Freiberg's

First time trying out this place. The young man who greeted us was very nice and welcoming, we waited for about 15 minutes. It's a very cozy place with plenty of space on the second floor. We had a cheeseburger and a salami with bri cheese sandwich on a pretzel bun, they were very tasty. Our server was very nice.

I can’t speak highly enough about this restaurant. My wife ordered the schnitzel sandwich. She described it as crispy, moist, and well seasoned. The sandwich was absolutely huge! I suggest replacing the Munster cheese for beer cheese! I went for a smaller portion when I ordered and
à la carte cheddar bratwurst with a side of Bratkratoffeln (fried potato’s) with a extra side of beer cheese. It was Smokey, cheesy with a good snap to it. The potato’s are fantastic. I highly recommend covering the potato’s with a side of beer cheese!

The food was great but the pan fried potatoes were very sweet for some reason : not a great taste for me ...

Another really solid meal in Johnson City. I had the Sauer Braten, Cheddar Brat and Fried cauliflower. All were amazing. Highly recommend.

This was the first time we had ever eaten here we traveled a little over an hour to try this place. The first thing I noticed was the location. It was right on the corner which was very nice and the décor was very beautiful. We got the Pretzels and Brats with the beer cheese as an appetizer and they were phenomenal. The pretzels were soft but with a slight crunch just enough. For our Entrees we got the Sauerbraten and the Bratwursts sampler with the 3 types of Brats and two sides and for sides we both got the red cabbage and pan potatoes. The food was beyond amazing some of the best food I have had in months. The Sauerbraten was so tender and the brats were so juicy. The potatoes had the best taste and the cabbage was some of the best that I have ever had in my life. I wish I could remember the waiters name because he gave us top notch service. He was great!!!!!! We will definitely be coming back and we will also be recommending you all to everyone of our friends and family!!!

First time here and it was beyond expectations. Huge portions for the price. Great service in a Quant little corner resturant. Will definitely return.

Come hungry! Everything from appetizers to desserts are going to fill you up. If you’re worried about carbs then this should be your cheat day. Everything was delicious comfort food. I wanted to be home by the fire on a snowy day eating this! Mmmmm! And my leftovers weren’t disappointing either. Drinks were huge and always full, and our server was great! Don’t skip the red cabbage or sauerkraut, they were amazing!

Always a great place to grab some great German food. Had schnitzel and potatoes with bacon crumbles and onion. Pretzels appetizer was very soft and warm with beer cheese and honey mustard.

Got a to-go order after class today, never eaten there before, and got the cheddar bratwurst, bavarian potato salad, and red cabbage. It was honestly the best lunch I’ve ever had. Everything was delicious and the price is such a plus!

Our friends drove my sister and I here for a reason. It was quite a drive and well worth it! The sauerkraut and franks were absolutely delicious, and the radler was a perfect drink to go with it. The service was prompt and friendly! I hope they drive us back soon!

Wow. A little gem of a German restaurant. We turned around after seeing it listed on a highway exit sign and then used Google maps. Really good food. We arrived right around 5pm. Seated quickly. Waitress knew her stuff and service was great. It was just a great dining experience for me and the wife!

Freiberg’s Schnitzel - WOW!

The schnitzel was amazing, with a cordon blue style cheese and onions (beer cheese dip) I could eat this every day and not get tired of it!

This place reminded me of when I visited Germany in a small town. Definitely has the same feeling. Great beer too - I got the Dunkel.

I’ll be going again within the week! Highly recommend this place. They know how to cook.

Totally affordable! Food was amazing 🤩. It was crazy busy but the staff were on point. I would highly recommend stopping here. Just know from the outside the building doesn't look like a typical place,you would have a restaurant. So just be mindful when you're going there to eat for the first time. It is easy to walk past. The fried potatoes with the peppers and onions.. is on point!

My fiance is half German and Italian. So I decided to surprise her with a trip to Freiburg's hoping to attempt to stir up some memories from her childhood. She loved the place, the smiles on her face from reading the menu were priceless. The food was excellent, especially the beer cheese, pretzels, and schnitzel. She also loved the German potato salad which she described as having a bite to it. They have a few German beers on tap which was nice. The service was great and the restaurant itself was relaxing and enjoyable. We loved it.

It was my first time trying this restaurant and I really liked the food. It tasted fresh and with lots of flavor.

Brats and sauerkraut were really good. Hamburger on pretzel bun did not hold up well. Delicious but fell apart. Soft pretzel was better than i thought it would be. Overall i liked eating at this restaurant. I liked it because it was not my usual fare.

Excellent food! Great service!! Definitely recommend everyone try it!
