ShopRite of Fairfield

Shoprite of Fairfield, CT is more like your friendly neighborhood food market than a supermarket chain.  Everyone (everyone) working there is incredibly helpful and friendly.  It is a throwback to the old days when you received a personal approach from your local small business because they truly care about you as a customer. They appear to start with people who love their job and then train them well. Their customer service culture is infectious and engaging.

Their wide and good quality assortment of groceries is customized to local tastes and empathy for their customers and not only homogenized based on what their suppliers are promoting. The fresh and prepared departments are well stocked with higher quality products and the staff enjoys answering questions and explaining their products (especially the fresh fish department.)  It's a "how can I help you" and not a "what do you want," approach throughout the store,  including the fantastically pleasant and kind cashiers who talk with you like it was a country store.

Great layout, great deals. Great deli and selection of cheese and meat. It's a good grocery store overall.

My car got stuck in a snowbank in the shop rite parking lot, and about 10 store employees came out and helped get my car rolling again. Really amazing crew. Thanks!

Many supermarkets to go to but this is my favorite. It's small but has everything you need at decent prices. I particularly like the old school feel with great music playing!

Jeannette in the Deli section is sooo friendly! This grocery store is easily the best in the town. I don’t go anywhere else.

ShopRite is my grocery store of choice. I like their produce department and they have a good selection of meats. The staff their is very helpful.

Had a wonderful experience ordering catering for a baby shower from Shoprite Fairfield! Ordering was very simple through the Shoprite website and the team was communicative when there was the need for a substitution (they texted me which was helpful in my busy schedule!) Picking up was lovely, a manager helped me wrangle both my deli and bakery orders and the staff helped me cash out and load the food in my car! The food and nicely plated and wrapped making it easy to set up and display. All the food was fresh and very good. I especially liked the fruit "rainbow" which was adorable. The cheese boards were a nice mix of different cheeses and were a big hit! The only thing I wish I had done prior to leaving the store was have the deli staff label the cheeses so I could label them at home (the cheeses required some substitution, which is understandable). Overall a great catering success! I would highly recommend Shoprite catering and will probably order from them again if the need arises. Please excuse my tight photo of the catering on the table!

Great selection, great prices! Very accommodating, convenient close easy access from the local community, a pleasure to shop there! Very nice personnel, very attentive to the needs of the individual customer - I highly recommend this store. I also highly commend the store manager and Meat Department Manager for bringing in the Shor HaBor Kosher chicken brand products. I am extremely thankful that this product is available, and the store is able to carry this on a regular basis. I cannot fully express how convenient and easy it is to have Kosher, high quality products available in this area. Keep up the great work!

Great classic supermarket, with every possible category. I actually love the garden department and drive here from out of town just to buy live plants for my garden. I highly recommend this store.

Very nice selection and properly in order,aisles are very neat and stocked. Employees although mostly younger generation extremely nice,helpful and very well mannered!!

came in for a refund, and the girl at the desk wasn’t very helpful , she seemed like she didn’t wanna be there and was rushing out. The customer service person taking over , a young lady named Hillary was very helpful, very efficient , and helped me find all the items on my list. She made my shopping trip 10x easier , will be returning to this location !!

A little "cozy" but great staff

Actually never had a bad experience there.
I like the courtesy of the staff and that they are in uniform.
This store looks a little dumpy from the outside, but I have always found it clean and presentable inside. Very comparable to Stop&Shop. I've gotten great deals on meat over the years, while the meat quality at Stop&Shop had declined.
Very nice fresh produce section.

Not sure who owns this location now, but the previous owners were doing it better. AND the baked goods from in store are no longer available! Bye bye to my favorite rainbow cookies 😔

And... things have really improved over the past months. The updates were slow, but worth it! Shelves are stocked, the layout makes sense, self checkout moves quickly, staff doesn't look as miserable lol ... back in business!

The staff is amazing, the atmosphere is great. But one employee stood out the most to me. His willingness to help at moments notice. The bagger Luke. His smile made my day!

Always excellent. Very clean. Joe and Jim in Deli and especially Alex in Butcher shop outstanding. Front managers and service desk work hard to help customers. I love that the store philosophy is to hire local kids and people with disabilities. In my book it can't get better than that-- big operation, well run and yet tuned in to our local community. Kudos to ShopRite Owners.

Clean, full service, family owned grocery store. Excellent Produce, Prepared Foods, Flower, Deli and Meat departments. Really great fresh cheeses in the Deli section.

They came through for the community big time when Stop & Shop workers went on strike . That shouldn't be forgotten or overlooked

This is my store great food great prices organized clean store , I always find the gluten free products that's I am looking for and easy to find it because the way they put the labels on the shelves sais on them GLUTEN FREE under the item . The most important thing the excellent customer service everybody nice and helpful specially Jeremy he went out of his way to help me find my Lactaid , thank you Jeremy you’re very helpful ,, and thank you all.
