Food Lion

I just want to let you know that as a new resident of Blacksburg I am absolutely delighted to have the Food Lion within 2 miles of our home. You seem to have almost every item I need for my staples groceries and the produce is always fresh. But more than anything, I just love the young folk you hire as checkers and aisle attendents. I am a senior and when I have inquired about the location of anything your employees have directed me right to it or walked me right to it. When I have a big cart I always opt for full service check out since it is clear that your employees service my 30.items is faster than a ten item self-service checker. I am so pleased you employ enough checkers to make this option a great choice. As a senior citizen, I prefer the face-to-face interaction with the checker. Food shopping is a boring task but if you have a nice interaction at the end, as I have had with every one of your employees, it makes it something to look forward to. Although I only come in two or three times a week, I really love bantering with your young checkers. I absolutely love this store and the young folk manning the registers. Please pass on my praises. They make a chore into some thing fun and uplifting for a golden ager. Really love the young folks of the Food Lion!

this food lion has everything you would want stocked up along with some of the more expansive selections. the workers are super friendly and always willing to help you find an item in the back if they dont have it in the front. i will be coming back

Friendly staff, good selection of produce, clean bathrooms, well stocked shelves, okay parking and near to V.T. and Recreational Center! I have had great experiences shopping here and will continue to shop in this Food Lion!

As a disabled person I love being able to choose my groceries in their app, choose a time to pick them up, and let them know when I am there by clicking a link in my text messages. They bring my groceries out and load them in my car for me. Food Lion has lower prices than Kroger.

I used to be a Kroger shopper but in the last few months have switched over to Food Lion. This location's produce is consistently fresh and delicious. They often have items that no other stores can keep stocked. The front of house employees are honest and competent. Love this spot.

Food Lion North Main Street in Blacksburg is my favorite grocery shopping place.
I love their Deli and Bakery.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The store is always clean. (Including the bathrooms)
I actually drive out of my way to shop here.

Huge shout out to Food Lion for saving and letting me have some boxes. This is not an advertisement to blow them up for moving boxes, but in a pinch they really helped.

Food Lion to Go was wonderful this morning. The person pulling my order for pickup texted me as he began the order, and let me add some items. Asked me questions about how I preferred my bananas, if a certain substitute was acceptable, etc. My order was ready early, as usual. Even let me request a printed receipt, which other stores have refused. Food Lion on North Main and personal shoppers there are the best!

I tend to shop at food lion more than Kroger now. Mainly because it's much less busy and the staff are more helpful. The produce and meats tend to be much higher quality and fresher too.

I like Food Lion as it is close by and the produce is smaller but better than Kroger. Otherwise they have the same basic stuff as the rest and the students prefer Kroger so it's not usually as busy. The deli is good and Jackie has the meats I need for any occasion. I go about twice a day for work and it's fast and convenient.

The prices are right and the selection variety beats Kroger hands down. Not too mention I can't find anything in Kroger, and I used to work there.

Food lion always has the best prices and usually has everything I need! And isn't always pack with people either!

Love coming here. Great prices. At Kroger if something is $10/5 you have to get all 5 to get t he deal where as at foodlion if you buy 1 it will only be $2

Great store, great selection and reasonable prices. Produce section lacks but unless your a rabbit this shouldn't phase you. Good beer selection and very friendly staff

Usually nice staff. Was so on this occasion as well. I had an issue with my brain and scanning the wrong barcode. The person helped me out very patiently.

All employees are nice, store is always well stocked, and I have found many Food Lion brands that I love.
