They definitely need more staff. They use to have some really good employees but I still love it

Staff are very nice and helpful here! Prices are pretty reasonable. The only drawback is that there aren't as many options for the tee ball size kids! Overall, I definitely recommend this location!

Overall a great store with great prices. Running shoes still good from over a year ago (Asics Brand). Too, much stuff to have fun searching around to grab.

I live across from the warming center across from the post office & the center was closed last night so alot of really cold people were hurting in the 20 something temp so I took out every dime I could a went to big 5 and bought sleeping bags and gave them out. Big 5 employees gave me a wonderful discount and were so helpful to me!!! God bless them. Good hearted people I am so thankful for. Just shows you there are good people left in this world and they work at big 5 in Springfield!!

Good experience this time. We were greeted when we entered the store, and were asked if we needed help finding anything, while making our way back to the shoe department. Once back there, two different employees offered assistance. They were friendly and engaged. Once I made my selection, I quickly had the right size brought out, tried them on, and was on my way. The cashier was friendly and helpful.
Nice experience.

Being paralyzed and with the chair some doors are heavy and hard to open, but those doors were light and easy to access.

Best place to get Nike in sizes that most places don't carry

For just a few dollars more than Walmart shoes (which I am not knocking) you can ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS find a solid pair of shoes here that will last twice as long and look & feel great.

Go here for shoes. You won't be disappointed.

Got several pair of name brand hiking boots here for the cost of one elsewhere. Great for kids active footwear as they seldom wear out shoes before they outgrow them. Sometimes the quality is somewhat lower, but the cost is way less. A great option to consider.

Customer service was amazing. I bought a mini trampoline and didn't measure correctly. One of the employees leaving for the night, stopped and helped me unpackaged it and magical got it in my car. Then he even ran the packaging back into the store. Above and beyond. Especially in these time!

Been frequenting this location for some years now and always appreciate the deals on shoes (even Nikes), backpacks and camping supplies. They also have a great selection of sports equipment, but thats not what I go there for necessarily.

Grabbed a new set of disc golfing disc's and haven't stopped using them yet very happy with my choice at this establishment :)

So my husband has huge feet. Size 14 actually. And Big 5 carries a particular, all black, plain sneaker in a size 14. My husband is always limited when shopping in store for shoes but thankfully Big 5 has this one particular shoe. The price is great too. Thanks guys!

So it's a good place to shop the people that work there are always very informed on their stock very friendly during the day and in the evening and because I shop late often I'm there just before closing and they're just as polite even then.

The sales are always good and for a small store they are well stocked.

Great place. A little bit run down outside but still a fantastic place to shop for shoes and a lot of other sporting goods and outdoor recreational stuff.

Although the day after black Friday there is still great inventory at the coupon prices! The staff are always super friendly and helpful!

Fantastic....went to Cabellas for waders and 5 employees were walking around but not offering any help. Left and went around the corner.....saw Big 5, parked, walked in and was helped and bought a set of waders and out of the store within 10 min👍👌👍👌👍 Thankyou for the good service. We will be BACK
