One of the best restaurants I have ever been!
This is small family restaurant from 1974 and you can see the son of the owner cooking for you in the kitchen!
The staff is very friendly and nice! The food..., crazy delicious. Need to try!
P.S. And the best thing is that it is 100% vegetarian!

Great place to eat breakfast with family and friends! We've eaten here a number of times when visiting Blacksburg and have enjoyed it every time. The mix of flavors and options both taste great and present well too. Note that the menu does not contain meat, but that's never bothered us even though we're regular breakfast meat eaters. The atmosphere is very relaxed, always busy - a little loud if that matters to you. Overall, a great spot to eat and enjoy time together.

Amazing vegan options! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about what is vegan friendly and how to modify things. The food goes beyond typical uses of tofu and gets so creative! My “chicken” tofu tasted just like the real thing, and I was in love with the peanut tofu wrap.

if you are feeling vegetarian food you should definitely come here. the food here was great if you like veggies and they didn't disappoint with their food selection. i was having a great time with their service as well. they can host larger parties as well

We were seated immediately when arriving for dinner. The appetizer to start off was potato cakes served with dill ranch dressing. It was fantastic, the potato cakes melted in my mouth while the creamy ranch added smooth flavor. I wanted more of the dill ranch for my main course! I ordered the salmon burger and asked for chips and salsa over the other choice "coleslaw". The salmon was robust with juicy flavors by itself, but I added sriracha for a kick. I had to also add the dill ranch to the burger because it's amazing!! We finished with dessert by ordering espresso hazelnut cheesecake. It tasted great! Not to rich and you could taste the espresso though out each bite. The server was very attentive and informed us of all the specials before we ordered. I had a great experience at Gillie's. I would highly recommend this place to a friend.

What more to say about this place? Nice staff, great selection of food, and great price. The place is small-medium sizes.

Had fried quinoa with scrambled eggs. The other dish is with Sunny side up. Very delicious and flavorful. Tofu wasn't hard and mushrooms were very good. Very good service.

This is the only place in the area I have been able to find delicious vegan brunch/breakfast options! The food is always delicious, the staff are kind, and it's a cool atmosphere.

I had a really nice time sitting here while at Virginia Tech. The staff were all super friendly and I loved having all the veggie and vegan options for lunch. Prices were affordable and the portions were ample.

Quintessential Vegan college breakfast spot. As parents it was perfect for visiting brunch. Shrimp-Grits and eggs Florentino are great

Delicious! We had the house made black bean burger, seitan arepas, carrot-ginger soup and basil pesto pasta. Everything was wonderful!

Great small restaurant for breakfast - Service is usually fast, but it can sometimes be one the slow side. That said, the wait is well worth it. The coffee and food are fantastic. This is a great restaurant to just relax and have some morning conversations over a delicious meal.

Great aesthetic and AMAZING food. I grew up on a more vegetarian diet, and even though I'm not vegetarian, it's definitely my comfort food. They make amazing vegetarian cuisine at an amazing price.

I mean no insult when I describe this delightful restaurant as a kind of hippie diner. Its menu includes many diner favorites. However, it offers gluten free, vegetarian, & vegan options! This is wonderful for my husband and me, since we have different food allergies

Always delicious and fresh food. Most of it's local ingredients and the deserts are made fresh by their sister coffee shop/bakery.

Listen, I won't lie to you. I worked here for three years. That said, I still think that the Tofu Reuben is one of the most genius sandwiches ever. I love a damn sandwich so the fact they were able to create a unique take on a classic still rules. Most people talk about their baller brunch but homie go to lunch. I think it is above and beyond!

I love the whole Gillie family too. They are bold and mavericks in their own right.

I worked her during undergrad and eat there whenever I am in town. Love it!

I will miss you Gillie's. Morning Mamosas, vegan breakfast burritos, oh god those potatoes too, I would go back to Blacksburg just for Gillie's. The wait time isn't always the best, do try and go early if you can. The food is incredible, the staff is spectacular, and the prices are more than fair. If you are new to the area or just visiting, eat at Gillie's.

Vegetarian restaurant! Great food, I got STUFFED. I got blueberry waffles and their potatoes, very good! The potatoes are very good, great breakfast spot!
