Cabo Fish Taco

We stopped in for an afternoon lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the array of options they had food wise! I'm not big on fish, so I had the carne asada tacos and they were delicious. Our waitress, Celeste, was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Can't wait to come back!

Came by the night of the Christmas parade with 7 people, and had no problem getting seated without a reservation. They have a great drink menu - shoutout the El Cheapo - that we all took advantage of. I ended up going with some sort of lemon fish taco (forgot the name, sorry), and they were really good. What really stuck out to me was the shell itself - a lot of tacos that I've had have had really soggy/tough shells that ruin the whole experience. Their shells were the right amount of crispy, and were not dry.

Service was also good, and the pricing was fair.

Excellent tacos and cute inside decor. We had the Shrimp, Salmon and Mahi, and all were fantastic. It's up there with the best tacos ever.

Stopped by for an early dinner on Sunday. It was not crowded at all and service was good. It can get a little crazy during “peak” hours. We ordered the Thai Chilli Tofu tacos. They were very good. The cheddar jalapeño mash is also a crowd pleaser. Chips and salsa are tasty. We didn’t get drinks, but they did have specials. Highly recommend this place for a tasty taco fix.

Unique... great tacos with good options for different flavors, like BBQ, Curry, Gyro... chips and salsa very good too.

We came on a weekday night - there was a deal on tequila. We ordered fish tacos and chorizo con queso. I got the blackened Mahi mahi on corn tortillas - gluten free “gf”. They were good. Staff was friendly. Lots of seats. Meal came quick. Great for after or before Hokie basketball or football. Convenient to the drill field. Will definitely come back. A short drive from the courtyard Marriott and the Hilton.

We were there on one of the move-in days for VT so it was pretty busy for lunch. We gave them our phone number and they texted us when ready, about 20 minutes, and we were seated outside under a covered patio. They brought chips and salsa to the table. Salsa was a pico de Gallo style but surprisingly spicy, really great. The chips were also great. Don't know if they are made in house but really liked them. Service was quick and good. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was very crispy and not rubbery to eat. The two dips that came with it were delicious. I wanted to try the carne asada and also the BBQ Mahi Mahi tacos so they brought one of each instead of two of one kind. My wife did the same but got Soy Salmon and BBQ Mahi Mahi. Our daughter got lemon shrimp tacos. The soy salmon was amazing! BBQ Mahi Mahi we're really good and the carne asada was also delicious. Can't go wrong with any of them. Didn't try the shrimp but was told they were great.

Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the food a lot. Would definitely go back!

I was delighted to find such a decent place to have Mexican food in downtown Blacksburg. Service is attentive and food is worth the money. I ordered the Fajitas with steak and my friend ordered the Epic Tuna Burrito, we both satisfied with the taste and portion. Outdoor eating is available. Beers are served.

Lemon ahi tuna tacos were delicious. Black beans and rice side was quite good. Margarita was good.

Place and atmosphere is okay but food is awesome! Loved the corn salsa that comes before meal. Order is fast. Loved the pomegranate margarita and tacos. Good portion for the price. Definitely will be visiting again.

Best food and drinks in Blacksburg, in my opinion. Ate here all the time as a student, and try to make it back every time we visit now. You can't go wrong. Everything I've had has been delicious and fresh. The corn salsa you get with chips is awesome! I recommend the volcano shrimp and soy ginger lime shrimp tacos. Margaritas are some of the best I've had. Service is great and remarkably consistent. Some students used to complain about the prices being high but it is really very reasonable. You would pay much more for this quality of food, drinks, atmosphere, and service anywhere other than a college town. You can get 2 specialty tacos, a side, free corn salsa and chips, and a jumbo margarita for less than $20 bucks.

Came to Blacksburg for a Tech admissions tour and a friend of mine's freshman son recommended Cabo. I love fish tacos and they didn't disappoint. They definitely deserve their local reputation, some of the best I've had and great guacamole appetizer.

Come visit here and tried the crab dips and the soy salmon taco, both taste amazing! Getting a la carte is a good idea since I want to try different flavors. These are so special and for sure I would recommend it to anyone who come visit this place!

Always great food in an atmosphere that reminds you of being in the Caribbean, with tropical decór & Reggae music. Huge selection of beer, spirits, & cocktails. Sit indoors in the AC or outdoors under their large canopy. Even the kids were impressed with their meals.

Maybe weird,but first thing before I forget, the bathrooms was outstanding. LoL. It stood out tremendously. Because let's face it.... Yes, the food can be great and server is kind and attentative, but the bathrooms aren't always a pleasant site or experience. Therefore, this area of service or the lack there of can indicate much about overall, cleaning, sanitation and general Attention to details to offer the best conditions and service possible.
Yes, the meals was great along with drink service. I had a Spinich OPPS ( meaning I know I'll spell "cas__d_a." It was prepared well and tasted great. The host and severs was awesomeness.

I came here as a non-vegan student a decade ago and had fun and great fish tacos. I returned as a vegan alum and had fun and great tofu tacos. Protein changed but Cabo's quality and service stayed the same

Was here for lunch with a large group of people, I had the chicken and shrimp burrito. Food was great but the service was impeccable. Victoria was so on point with everything, from refreshments to checking in on us in a timely manner. One of the best servers I’ve had in a while!

I was a previous employee of Cabo. I was beyond impressed with the staff and bosses there. They cared about everything there.Down to the smallest detail. Examples making sure dishes had time to dry so there were no spots. To making sure everything was properly cooked battered seasoned ect. The atmosphere with each other was amazing. They had each orhers back and were very humble. If you would like excellent food from humble caring people Cabo is the place for you.
