Stop & Shop

Great place to shop for groceries. They have a big selection of items and have fair prices as well as coupons and membership savings.

They recently did renovations which involved labeling the departments with giant light-up letters, prioritizing the self-checkout section near the entrance/exit with a bigger space and about 8 checkout machines, and also switches around most of the aisles.

Some of the new aisle changes are a bit strange to me. Like they have the bread aisle pretty far down near the personal care items and the international section takes up roughly 4 aisles towards the beginning end (left side). This side also contains bulk beverages like 12-pack Coca-Cola and Pepsi products. And it's also pretty weird that the Pharmacy is near the soda products and there are a few personal care items nearby, but the majority of the personal care items are now all the way at the other end of the store??? I feel like they should have kept them near the pharmacy like before, but I want to hope that there was a method to this madness and I guess I can get used to the new arrangement.

(I also found it hilarious that I found toilet paper next to the beans.)

There are certain things here that irk me like labeling avocados as 5 for $3 in one section and then $1.66 each in the section right behind it. It makes it seem like 5 for $3 might be the better deal, but the price you pay for one is still $1.66 so it's just strange that they felt the need to include a 5 for $3 sign. Also, the fact that some products are unnecessarily wrapped in huge amounts of plastic is so wasteful and bad for the environment. 4 small tomatoes do not need to be covered in plastic. There's a ton of other examples I could give, but I don't want to be here all day.

But overall, this Stop and Shop is still a great place to buy your groceries and I will continue to come back here. I wish they would be more sustainable with their packaging, but that's a way bigger problem than just this particular Stop & Shop so I feel inclined to give them a pass. Also, this location contains a full-service Queens County Savings Bank for anybody wondering.

I often shop here to get deals on particular items. Love that it has a bakery, deli, and seafood section. You can find a little bit of everything in this place. There is also a bank inside, and a floral section. There is a parking lot and other businesses outside. The wait to pay is not bad at all. Just wish they were 24 hours.

Unique in that it offers a lot of international products! Always fun to explore the aisles for unusual gems.

I personally grew up coming here and watched as it transitioned. I since moved but I still drive back here because it has a clean atmosphere, high selection, and good prices. When I go into other supermarkets they’re not as organized, stocked, or decently priced.

Affordable prices, can find all that you need in one place. Several cashiers including a few self checkout therefore no long waiting in lines

I don't even know where to begin...1st of all...it's massive...28 isles!!! And it's 28 isles of food for damn near all nationalities, traditions, eating preferences. They actually sell sofrito (which if you're puertorican like me then you know that is basically our life line), and it's actual sofrito from 🇵🇷...not a knock off from a bodega in brooklyn (not a shot at bk, I love miles morales too)...but I digress...this is my new store which says a lot because there is a stop n shop 2 blocks from me on myrtle ave...but it's beyond expensive...because it's small...only 12 isles...and there's always idiots that park their car in front of entrances to load their cars...inconsiderate 🤡s. Love this supermarket 😍

It’s nice, clean and affordable, but don’t have small basket only big cart it’s very uncomfortable.

My FAVORITE place. Best deals, sales, quality of food is good, and the supermarket is very well kept and clean.

This store is ALOT better then it was then 2 years ago. It use to be disgustingly dirty, shelves never stocked on time or at all, staff playing around in the managers office and managers not managing. Now it's a big difference!!! Thankfully it's run so much better then before.

Great store after re-opening. Great setup, much more products available, much faster service at checkout and at the self service checkout

Manager that was working Saturday night on the 10th was a very big help. Even though he didn't have what we needed, he reassured us that he will be receiving a delivery very soon.

This store is a great place to buy everything you need. It has everything and internacional items, from Europe, Latin America and many other countries. If, you want to bake you are in luck also and if you don't know how they will do it for you!!! You can order a cake!!!.
The hot soups are amazing, get early though cause I buy more than one😉.
The staff are very friendly.

Go to store/parking with stocked shelves...always something needed and on sale

Store was clean.. Go early is the best time not crowded . Case of stocked meats and produce.The store has gotten a lot bigger very clean fully stocked. Have all your Thanksgiving needs .

Not Fully stocked,aisles are clean and neat. Prices continue to rise here. All the check out aisles are not operated, therefore the lines can be insane. Otherwise its a ball of confusion, 😄just a little humor! For those who know the song. The

I used to go to the Stop and Shop was on Myrtle Avenue past Fresh Pond Road, couldn't go much there since I would walk with my mom and little brother. So when my coworkers told me there was a Stop and Shop nearby, I decided to go check it out. It was very nice, very big, was able to save a lot of money and I love how you check your self out instead of the cashier's doing it for you. Will definitely come back another day.
