Lane Stadium

No atmosphere or facilities better in the state of Virginia for a college football game. Lots of parking around the stadium but reserved for boosters and whatnot for tailgating on game days. Several gates to enter and have installed metal detectors for added security. Lots and lots eating places and beer kiosks. Many large restrooms. Onsite medical facilities. No bad view in the stadium either. The entry for the players to Enter The Sandman is great!

Great venue with tons of friendly staff. Food smells amazing so bring your appetite. Seats hurt a little but it's bleachers, they offer padded seats for 10$.

What an amazing stadium. Can't wait to see a game here. I can only imagine what it would be like. While I didn't see a game, I did have an opportunity not most get to see.

First visit to Lane Stadium, no complaints. Could not have asked for more hospitable representatives of university albeit volunteers, security, or fans. Every stadium has a unique personality, Lane Stadium's truly was a "this is home" feel.

Amazing stadium! Best food for a stadium that I have seen so far. This stadium fills up so be there early. You have to see a game here.

Always clean and always a great experience on game day. Concessions were fresh and tasty and the lines moved fairly quickly. Staff is always super nice and helpful should you need assistance.

A truly great experience! The stadium is excellent . The fans were warm and welcoming to this diehard Syracuse fan. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a Syracuse win.

The only place to experience gameday is Lane Stadium! The pre-game began with a U.S. Airforce flyover. As with tradition, the game opened with the crowd's energy building while jumping to Metallica's "Enter Sandman". The beautiful sunset, the sound of Skipper reverberating through the stadium, the sight of the fireworks, and the wonderful music and formations of the Marching Virginians embellished the game experience. A wonderful night was had, ending with a triumph over Pitt. Let's Go Hokies!

I just added what I could from the start of a game. Like I said, you have to experience it to understand.

I will start off by saying I am a Tennessee volunteer fan lol but with that being said I had the opportunity to watch Virginia tech play Notre Dame. This was an experience for sure from the tailgating to the inner sandman it was a blast. The fans are very welcoming the tailgating is a must I even bought a shirt it was that much fun !!

Lame Stadium has some of the best energy for college football that I have ever experienced. There’s really nothing like it!

In preparation for the first the game of the 2022 Season, I got a behind the scenes tour of the University Club at Virginia Tech and the rest of Lane Stadium. (Unfortunately Google and Apple don’t play well together in terms of video sharing format so all I have are a few stills!)

All I can say is “Amazing!” First off, I was welcomed by the Head Chef, the Club Manager and General Manager…..all of them OFF DUTY! Their hospitality and pride of ownership was obvious as they stopped to accommodate me.

Overall this is an affordable yet luxury members only club. Ask about their packages. They serve food to their guests all week long. It is excellent for networking and private events too. The main dining venue has spacious seating, where you can have a conversation without screaming across the table. There is a central bar with top shelf liquor featuring colored backlighting as an accent. In this room, the walls from floor to ceiling are glass, and anyone in the room can take in a view of the entire stadium and field. There is step down area to box seats for when the University President hosts parties at home football games that are fantastic and they do not obstruct the view of his other guests on the dining floor. Windows through out the stadium hallways give one a birds-eye view of the surrounding athletic fields and VT campus.

It’s worth noting that the kitchens were clean, organized, and well equipped. They were not cluttered. Regarding accessibility, there are nice stairs, but the elevators were also large, clean, and fast. Handicap accessible.

Side note and unrelated to Club Membership (yet fun for a football fan): The Press Area was just as nice!!! The Press Box isn’t really for the general public or members, but I wanted to see how VT hosted and the facilities were great. The Press get great views of the field, a clear view of the scoreboard, comfortable seating, and a ton of room behind those seats to walk around and stretch one’s legs, get food/drink or make use of dedicated restrooms. Definitely a class touch of hospitality. We’ll done VT.

Get a membership, eat great food and meet people, go to a game! You won’t be disappointed!

LET’S GO…HOKIES! My favorite sports venue because of the electric experience and amazing setting in the mountains of Virginia. VT fans love their team and are loyal through thick and thin. Catching Enter Sandman is worth the ticket price alone.

Great seats on the 20 yard line. Loads of fun with the fans around us. They were really into it...fun to be at the game with all the energy and excitement.
