Flashback Grill

went here after the ice storm took out our power and all of the grocery stores near us. they were running a skeleton crew but were quick and the food was great! Can’t wait to visit again when the city isn’t frozen!

Got their breakfast bonanza skillet....... That thing was amazing!! Is was so flavorful and the pancake I got was perfect. The toast was great. Really pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is cute and I love the decor inside. A must eat breakfast diner!

Super clean, very friendly, so many things to look at on the walls and ceiling.... not to mention, great food and service.

O...M...G!!! Literally heaven in my mouth. Where do I begin lol. Okay, so my husband had mentioned this place before but I forgot about it. So yesterday we wanted to eat out but I'm so indecisive when it comes to food that I told my husband to pick. I remember throwing out a suggestion and he told me to just sit back and enjoy the ride as he already had a place in mind. He pulls in and I see Flashback Grill and then remembered this was a place we wanted to try.
I had no expectations as I didn't know what to expect....
The food here, there is no word to describe it that would give it justice, it's that good!! Best breakfast food I have EVER had and if you haven't ate here, your taste buds are missing out. French Toast is my favorite, Pancakes I'd say are second. I like to think I've tried a variety of French Toast but Flashback Grill has set the bar, like this is the only breakfast I want to eat. This review is long, so Imma just cut to the chase. Eat here, and you will see for yourself why my review is so long and why I'm at a loss for words to describe the heaven I ate yesterday. Take yourself, wife, husband, kids, the whole family, whoever; JUST GO AlREADY!!

What we ordered:

French Toast Dippers: batter-dipped and rolled in sweet crunchy cereal, deep fried and served with maple whipped cream.

King of the Road (omlette): loaded with diced bacon, tomato, onions, avocado, and Swiss cheese. Side of home fries, homemade biscuit, and a side of gravy.

Bubba's French Toast: two slices of peanut Bubba crunch French Toast topped with a special peanut butter topping and whipped cream.
Added a side of hasbrowns, 2 over easy eggs, and four slices of bacon.

Update***

Went back for the second time with my husband and FIL and I had the Stuffed French Toast-filled with cream cheese and strawberry preserves and topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream. I also had two over easy eggs and 4 strips of bacon.

It's one of the best places I've eaten in the Springfield area. The burgers are incredibly tender, and the fries are crispy and amazing. My friends and I all loved our meals, and will be sure to come here again!

Tara was my server. She made everyone else look like they were going in slo-mo. Chicken fried steak was delicious. Cinnamon roll was very big and just as delicious. Have been back several times since.

The best chicken fried steak we've had in years! Homemade mashed potatoes, gravy and really fresh veggies. We topped them of with yummy pie!

Great service too! I'd weigh 600 pounds if I lived near here from the looks of the burgers, French dips, and fish and chips we saw served. Can't recommend enough.

Wow, this was our first time here and what a fun atmosphere with a lot of nostalgic signage and collectibles to see, this restaurant has fabulous food, with lots to choose from. Incredible customer service, thank you Samantha (Sam) for your bubbly personality you are great. Our food was cooked to order, served with a smile and was out of this world delicious, I give Flashback Grill a 12 out of 10. Thank you, and we'll be seeing you again very soon.

Best place for breakfast and lunch haven't been there for dinner yet but our family goes there every weekend

Great food, they have breakfast all day until closing time, atmosphere was amazing it felt like I took a trip back in time. Loved the service they were extremely helpful and polite. 👍❤

Flashback has been a favorite of mine ever since it first went in back when the original owners had it.

The food is good, the service is good and is a classic down home style Main Street diner.

Great place to get breakfast or lunch! Went to get dinner one night and it was so good we had to come back the next day for brunch! Great food, and AMAZING staff. Super fun and welcoming environment. Good prices as well, especially for the quality of food. 10/10 would recommend. Shout out to Ms. Lindsay (Lindsey) for great service.

Service & food are always spectacular. We come here often and love everything we've tried so far.

Featured is the stingray club, living on the edge burger, and mozzarella sticks. (Everything was delicious & we had a good amount of leftovers) 🙂

This is a great place to eat! We are regulars. They have very friendly wait staff and their busboy Wade is the best I have ever seen. We watched him while he wasn’t looking to see how well he cleaned and he washed down everything, even if it wasn’t used. We feel very safe eating here. I highly recommend.

First visit today and I am totally impressed. This place not only is spotlessly clean with a great atmosphere - the burgers were superb. The fries were some of the best I have tasted in the area and the service was charming.

We visited for the first time today. The service was great and so was the food!
But the reason we will visit again is Waylon! He is awesome at his job! He cleaned every bottle and every crook and crevice at the tables. And, he didn't swipe the crumbs to the floor! (Like we've seen way too often at other establishments) We were very impressed.
