to place for house-wear, handmade ceramics, pots, candles, and even dogs/cats accessories! if u’re ever in need of beautiful products to spruce up your apt, or the perfect gift for your loved ones, then make saint seneca your #1 destination! u won’t be disappointed, trust me. 👍

This store is an absolute gem! The owner Yuka is so lovely, she has an amazing and affordable selection of home decor items and plants. Shopping here helped me brighten up my home during quarantine. She offers free home delivery in the neighborhood so I always got my orders super quick! I can't say enough good things about this store and can't wait to go back in person when they reopen. I was looking for something to buy my wife for Christmas and was at a loss.
A friend suggested Saint Seneca and I'm so glad they did. Shopping is way out of my comfort zone but Yuka the store owner made me feel so welcome. She took time to show me everything and I decided on a beautiful green cord skirt for my wife.
When Yuka asked my wife's size, she could tell by my blank expression I had no idea. I would never have thought of this but she suggested I ring my wife's best friend and ask her.

The cutest shop in the neighborhood! We find so many great artisanal and handmade gifts for friends and family here. My personal favorites are all the different scents of candles and sprays for the home. Everything smells so good! The owner, Yuka, and the staff are also so friendly. Good vibes all around at this Ridgewood gem.

A lovely gem of a store, with an excellent price range and great gift ideas for friends, family, and yourself. The owner has a great and uncomplicated eye for both the decorative and the useful and blurs those lines because things that make you happy are things you enjoy wearing and using.

The perfect little shop full of thoughtfully curated items for yourself or a loved one. There are home goods, jewelry, the most delicious scented candles and unique baby and children items, too! Gifts for any occasion...or a treat for yourself! And...the owner is beautiful and so lovely and worth the visit alone!

I recently used their free local delivery option during NYC’s PAUSE mandate. I received my items beautifully wrapped and on my doorstep (contactless delivery) within hours of ordering! So easy and a great way to support a beloved local store.
After that, I remembered that Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and used their website to send my mom a gift in another state, and a soon-to-be mom a gift as well.
Saint Seneca has been a go-to shop for us for years! It’s always filled with beautiful and unique items and I can always manage to find something for any occasion —birthday gifts, books, housewarming, baby shower, Father’s Day, self care, etc.

A lovely well curated store. Yuka carries unique items that other gift stores do not. For example, while clogs are "on trend" the Lotte clogs I bought from her are both comfortable and stylish. Yuka combines products that are Ridgewood focused (great posters) and just cute and practical gifts and home items. The new location on Woodward is open and inviting. You want to hang out. And if you do, you will find something to buy!

Saint Seneca is a Ridgewood treasure. For such a small store it has a little bit of everything to offer. One corner has beautiful handmade cards and children’s books, and another has succulents and small potted plants in pastel colored ceramic pots. There are small glass jars of palo santo, embroidered pillows and handmade jewelry—cute little tepees for small animals—fragrances, mugs, literally so many amazing knick knacks. I pop in almost every weekend looking for a new item to bring home. The staff is lovely (especially Yuka, who I believe may be the owner) and knowledgeable. There isn’t one thing in the store they haven’t been able to provide real background on. I encourage anyone who lives in the neighborhood who is looking for some unique and artfully crafted pieces to place in their home, to visit the store. It’s one of a kind and a great local shop for the neighborhood!

I LOVE this little store. It’s perfect to buy gifts for ANYONE, mom, boss, husband, pet etc. Also all of my favorite handmade mugs are from there.

Besides being my favorite shop in the neighborhood, I wanted to support them during lockdown and they sent me, I kid you not, 3 separate notes thanking me for my purchase. Warms my cold dead heart.

I love having this shop and its wonderful workers in our Bushwick/Ridgewood community. Even during COVID and the holidays, the owner goes out of her way to accommodate customers -- whether it's local drop-off deliveries, upgraded shipping, or a friendly exchange in the store, Saint Seneca is always such a warm and inviting place.

I love this shop. They always have a treat for my dog, so its hard not to get pulled in when we're on a walk. I never feel pressured to buy anything, but every now and then something catches my eye that I have to have. They clearly support small artists and artisan crafts and home goods. #buylocal
