Clearwater park is one of my favorites in Springfield. It's a short distance from Main St., but once you're there, it's quiet & serene. There's a frisbee disc course, bathrooms, paved trail for walkers, bicyclists; equestrians have their own trail. Trail is shady, comes next to the Willamette Middle fork river, with benches to rest. It's about 4 miles to Dorris Ranch parking lot, with slight upgrade near the end. I like 1 of sayings on a bench-something like, 'I get lost in the woods to lose my mind & find my soul.'
Then there's the landing (2 actually) a few minutes drive pass the 1st parking lot. Landing has a couple of lots with bathrooms & hanging life jackets; 4 picnic tables.
Pros: flat paved trail except near Dorris Ranch, shady, quiet, birds; multi-use trail, frisbee disc course, boat landings nearby, bathrooms, next to river. Cons: flat trail if you like hilly.
p.s. There's a small, shallow creek under the bridge to old landing where kids play & float in summer.

There are public restrooms, an air frisbee thingy I have no idea what is called but you throw a disc from a certain point into a basket that's up in the air on a pole; from what I gather anyways... There is a nice trail that leads to Mill race path, or Dorris ranch, either direction is a very scenic view with either a river, or a pond next to you.; I even saw two people on horses while I was on the trails!

There is a boat launch, swimming area, bathrooms, hiking trails and frisbee golf.

Great hiking area.

The water is FAST with logs in the water. Wear a life jacket. The area for people to sit on the river side is smaller

Put your dogs on a leash.

Love to ride my bike out to this destination. A great paved path, frisbee golf course on the way, gravel paths all along the river. Beautiful River

Clean, wonderful walking path for beginners, and easy access to the river. Easy to find less swift areas of water for younger kids to play in and explore. This is also great for biking!

Lovely, peaceful, quiet. Picnic tables, walking trails, swimming, fishing, photo taking, birds singing, clean restrooms, right outside the outskirts of Springfield, what more could anyone ask for? In the winter, like right now, it's beautiful on a crisp, cold, sunny day. The river is high & swift, lots of kayakers & the like, zooming down the rapidly moving water. This park has it going on year around. Oh & the funny little branch sitting hummingbird, was sitting on the same branch, of the same tree, as it was in the summer! I love this park!

Good place for boat launch or take out and trails to walk, run, or bike. Bathrooms clean. Have never seen broken glass from break ins seems to be safe to park here. Can hike upriver on dirt trails to fish from bank.

What a beautiful place to visit. We like to kayak there. There are cabins to rent. A little store. You can rent the boats too.

Spacious, clean, not too crowded. My favorite park in the Eugene/Springfield area. I take my dog here almost daily. Swimming, tubing, hiking, biking, disc golfing, etc

I love this park. Especially on days where it’s really hot and you still want to hike and walk your dog. This trail has a lot of shade. such a beautiful view of both the river and forest

Nice path that goes along the river. Biking, walking, running and horseback riding allowed. No restrooms but there are 2 portapotties. There's a disc golf course along the path, but we had no interference from the players while we were walking. Loved taking pics along the way!

Lovely trails- they have paved trails for bikes, strollers, etc, and they also have dirt trails for horses. There is a disc golf course, river access, and restrooms on site. A great place to enjoy nature and do some bird watching.

We love bringing our dog here! It is the perfect spot to drop some tubes into the river or to just take a walk on the surrounding trails. There is always good parking available and the trails are so nice!

Great trail, fun to walk and see the water and lots of wildlife usually. Only issue is there are lots of bikes and it can be dangerous to walk with kids if you're not careful.

Great spot for a walk, bike ride, picnic, or even a swim! There is a little offshoot of the river along the bike trail that is shallow and slow enough for a dip, but still very clear and cool. The bike path leads to blackberry brambles that are good for picking in the late summer. Perfect place to just chill and hang out.

Great place to walk the dog. NICE bathrooms... CLEAN bathrooms. During the summer bring bug repellant cause the Mosquitoes are abundant! Nice wide path following the river.

I always enjoy spending time at the river and walking the trail no matter the weather and season. Easy access for the disabled, children, and dog walkers. Clean restrooms available.
