The Exchange

Great little local game store (chain). You can find nice deals on new & used video games, records, collectibles, CDs, DVDs, consoles, etc. Prices are usually pretty fair with some great deals on occasion. One thing to note is their game selection for older consoles is much bigger than their selection for new ones, but they can always order you games for a hair cheaper than GameStop or other retailers. The service has always been good. :)

Went there looking for a specific game that Game Stop did not have at any of their stores or online. I went here and they had it!!! So happy!!!
Also a great place to take your used, no longer needed dvds and cds to get either store credit or cash.

I've been to a few of The Exchange locations over the past couple of years to gather old PlayStation games for my husband and children. Also, I did purchase the gaming system and additional controllers. The staff at each location has been friendly and helpful. Somehow they have managed to have all the games that I was seeking in stock.

I shop here a lot for music at many of there locations around Pittsburgh.The staff has always been excellent and always willing to help you find the music you need.

Absolutely such a wonderful experience the whole staff was sooo professional and the manager Olivia really helped me out! It was like night and day compared to the Robinson store the manager (Veronica) Absolutely USELESS!!!!! Thank god for the Southside and their staff!

This Exchange is pretty cool. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Most importantly, there's so much to find here. I've got so many cool games and music and movies from them at good prices. Now they even have special sales sometimes for even more value. The location is pretty convenient too; I always stop by when I'm in the area.

It's like walking down the childhood lane. We visited this place from out of state for the first time this weekend and it was a bless. Hopefully the business will be slowly back to normal once the Covid-19 is over. We bought couple of very cool toys for very reasonable prices. We were geeked! Friendly staff a big plus too.

Very friendly, we called 1st to see if they had an item we wanted to purchase, they did and we went to picked it up. Plus very helpful. Love this place! 😊

Great place to go for all your gaming needs and I they don't have it they will order it from another store. Never had a problem with them except I bought all the guitar heroes and rock the 80s had guitar hero 1 in it still haven't made it back to exchange it but I'll get there lol. Common mistake and I should've checked before I left so it's my fault as well. I won't say Wich store and I'm not giving out names of employees. Like I said, it happens 😊.

They are always kind always helpful if you can't find something they will check all their stores and if they can't find the product I'm looking for they are usually almost always able to get it from their warehouse. They are an incredible chain and I have yet to have a bad experience in over 20 years of going there.

Always friendly staff. Love their vinyl and CD selection. Also $1 vinyls stored under the vinyls at counter height. Great series of stores in only the Pittsburgh area!

The exchange is a place that should never go extinct. The exchange is literally the best place to find games , movies, and music both new and used. They always have the movies I am looking for and every worker I have met from an exchange has been informative and helpful. The only downside is that upstate NY only has places like GameStop and I can only go the the beloved exchange while in Pennsylvania. Maybe one day we shall be blessed with the biggest exchange of them all!

An enormous selection of anything disc. CDs, DVD, gaming, etc. Was happy to see a place that still carried so much. Very helpful staff. Would love to come back and browse some more.

I've been going there since I've moved to the west end. I've been going there since 2006. It's by far the best place in Pittsburgh. And I know this is coming from a 15 year old. And it has the best location. I mean it's right by BURGER KING I hoe someone that works there reads this m.

Always have what I need

Guess maybe I'm and old guy that still likes CDs. I love going here when I edit my collection... turn in some disused stuff, get store credit for new stuff. (cash payment available also, but I never use that option)

This place is amazing and its a shame that people assume their used games are ALWAYS in 'mint' condition. I know for a fact that when I went to sell some common PS2 games in 08 when I moved to Southside and more recently in 2014 when I dropped off old XBox 360 games, the prices they offered were comparable or better by $3-5 than what was offered at major retailers and online.

Sorry Mike R, your games indeed must have been scratched as mine were in 'good' condition and they made no such similar comment. You either had a bar cashier or you're misleading people. I'm going to assume they offered you a fair price but, because you wanted more, you decided to take to google to complain.

Don't believe the hate, I've shopped there probably 10-20 times in 8 years and they are awesome-sauce! :)
