Love the store, crazy 'bout the owner who is always friendly and upbeat. She truly loves her customers! I still find unique beads in this store that I have never run across in 20 years of bead shopping!

My all time favorite place to shop in town!!! Candace is one the most incredible humans I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She is very talented & she on point every single time, whether it be a gift for someone else or myself, I always leave her store elated with every purchase.

Such a beautiful shop with absolutely everything you’ll ever need! Hundreds of crystals and stones, and TONS of beads and beautiful jewelry. They also do jewelry repair. The owner and all the employees are very sweet and helpful.

There’s something for absolutely everyone in this shop! Must visit. I highly recommend!

I love shopping at Gems & Whims!! I’ve bought both my parents birthday gifts from here, and I can proudly say both were huge successes! This week I’m excited to have picked up all the beads and decorative pieces so I can start designing bracelets with my kids. Yay to keeping the kids occupied and happy!

A charming and fun local place to find all kinds of gems, beads, and handmade jewelry. There is so much to look at and choose from. The owner is very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. You can choose from individual beads or buy whole strands. She also has lots of findings and jewelry making supplies. Today I bought a few pieces of Czech glass beads, resin beads, Opalite, Coral shell, and copper ear wires. They also occasionally offer classes.

I have been shopping at Gems & Whims for several years now and have never been disappointed. Their handmade jewelry is stunning. If you have ever handmade a piece with high quality gems and metal, it cost a little more, but you get what you pay for. I personally don't want to wear something that's going to turn me green.
Candice, the owner, won't steer you wrong and seems to always have beads, wire, or silver pieces on sale or drastically reduced. She's an artist herself and can help with anything you need. I love Gems & Whims!

Oh my, I would call this more like a magical home away from home before I would call it a "store", because of how amazingly kind, caring and welcoming the beautiful owner Candice is!!! The first time we ever went into Gems and Whims WE WERE IN AWE!!! So much to look at, so many BEAUTIFUL THINGS/ART! I had my daughter (who is 11years) with me and OH MY how she fell IN LOVE AT 1ST SIGHT with Candice's little co-owners! Those sweet whittle furry, little four legged baby's of hers are the most adorable puppy's my daughter had ever seen! (Using my daughters words, and yes, I too agree)☺She allowed my daughter to come behind the desk and pet them, she was so helpful to my needs that day!!! Candice REALLY PUTS HER HEART AND SOUL INTO HER GORGEOUS WORK! So if you want to see a beautiful space, meet beautiful people and the cutest pups EVER, while looking at some amazingly beautiful jewelry, art, you name it....THEN GEMS AND WHIMS IS THE MAGICAL PLACE YOU WANNA GO! I shopped at Gems & Whims while on vacation. I love this shop. The owner went above and beyond to assist me. I was looking for a particular color of wire which she had at home. She was willing to have someone bring from her home to the shop so that I could have what I was looking for. I really appreciated the offer and will definitely visit again when I am in the area.

Plan to spend lots of time in this shop. You will find, not only beads, and findings galore,also, tucked away throughout the entire store is every style of beautifully hand crafted jewelry you can imagine. A pure feast for the soul. Enjoy.

Gems and Whems is the place to go for specialty beads. They have semi precious and precious stone beads. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful for all your jewelry making needs! If you aren't crafty but have a jewelry design in mind this is the place to go!!!

Amazing people and amazing products that are very affordable. I love how they are willing to work with you and help however they can. Answered any and all questions I had. It's great to know someone who has knowledge of what they are selling. I will definitely be going back again.

Literally a hidden gem! Beautiful gems, minerals, crystals, etc., for very cheap prices. One of our new favorite spots in Johnson City! Highly recommended.
